JESUS SAVES! I was lucky enough to be blessed by Jesus himself on the morning of 12-11-19. Jesus is a new barber in town, and rumor has it he may be the son of god, as his abilities can alter your appearance like no man I've ever met. I came into the barber shop in bad shape this morning...wildly overgrown beard, neglected hair, and low self esteem. Jesus has no problem changing the appearance of this broken mortal. In no time at all, Jesus was able to give me a impeccable mid-fade, beard trim, and warming of the soul with his upbeat personality. Jesus is a young guy, with a great attitude. His passion shows in the quality of his work. If you have to wait for him, I would highly recommend doing so, so you too can be blessed by the hands of Jesus. This is the best hair cut I have ever received. I will be sure to ask for Jesus when I return.

I am a native New Yorker and I have gotten many opportunities to have my hair cut by some legendary barbers. I came to this barbershop because I heard they are from New York and have some good reviews. It is very unfortunate,that artistic craft and legacy of New York City barbers dies in this non authentic New York style barbershop. My brother is getting marry tomorrow and my barber has the flu. It was an emergency and I decided to take the risk! The moment, I walked into this barbershop, no one greeted me despite the fact that it was empty! Two out of three barbers in this barbershop, did not want to give me a haircut! I overheard the two other barber who refused to service me, make homophobic jokes. I was hoping that this barbershop will help me prepare for my brother's special day. I was treated like a pest but I always try to be the better person so I left a tip. When, I looked into the mirror and I realized that the barber left a huge bloody cut on my skull. I have to now go to my brother's wedding with a bloody cut on my head. I can't believe I paid 30 dollars to get a cut on my skull. This was a horrible experience instead of being an exciting and happy one. I wish I could rate this place zero stars. Do not go to this place because you will get a cut on your skull! If you are a member of the LGBT community, these barbers will try to take away your dignity!

Although tiny and easy to overlook, the barbers inside are very friendly and quite experienced. This may honestly be the best haircut my man has gotten in quite some time. Went in to trim off the beard and do the stache. New Barber I've never seen there. She is truly a Master of her craft. I have had wet towel shaves all over the world. Hands down this was the absolute best. Her attention to detail, the time she took, and whole experience were simply the best. I don't want anyone else shaving me. read more

It was great and I'll go there again. It was my first visit and found it through Yelp. No appointment needed. I had a short wait while the two barbers worked on the people in front of me. My hair is pretty thin on top so there's not a lot you can do with it, but the guy did a great job regardless. Trimmed up everything and $26 plus tip out the door. Recommend. read more

This place is exactly what we were looking for. My fiancé and my one year old got great haircuts. Boris did an awesome job on both of them. He was quick with my son and the end result was just like the photos I had shown him. He took the extra time after to teach me how to brush to style his hair. My fiancé's hair came out great. Roni is the man! I moved out here from Chicago and have always been super tight about who I'm gonna let cut my hair. Was trying to change things up, asked for some type of mint drop fade and Roni hooked it up. That was back in December of last year. Since then I've only gone to Roni for all my cuts. They always get me right here. I usually don't write reviews but I've been coming here for 2 years since I moved to Phoenix and couldn't be more satisfied with the haircuts I get here. Jesus is my go-to barber and does some amazing work there, he focuses and cares about the cut, which always makes a customer feel good. Arthur the owner is always super cool and very talented. They are usually pretty quick and easy to get a cut and they offer hot towels, beverages, and chill atmosphere. All around great guys. read more

This is the best barbershop in the city. These guys know how to cut men's hair., from traditional to modern styles. After my haircut, my stylist Eddie brings out the straight razor to create perfect edges. This guy can fade hair with the best. And just when you think your done, they grab a hot towel and place it over your neck and head to complete your experience. It's old school meets new school. The best of both worlds. read more

Hello! I'm a woman who has short hair and wanted a great cut. A friend referred me so I went for it! I'm thrilled with the cut. The barber was Albert, I think that was his name. He's new, young and had a great personality! He listened to what I wanted and talked me through the cut. Asking if I preferred this or that. I was really impressed and plan on making this my spot! The other guys in the shop were super friendly and I was not at all intimidated by being a woman in a barber shop!!! Great experience! I highly recommend anyone to try these guys out! read more

My sons and I have come in 3 times and have all been happy with the haircuts we have received! My older son has Jay cut his hair - outstanding job! David has cut my hair and my younger son's hair. Wow. Another excellent barbershop by the house in Phoenix. I usually go to Camelback Barbershop in the Biltmore area, but they are devout Jews. With that being said, they're closed on Saturdays to go to the synagogue. I needed a haircut today because my girlfriend was coming in to town and I couldn't look like scruff mcgruff. So i hopped on ol reliable Yelp.com and searched for a close barbershop. I live on 28th street and V.I.P. is right up the street. I believe Eric cut my hair. It was done very quickly, and the way he cut my medium skin fade was in a way I've never seen it done before. His line and edge up work was flawless, and it seemed effortless to him. IDK if I'll be leaving Camelback Barbershop for loyalty reasons, but this is just as good as a shop, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone if you need a haircut. read more

So let me share our 5 star experience:…read more I took my 5 year old son for a hair cut (to a pretty typical hair cut place) two days before picture day at school... what a mistake that was. ‍ The girl HACKED his hair up. It was BAD. That left me scrambling to find somewhere to fix it. I decided it would probably be best to take him to an actual barber who specializes in his type of hair cut. That's where The Dapper Devil and James comes in. I made an appointment for 5pm (now the day before picture day). Well... when we got there, my son was tired and generally overwhelmed by walking into a new place that looked different from the type of places he's used to going. He just melted down. I tried everything to talk him down and get him to come around to the idea. James was amazing, trying to get him excited but it just wasn't in the cards for us last night. James asked when I drop him off at school and offered to come in at 7am, THREE HOURS before they open to get my sons hair fixed up. We didn't need to be there till a bit later so 8am was totally doable for us and he insisted we come at 8am. Fast forward to the next morning (today). We got there at 8am and James was ready for us. My son was in a much better place and was happy to be there, but still a bit nervous. James was SO patient, kind, and even a little silly to get my son comfortable. He showed my son everything he was going to do, let him pick the comb color, the water bottle, etc to allow my son to feel like he was a part of the experience. James gave me some pomade and explained to me how to use it best to get my sons double cowlicks to sit down properly. And then.... He REFUSED to let me pay him for the hair cut OR the pomade. I practically begged to let me pay and he refused. He said he was happy to get my sons hair fixed up and give him a positive experience so he's excited to come back. Hair cuts have always been a touchy thing for my son, so thank you so much James and ALL the barbers there on Thursday evening who tried to help my son through the nerves. Discovered VIP Barber Shop about two months back. I just got my 2nd cut today. This place does it right: Welcoming atmosphere for all, perfect cuts and engaging staff. I personally have Arthur (the owner) cut my hair, but it seems like all of the barbers are talented and in demand. Getting married in two months and my old barber shop just couldn't understand the look I was going for. Arthur is super patient, listened and gave me exactly what I was looking for. I've had four cuts at two shops before I came here. I was disappointed with all of them, they were super basic and had no style. Arthur quickly took care of that! My only regret is I haven't been getting my haircut here for the last 34 years of my life. If you're looking for a shop with a welcoming staff who will send you off looking good, come here, you won't be disappointed. read more

Came in from the Massachusetts for a conference and needed a haircut so I thought I would give VIP a shot since it was close to the hotel, sure glad I did. After waiting less than three minutes Boris sat me down and treated me like I was regular customer who has been going there for years, that is so refreshing to see! Gave me a great cut as good if not better than my own barber. It's hard to find a place like this when your on the road, they even use a straight razor to clean up around the ears and back of the neck just as the old fashion barbers did, what a jewel! The most consistent barbershop I've been to in years. Always welcomed with a friendly greeting by all the barbers when I walk in. Haven't decided which barber is my favorite because each one has their own unique cutting style, but regardless you will love the outcome each time! I personally get a high top fade and they definitely have experienced fade barbers. Relaxed seating area, large tv's on espn or similar sport channels. Perfect ambiance for a barbershop. It's not a barbershop where they pick their favorite customers over you, they treat all customers equal, which has been a struggle for me. VIP Barber Shop is a great place to get your hair cut. A energized group of Barbers who all seem to really know what there doing. This last cut was done by Boris, he gave me the "Executive Contour " cut. This name seems appropriate as now I feel I can run any company that might come my way. This cut will allow me to take charge and become the Executive I was born to be. I have had other Barbers at this location cut my hair as well and did a equally outstanding job. All in all, this is going to be where I get my hairs cut from now on and I highly advice you to do the same. If there was a six star option, they would get all six ! read more

Vip barbershop is amazing they are great at what they do, fast service amazing vibe very friendly with everyone, perfectection with every haircut there quality is 5 star for sure! This is my first time coming to VIP Barbers Shop and the experience was stellar! I'm new to the area and I went to a local men's salon that gave me an awful haircut. When I arrived at VIP Baraber Shop later in the day, Boris was able to fix my haircut and beard trim I got earlier in the day. Older baby with the blond hair gave me the worst experience at a barber shop in my life.when I told her she didn't give me the right haircut I asked for she got really aggressive with the clippers.
