You can't beat a $5 haircut, especially if it's a good one. I've been coming here for several…read moremonths now. They also do $5 shaves. They include a free neck shave with every haircut. The haircuts seem to take a bit longer, as they are student haircuts, but I don't mind the extra attention. The teacher checks over every cut, and I have not been dissatisfied yet. The chairs are a little close together, so be mindful of your feet, or you are likely to bump into someone. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I wish that they had facials, because that would make it complete, and still be under $20!!

My appointment time was honored and I was seated in a chair immediately. The barber (again very genuine person) was disorganized. He fumbled to find guards, scissors, etc for several minutes. I was in the chair for an hour but the actual action time was about 20 minutes. The barber would move onto a new task only to return to the same area several times to correct. He claimed to have 35 year experience but seemed unsure of every cut. He fumbled a lot with a beard trim. Often touching his smoke ridden fingers to my lips. I have had a beard for 10 years and always experienced barbers using combs to move around the hair. He even washed his hands in water and stroked my beard and hair, touching my face and lips (again). I can understand where beard trims are certainly intimate, but "keep your parts out of my mouth!!!" I suspect the gentleman may have had a medical event that made is nerves and arms shaken. In an attempt to clean up my beard line on my cheek, he used a phillips 3 head electric razor that took a chunk from my jaw line. I hope this review does not speak ill of the character of the barber, but this was an unacceptable experience. At my usual spot, I pay the same price but I get a suitable haircut, beard trim, hot towel to open pores before a straight razor, and a cold towel to relieve the skins stress from the razor. Same price, absolutely none of the equivalent service. Hey I am all for giving people a second chance or building up a person, just dont charge me $70. Avoid this joint.

I got my hair cut by Perry and he took an hour and 15 min to just do a low fade. I was going to ask him to cut the top too but he was very slow and taking too long and I didn't like how the fade turned out so I told him I didn't want anything else cut. He started lining up my forehead and I did not ask for that. All I wanted was a low fade and it doesn't even blend. I was also mad that they don't tell you it's cash only. I had to use their ATM and get an ATM fee. I will not be coming back. Perry is a nice guy but he doesn't know how to properly execute a low fade.
