The goods!

This is for their retail store only, not their salon. I was in the market for one of their Chakra sprays introduced to me at a yoga class. They smell sooooooo delicious! They have five different ones: Chakra 1/Root/Olibanum or Frankincense, Patchouli & Vetiver Chakra 2/Sacral/Sandlewood, Orange & Geranium Chakra 3/Solar Plexus/Fir Balsam, Lavender & Lemon Chakra 4/Heart/Sandlewood, Mandarin & Palmarosa Chakra 5/Throat/Grapefruit, Rosemary & Ylang Ylang Chakra 6/Third Eye/Pettigrain, Orange & Geranium Chakra 7/Crown/ Angelica, Elemi & Albinum (Chakra order is reversed b/c usually the Crown is first chakra but it's same principles) I bought Chakra 2 b/c love this particular blend of scents - yummy! Then the saleswoman was so generous & gave me all these samples. I never heard of Skin Script, skin care line - it's ok. But Aveda's Curl Enhancer Cream? Yes please! It hits right b/c I have wavy/curly hair & it makes my hair look and feel so much better. Definitely investing in some on my next visit.

What my hair was dyed to. Not anything like my natural hair color that I had shown.

Really sad to say that I will never ever be going back there. The girl who did my hair dyed it completely jet black when I asked for my natural medium brown color back!!!! I have called 4 times and have emailed a manager to see what they can do because I am absolutely devastated and they have not responded at all. It has been over a week since I've sent an email and it's pathetic that I haven't heard anything back. It seems like they just pushed this issue off to the side when really it should be a priority because they dyed my hair permanently black!!! I do NOT recommend going there at all. The staff do not care about their clients at all and it's really sad to see. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Just wanted to come on here to say that my experience at Aveda was amazing. When I go to get my hair done I am very nervous because I am very picky with my hair and ive had issues with salons in the past. But my hair came out absolutely perfect and beautiful. Cailyn Mckracken did an amazing with job my hair and listening to my inspo!! She is very professional and made my experience very comfortable and easy going. I will definitely recommend her to all my friends and family!!

Zerren knows how to do hair! I love going to a hair stylist and they give me exactly what I want and excited to do so. It gives me so much confidence walking out of the salon. So excited to go back to her and follow her journey!!

My skin never looked better thanks to Kodi! She helped me understand my skin and recommended products to promote my skin goals. She made facial and peel recommendations that resulted in my fine lines being reduced as well as giving me a radiant glow that's lasted long after each treatment. I'm so happy I had Kodi's care and expertise.

I went in and got a balayage hair treatment done today by Bella and it tuned out amazing!! Bella was very professional, nice, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend booking her for any future hair services. Will 100% be going back and working with her in the future.

I am a Black American old lady and appreciate the staff and how they take care of me. I received a deep conditioning, blow dry and a flat iron. I wanted a Silk Press but that's not what I received. The stylist was limited in products & equipment to produce a Silk Press. I appreciate the stylist making the most effort to style my hair. Thank you.

I worked for Avalon in both admissions and leadership roles and ultimately left because the…read moreorganization's values no longer aligned with my own. The most significant challenge was what I perceived as a disconnect between leadership expectations and the realities of campus operations. Admissions teams were often expected to meet aggressive enrollment goals while managing constantly shifting priorities, limited resources, and inconsistent communication. Much of my role involved translating unclear or reactive direction into something representatives could realistically execute. In my experience, enrollment volume was prioritized more heavily than retention, student preparedness, and long-term student success. This created confusion around performance expectations and what outcomes were truly valued. I observed situations where high enrollment numbers appeared to receive greater recognition than efforts focused on retention, student readiness, and long-term outcomes. I also observed inconsistencies in recognition, advancement opportunities, compensation practices, workload distribution, and communication that negatively impacted morale. Many talented employees worked extremely hard to support students and improve operations, but feedback and recommendations from frontline staff often seemed to go unaddressed despite recurring challenges. Another concern was the culture within leadership. Rather than fostering collaboration, there were times when competition, poor communication, and uneven information sharing created unnecessary tension between teams and departments. This often resulted in employees acting as intermediaries rather than being empowered to work together directly and effectively. I frequently felt that organizational decisions were driven more by enrollment growth and financial objectives than by educational outcomes, student preparedness, retention, or long-term student success. I also felt that the perspectives of employees with direct experience working with students and campus operations were not given sufficient consideration when key decisions were made. I also experienced and observed workplace interactions that I perceived as insensitive and, at times, discriminatory. As a biracial woman, there were comments and situations that made me uncomfortable and caused me to question whether all employees were being treated with the same level of respect and professionalism. These experiences negatively impacted my sense of belonging within the organization. Additionally, I had concerns regarding how employee complaints and sensitive matters were handled. In my experience, confidentiality was not always maintained in a manner that fostered trust, which made employees hesitant to raise concerns or provide honest feedback. While I cannot speak to everyone's experience, I personally experienced interactions that I perceived as dismissive, demeaning, and unprofessional. Over time, this contributed significantly to my decision to leave. I genuinely care about career education and the students these schools serve. There are many dedicated campus employees throughout the organization who work hard every day to support students and help them achieve their goals. However, I believe the company would benefit from placing greater emphasis on student outcomes, retention, employee development, transparency, accountability, and stronger alignment between leadership decisions and campus realities. Pros: Dedicated coworkers, meaningful work with students, valuable admissions and leadership experience. Cons: Heavy emphasis on enrollment metrics, inconsistent communication, frequent shifts in priorities, limited recognition of employee contributions, concerns regarding workplace culture and confidentiality, and a disconnect between leadership and day-to-day operations, main focus being securing the 20+ grand from students for tuiton and not actual education.

I came for a blowout, and right off the bat, it was evident that the trainee was not experienced with blowouts on long hair. However, I had no issues with the trainee itself. The trainer would come here and there to give some pointers, but after the wash and comb through, the trainee spent several minutes on one small section of hair while we were almost an hour into the appointment. While the trainer was there, I politely asked if it would be possible to complete the blowout in 30 minutes, as I had to be somewhere. This was on me because I have longer-than-average hair, and I should have double-checked while making the appointment. I was told that it would take about an hour when I made the appointment. The trainer got super defensive and stated that I was asking for too much, and this would technically be an $80+ blow out (my blowouts at traditional salons have never been $80+). I was surprised as to why he was so offended when I only politely asked and even offered to come back at a later time, as they close at 3 pm. Nonetheless, my event was postponed, and I was able to stay for longer, but the trainer ended up doing the blowout while the student watched. What I don't understand is why the students are made to do the service independently when they do not have much experience. The trainee was very sweet, and I understand that they were trying their best. It was overall a strange experience, and I don't think I will go back again. The results were just okay, and the curls did not last through the day.

I attended this esthetics school and it was one of the worst experiences I've had. The teachers were not helpful, and I hardly learned anything during my time there. The school is extremely disorganized, and don't even count on trying to get them to answer the phone to speak with someone to solve your problems, they never do. A big warning if you're thinking about the laser program: do not sign up for it until after you've started the esthetics program. In my experience, they enrolled me in a dual program without me knowing, and when I wanted to drop laser but stay in esthetics, it became a huge fight and this happened to many others. When I first enrolled in the school, they EMPHASIZED that I was able to drop the laser program at any point during my program, well this was a lie. They still make you pay a portion of the laser program, and dropping it took constant follow ups because administration would not respond. It felt like they were trying to pressure students into staying in the laser program. I've also heard the laser program itself is not worth it, and you would be better off at another school for a shorter amount of time. Administration was a mess from start to finish, whether it was payments, signing up for state boards, or anything else. Getting a straight answer was nearly impossible. Students were finally signed up for state boards months after graduating. Overall, it was a waste of my time and money. Please do your research and consider other schools before enrolling.

We learned about the skin, skin care ingredients, and even things like toe reading, aromatherapy, and massage. I really enjoyed my time in the clinic as I got to work on clients from the public doing services like facials, microcurrent, chemical peels, waxing, brow and lash tinting, and microdermabrasion. It feels like it was just yesterday that I graduated from there. I have been an aesthetician and cosmetic laser technician for almost 5 years now! My work life balance has been great. I don't break my back working somewhere that I LOVE. During the program I also learned how to grow professionally which I applied to my personal life and I'm miles better than I used to be. More mindful. Now I am enrolled in the YTT 200 Yoga teacher training program and I couldn't have made a better choice. I am learning how to teach and learning things about the world of yoga that I had no idea. I am set to graduate sometime in August and I'm savoring everything along the way. I'm really interested in taking the nutrition course and then herbalism next! SIDE NOTE: I also love the benefits you get from being a student, like discounted services in massage clinic, discounted or complimentary yoga classes, and other little fun treats.
