I am laughing after reading Valerie G's review - stating she's surprised she hadn't done this yet - I feel the same way! Dr. Saltman has been a big part of my life for more years than I can possibly count now - taking care of all my nutritional challenges and making sure I don't take the wrong supplements which would make things much worse! I am sensitive in a way that's just plain weird - and most foods and supplements are dangerous for me. Dr. Saltman helps me to navigate this toxic world safely - saving me so much pain and anguish. And now that I had an unfortunate year of accidents, he is also taking care of my back and neck. There have been times when I've had an ailment that no one else could figure out, and he finds the answer and CURES IT! Do you ever read an article about building better habits and just think, "I'm just not disciplined enough to do this"? I give up before I've even begun. Donnie Richardson refuses to let me get away with excuses. He has a system for I proving mobility and stabilizing the lower back. It strengthens your core. The thing is, it's so easy to do the routine when they're right there urging you along. And unlike that personal trainer at the gym who has no clue what lower back pain is about, Donnie is extremely knowledgeable about managing exercise when you have injuries. So even though I thought I would give up, these guys didn't give up on me. I actually enjoy exercise now. I know how to keep the pain from flaring up. I have stomach muscles now. I never had anything but a soft blob for a belly. Now the blob has a firm center. Like a rock in a marshmallow. But the marshmallow is shrinking and the rock is growing. How in the heck have I not yet written a review for my beloved, brilliant Dr. Saltman?! My fiancé and I have been going to him for years, and he's nothing short of a miracle worker. He's a gifted chiropractor, but also has literally changed both our lives with nutrition via kinesiology muscle-testing -- I'd imagine nearly everybody in the U.S., especially those on ongoing prescription meds, could use a thorough going-over and supplement regimen. One of many examples: Last fall my annual bloodwork came back with skyrocketing cholesterol numbers -- 308 total cholesterol (healthy is considered under 199) and 206 LDL "bad" cholesterol (healthy is under 99). Ack! My traditional doctor immediately suggested statins, to which I immediately said no way in hell; and promised to get it under control naturally. I tweaked my diet (good-bye frequent bacon, hello morning steel-cut oats), and put myself on a serious supplement regimen including supplements from Dr. Saltman. Six months later I retested -- total was now 220, LDL 134! My regular doctor was stunned, and said that the first test must have been inaccurate; I responded uh, no, that was a ton of work on my part, thank you very much. :) And no awful statins needed. My fiancé had chronic severe headaches, terrible sleep, and ongoing sinus issues; Dr. Saltman was able to pinpoint a host of food allergies/sensitivities and weak organs, and over time fiancé has heavily reduced the headaches, attained much better sleep, and has clear sinuses for the first time in his life! We were told recently by our regular doctor that most people in our age bracket are on two pages worth of prescription meds; the two of us are on zero. Zip. Nada. That's 100% due to Dr. Saltman. Go see him; you won't be sorry. He's amazing, and a lovely human bean to boot. read more

I was referred to dr Ron from my daughters therapist who is in Atlanta but use to live in California ..my daughter and I both have gut issues .she saw a doctor in Atlanta who cleared everything for her and since I was referred to Dr. Ron I've been there almost a year and what a night and day difference. my first time inI was crying hysterically because I literally could not live with all the gut issues I had ..he took the time to listen and we took our baby steps and pushed forward . I may have flareups here and there but I go in and he does nutritional muscle testing and we figure out what the problem is.. best doctor hands down!!! Dr. Saltman is the only Dr you want to see at this office. If your looking for the best nutritionist in California as well as chiropratic needs you found the right place. I first met Dr. Saltman when I had broke my ribs. I couldn't breathe for 2 weeks and down right scared to death to think he could adjust my ribs with manipulation. It worked and I have trusted him with all my medical needs since. I would give him 10 stars if allowed. One Brilliant Dr that saved my life. This place is a hidden gem. Friendly and knowledgeable staff (make sure to get Dr. Palmer.) I come for adjustments and physical therapy and I get so much attention- it makes you feel really well cared for. I've been to other chiropractors before who do the same "routine" adjustments on every patient, regardless of their problems; my treatment has been very specific and I can tell that Dr. Palmer takes copious notes regarding my progress and is always focused on MY specific treatment plan. This is not a one-size-fits-all "adjustment shop" by any means. He really listens to what I'm feeling and he works hard to explain to me what's going on so that I can understand my body and its healing. The waiting room is full of nutritional and holisitic reading material, and I can tell that there's at least one chiropractor here (don't know which one) who pushes nutritional supplements and "cleanses" on their patients. There's a tv in one corner that plays a looping video about "muscle testing" for nutrition and allergies that makes me roll my eyes every time I walk in, but it's quiet so you can ignore it. Despite whatever else is going on here, you'll be safe with Dr. Palmer; I've been with him for months now and there have been no hidden agendas, just honest, focused treatment. They also have a good masseuse and I was able to get a same day massage appointment with her. I think it was only $50 for the hour and you don't have to be a patient. read more

I have been coming to Universal Chiropractic for several decades and have been very happy with my results. Dr. Ron Saltman has taken care of numerous back issues over the years (brought on by car accidents, horseback riding, etc.) and now I'm on a monthly maintenance program. I drive over 50 miles one way to get to my monthly treatments and I will sorely miss him when I move to Arizona in a few months!
