Fast, easy, and friendly…read more I needed some blood work done, and I absolutely refused to go to the Quest that's literally a block away from this location. I've been to that location multiple times, and every single visit has been a disaster. They always seem to mess something up, yet somehow they're always the victims. No apology, no accountability--just an "Oh well... we'll have to do it again." Trust me, I could say a lot more, but I'll leave it at that. So instead, I waited an extra week for an appointment at this other Quest location, and I'm so glad I did. Honestly, as I was walking in, I was thinking, "Great... Quest again." But holy moly... the young lady who helped me was incredibly kind. I hate using the word vibe, but wow... the vibe was amazing! Yes, I'm being a little sarcastic, but I'm also completely serious. I am writing this review for the location at 7345 Medical Center Drive location. I had to get blood drawn twice in a week and a half, and had the same technician, Berniece. I am a super "hard stick" and get brutalized EVERY time anyone needs blood from me. At least 2 - 3 sticks every time without exception! Berniece was quick, precise, and got it on the first draw (which is highly unusual!). I was hoping I would get her again on my second visit, and did! Again, she got it on the first draw. Both times, they were backed up and people were waiting in the hallway. They had been having some IT issues. Berniece was efficient, friendly, and fast! I am ONLY going to go to her for blood draws from now on! Even with all the patients backed up, she was keeping it together and working through the crowd. Someone give this girl a raise!

When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk for several minutes. When a staff member finally appeared, I was simply directed to use the kiosk, despite having questions that required assistance. During my visit, I also observed elderly and disabled patients who appeared to need help checking in, yet they were also directed to the kiosk with little to no assistance. After checking in, I waited approximately 20 minutes before being called. The employee who assisted me displayed some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered in a medical setting. Her tone was stern, dismissive, and unwelcoming from start to finish. I understand that drug testing requires specific procedures, but there is a significant difference between enforcing procedures and treating people with respect. Throughout the process, I felt as though I was being treated like a suspected criminal rather than a professional completing a routine employment requirement. Every instruction was delivered with an unnecessarily harsh tone, and the overall interaction left me feeling degraded and uncomfortable. Regardless of whether someone is taking a pre-employment screening, a court-ordered test, or any other medical test, patients deserve to be treated with dignity and basic courtesy. The entire experience felt cold, impersonal, and hostile. If I had a choice, I would not return to this location and would not recommend it to others. Unfortunately, this location was assigned by my employer. This was easily the worst experience I have had in a healthcare-related setting, and I hope Labcorp takes steps to improve both its customer service and patient experience.

He said Gary Shlifer. The rest is history. I live in the West Hollywood area and trek out to Woodland Hills to see Dr. Gary; that should also speak volumes if you know what LA traffic is like. I consider myself to be a quasi-carnivore now who has worked some things back into my diet, where beef is central to my plate. When I first saw Dr. Gary, I complained of chronic morning headaches and daytime fatigue. He immediately recognized it could be Sleep Apnea and set me up with Dr. Gabe Adorjan, who is now my dentist and sleep specialist. My prior dentist casually dismissed my complaints as mere teeth grinding. Sleep Apnea got promptly diagnosed via a sleep study and is now gone. That's just one example of the exceptional care I've gotten. I get incredible nutrition advice too because, after all, food is medicine. Supplements play a role too and Evolve helped me understand what supplements would be helpful. Dr. Gary interprets labs in a way where a value being out of the reference range doesn't mean there's necessarily a problem; in fact, it could be indicative of good health. The staff at Evolve exceed expectations too. Dr. Gary has a prescient eye for talent. A big shout out to Jocelyn and Alvaro, who take the concept of "going above and beyond" and absolutely thrash it. The entire office does an admirable job of staying on top of all the latest health trends too in today's chugging-from-a-firehose news environment; while, crucially, thinking critically about trends based on data as they arise. The open-minded integrative approach at Evolve reigns over all others. I typically leave the office having learned something new. One other important thing to note is that I get visibility on insurance and billing questions too. Evolve is the way.

The staff was too busy to help someone in their hospital wheelchair go to the restroom. That's kind of shameful. (edit: I had to drive 20 minutes to the hospital to help this person get to the restroom so they wouldn't injury themselves further while holding it in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) We get to the restroom and a younger nurse was using the accessible stall on her phone. Idk if she was using it for the toilet, because she left a stack of toilet seat covers on the toilet for some reason. Confusing. Anyway... not great. The front desk associate took like 10 minutes to get a wheelchair. The parking area is also very small. People were making up new spaces at the ends of the rows and along the curb, blocking the handicap parking, which isn't located near the ER entrance. Under construction, too. Are they updating accessibility? I wonder.

Fortunately, the technicians were very kind and patient. My appointment was at 10:10 AM, and I only had to wait about 15 extra minutes, which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. My biggest complaint is the parking. The building charges $2 every 15 minutes, with a maximum of $20 per day, which I think is excessive. I normally park on the street, but because I was short on time, I decided to park in the building. I was there for less than an hour and ended up paying $8. Unbelievable! It was a good reminder to leave earlier next time so I can avoid paying for parking. The highlight of my visit was the technician who drew my blood. Her name is Susan (she's asian), and she's a floater. My veins are very difficult to find, but she located one on the first try, and the blood draw was completely painless. I wish I could request an appointment with her every time I need lab work done. She was definitely the best part of my visit.

There was plenty of it, which is rare compared to other Labcorp locations where parking is usually paid and a hassle. The office is small and was pretty full when I arrived, but even with an appointment, I was called back within just a few minutes. Bernice was handling everything during my visit, and she was amazing. The waiting room had several patients asking questions and feeling impatient, but she stayed calm, organized, and efficient the entire time while keeping things moving. She mentioned it's usually a two-person team, but they were short on supplies that day, so she was holding things down on her own, which made it even more impressive. When it was my turn, she was professional and kind. I usually have very difficult veins and often get poked multiple times, but she got it on the first try. Overall, top-tier service.
