I won't go anywhere else. My kid loves it too. These guys, Boris and Emmanuel, not only know how to cut a man's hair. They have their space dialed-in, too. The magazines. The A/C jamming. Sports and news on the TV. Good conversation if you want it. Silence and "get the job done" if you don't want the chatter. That they came from Brooklyn and brought the NYC barber sensibility to Phoenix speaks for itself. I'm a fan and I hope they get a nice customer base. Lord knows there are plenty of guys who want a no-nonsense place to get their hair cut, too. Prices are right. They treat kids well, so if you're juggling dad duty, go ahead and expect the candy treats for the kids so they sit there quiet while you get your hair cut. Straight edge razor? Done. they have that. Not the friendliest barbershop. I moved into the Arcadia-lite neighborhood about a month ago. I went to check out this barbershop and my first experience was very bad. No one greeted me when I walked in. When I sat down with "Boris" he looked very upset. As soon as we were going to get started. Another customer walks in. Boris greets this customer so well. He then tells me to get off his chair and move to the next one so he could take care of his instead of me. I end up getting my haircut by the new guy. Seemed racist. (I am brown btw) I give this place another shot today. I walk in and they stare at me and look away extremely rude. They made me feel like they don't not want my business. My money is green like everyone else's. I deserve to be treated with respect. Anyways, that's my last time going there. If you are a person of color. We were a walk in, but now will be repeat customers! Very friendly greeting, clean space, and Boris did a great job cutting my husband's hair. Even did the hot towel trick and shaved his neck with a straight razor. He really seem to take pride in doing a good job and making sure that we were happy. Just got my haircut at Arcadia barbershop. It was an all right experience. I told Erik what I wanted and he got to work. He didn't listen to me for more than five seconds before he started. Many times throughout the haircut I tried telling him specifically what I wanted and he got a little snappy and told me to just relax. That happened about three times. At the end of the haircut he showed me and it was decent. Not exactly what I was looking for but I wasn't looking to stay in there any longer. At the end of the haircut he did give a hot towel, and aftershave so that was a nice touch. This business also does not take card so that's another thing that I did not necessarily love. All in all I give it three stars. If you are looking for a quick generic haircut this is the place to go but if you have anything technical I would find another place. read more

I was looking for a barber shop that was close to Paradise Valley and this happened to have great reviews and seemed inexpensive. I came into the barber shop and was slightly greeted by whom I believe to be the owner. Waited not too long but noticed that there were a family of kids getting their haircuts. The guy cutting them did an exceptional job and treated the entire family very kindly. If you have kids, this place knows how to deal with them. I'm very particular when it comes to my hair being cut by another person but my directions are not to complex. I told the barber what I wanted and he pretty much went over the top dealing with my head of hair. Definitely worth the drive and if I ever need a haircut again, I'll be making the trip. read more

After moving to Arcadia last September I was on the lookout for a new barber shop, little did I know I wouldn't have to look much farther than across the street! Upon arriving I was instantly greeted by both barbers and decided to try out the new arrival Eric because Boris was taking care of another customer already. Going to a new barber can be a nervous experience but I felt right at home and explained how I wanted my haircut in detail. Throughout my haircut Erik ensured everything was turning out how I wanted and of course let me check out the back of my head with a mirror as well. Erik finished off with a straight edge razor for my trim and a proper hot towel and shoulder massage to send me along my way. Prices for various haircut and beard options are priced absolutely fair in my opinion and there are drinks or hair products available for customer purchase. read more

Horrible experience! I don't even know where to start. When I walked in the barber didn't even say anything to me, looked at me, smirked and then proceeded still not say anything. When I sat down, he said very loudly, "well you gonna tell me what you want or not?" I should have walked then. The dudes breathe and hand smelled like he smoked for a 100 years and never washed his hands. He was using a rough brush and kept smacking my head. Fucked up my gentlemen cut and did the worst fade ive ever seen in phx. NEVER comming back here. Everything is going fine until he takes AN ELECTRIC RAZOR TO MY HEAD....I SAID CLIPPER BALD NOT ELECTRIC RAZOR BALD. I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT, I PAY YOU TO GIVE ME WHAT I WANT!!!!!! Came in saw that it had great reviews and decided that my fiancé could get a good hair cut here. However as we entered the barbershop the barber didn't even get up or asked anything I had to say that my fiancé needed a hair cut. He then proceeded to get very aggressive in combing out his hair my fiancé has curly hair so he was obviously uncomfortable. My fiancé said long on the top and short on the sides this so called barber then proceeded to butcher my fiancé's hair and get upset and acted very rude to my fiancé when he said that he cut the top too short and left the sides too long. When we paid he practically threw the money at us. DO NOT GO HERE !!! Or at least go with the guy second chair from the window he is terrible never going back read more

We were in Scottsdale for a mini-vacation and my father needed a haircut desperately. We happened upon this plaza and were able to walk right in. The took my father right away and did an excellent job. The barber massaged his shoulders, put a hot towel over his face, cleaned his edges with a straight blade and gave him some style tips. The shop was really clean and the barber chairs were really cool. They were made with wooden handles. I wish his regular barber was this good. read more
