You've heard it before..."negative experience? I'll tell 20 people". My screen on my TV got cracked. I did not sign up for the $75.00 insurance coverage: big mistake! My $2000 TV, which is only 2 years old is going to be covered, by 2 men and a truck, for coincidentally, a $75.00 reimbursement. I can't even replace the screen on my phone for $75.00. Next time I'll use a different reputable mover and I'll get the insurance! Weird caveat... upon checking out on the tablet, the mover noticed the insurance fee on the bill and stated " Oh wait, you said you didn't want that. Let me call the office so they can remove that fee for you." Hmmm

I started calling movers while i was away on a long trip, and found: (i) Two Men was willing to provide an estimate without seeing my stuff, but their price was higher than it would have cost to buy all my belongings brand-new; (ii) all other smaller moving companies said the move was too far, they didn't do more than 100 miles; (iii) the 2 big companies, United (via agent Schroder Moving Systems) and Allied wanted to see my stuff in person. By the time I got back from my trip, Allied could not do the move until several weeks after I needed it to be done. So, fearing that a full-service move might be impossible, I made a tentative reservation with Uhaul, but called Schroeder just in case they could help. They sent someone out to do an estimate that very same day!, gave me a price which was less than HALF of what Two Men had quoted (and only a few hundred more than I would have paid UPack or Uhaul), and by the next day, had confirmed the move for my desired rapidly-approaching dates. My movers at both ends were awesome: friendly, professional, careful, on-time. All my belongings arrived in perfect condition (even a fragile already-damaged glass table), exactly when scheduled, exactly for the quoted price. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

When I asked if the price had changed his response was "nah, it's all going to the same place anyway."
