His crew was already in the neighborhood and showed up just a few hours later. They safely took down all three trees (including a full stump grind on the big one near the house), removed a giant heavy branch hanging toward our roof from the utility tree, and trimmed two others. Everything was done professionally with great care around the house, power lines, and landscaping. They clearly know what they're doing and worked efficiently -- the whole job only took a couple of hours. The price was very fair for the amount of work and the risks involved. The crew did an amazing job trimming several massive branches that were hanging dangerously close to our roofline. They worked with incredible precision in a very tight space between our house and the neighbor's fence, managing to lower every piece safely without a scratch to either property. They were able to flawlessly remove several branches, which were extremely high, in our backyard tree. Their communication was excellent and Erick walked the yard with us before they started to confirm exactly what we wanted and we were given updates as they worked. Not sure if it's a language barrier or a problem with their practice. It ended up becoming a "he said she said" scenario and we paid for more than we thought we were getting. Jokes on me for not getting an invoice in writing before paying them. I feel even more duped because they did some upselling once they came for the estimate. I took their word for it that it would be beneficial even if not necessary because we had them work with us before. I stupidly assumed they care about nurturing this business relationship. K & D came in much lower than the other 2 quotes I had received and my neighbor opted to just have the trees removed due to the low cost. I booked a date for the removal only a few days in advance and the crew showed up on time and got to work. A fence panel had to be removed from my neighbor's fence, as one of the trees was located in the back yard, and the crew removed and replaced the panel without damaging it at all. They ground out the stumps and cleaned up everything very nicely. I was honestly a little worried about the quality of work that we would receive based on such a low quote, but was very pleasantly surprised when it was all said and done. I would absolutely recommend K & D to anyone needing this kind of work done.
