My first time at the barber shop. I told him the haircut style that I wanted. He didn't listen and did his way. It was the worst barber haircut that I had. The trims were choppy, not clean cut. My hair was uneven. Just a horrible cut. I would never go back there after paying him $30 to cut my hair under 5 minutes! That tells a lot right there. I am truly disappointed. Wow! What an experience. Vlad was amazing. I brought my husband for the haircut. He asked the proper questions to get his haircut done right. I do recommend great guys who are nice to kids. It's nice in calm in there with an old style and cool leather chairs.

Do not go on a Sunday. It's my only day off so wanted to get a quick haircut didn't ask for anything crazy just a fade and short on top. The man let the clippers get overheated and at several points I had to tell him it was too hot. He seemed like he was in a rush too didn't pay close attention to certain detail like cutting the top more evenly. To finish they use the straight razor which while doing burned more than normal and upon me getting home and looking, I realized how badly they had cut me. Service and quality have gone down a lot. the old guy with the picture of Armand Assante does a good job. If it's not him just leave. worst cut I ever had. horrible lines barely attempted fading my medium fade. Left patches of tuft in my skin to 3 medium fade. I feel like my head looks like a 5 year old girl's Barbie doll first hair cut. I have to go somewhere else to get this fixed. I hope their shoe repair is better than the quality of barbering. read more

Two compliments on my haircut so far, which is two more combined than my previous 8 haircuts in this city. Found this small shop using yelp after the chain up the street had a line thing going on. Watching other people get haircuts is not usually fun. Well, no wait here and the owner cut my hair for $14. He has 40 years of experience from Russia to Brooklyn and now to Phoenix. Some solid conversation about New York ensued and before you know it the grand finale came in the form of a semi-hot scented towel on my face and head. Excellent job, will be returning. Some shaving cream and a straight edge is also involved near the end. Harmless fun. Luckily, no massage was involved as per the other review - that would have been a bit creepy from a 60 something guy. read more

I am new to Scottsdale and this is the only Barber that I could find open on Sunday! They have hot Eucalyptus towels and give you a massage! To finish it off they put a straight razor to the hair on the back of your neck and you feel clean cut! Highly Recommend! read more

Calm, quiet environment. Very short wait time compared to the Great Clips a couple of blocks down the road. Customized attention with older, experienced gentlemen. It looks like an old time barbershop when you walk in with mahogany and marble trimmed counter tops and old style leather chairs. He takes his time, is patient, asks you for feedback and is great with the scissors. This was my sons favorite place to get a haircut. Yesterday he got a haircut, he tipped well. He went back today to get a little trimmed off the side and the woman that cut his hair gave him a hard time about trimming what she cut yesterday. She wanted to charge again. There were no other customers and she made a big deal about him wanting her to fix the sides. We won't come here again. I read the other reviews, I know a man cut my sons hair in the past, this was the first time she cut his hair. She is impersonable, moody and has zero customer service skills. I signed up on Yelp just to write a review of this fabulous barber shop. Was traveling through Phoenix and happened to stay in the hotel next door. It's run by the owner - an old school Italian (guessing) man who takes great pride in his work. This is not the place to go if you're in a hurry. He takes his sweet time and treats your hair like he's sculpting a work of art. At first I was a little self conscious since there were people waiting. But the end results were incredible. I'm not the type who fusses much with my hair but received so many complements for the next few weeks, just had to let others know about this wonderful hole in the wall. He even brings out a straight razor and cleans up your eye-brows and offers a nice old-school shave. Highly recommended if you want an AAA haircut from a classy individual. read more
