Loved my haircut at Gentlemen's Barber Shop when I was in Phoenix visiting family. This place was not too far from my hotel near the airport, so it fit the bill. I was able to schedule an appointment via Yelp, but don't lol. The owner doesn't have a great opinion of Yelp and prefers his reviews and bookings via Google Maps. This was my first cut since the lockdown, so Benjamin had his work cut out for him. The place is very clean: Clorox spray and wipes in plain view and Benjamin cleaned the chair throughly before I sat down. Social distance regulations now require no waiting inside so everything is by appointment. Appointments are very easy as he prefers text messaging. I got my appointment quickly, despite it being the first weekend barbers could open their doors. Benjamin was wearing a mask so everything is in full compliance. He was constantly cleaning his scissors and equipment throughout the cut. After about a minute you will figure out he knows what he is doing. His scissors are almost as fast as his electric razor. I was in and out in about 10 minutes with a 5 star cut. I will definitely be a regular now. read more

Great place to get a cut! It's a small shop and not really a place you'd think to get a great haircut at but I can assure you that the man in there gives great cuts. I pulled up and there wasn't any cars outside except for one which I'm assuming is his and it made me have second thoughts about going in but I'm glad I did. Since there was no one in there I was able to get my cut immediately and he took about 5-10mins to cut it the way I liked it. So if you like a quick and nice cut this is your place read more

The barber has good skills and would be a better barber if he didn't rush. I appreciate the effort in saving time but haste makes waste. Do the job and do it the right way, don't rush thru the job. Also, Benjamin values his friends more than the average customer Joe, so if there are customers already in queue, he will move his friends to the beginning of the 'line' with the excuse that his 'friends' had previously texted him and made the arrangement. Unless all customers are made to make appointments, you should honor the First Come, First Served rule. Benjamin will rush you off the barber chair, in order to service his 'friends' faster.
