His crew was already in the neighborhood and showed up just a few hours later. They safely took down all three trees (including a full stump grind on the big one near the house), removed a giant heavy branch hanging toward our roof from the utility tree, and trimmed two others. Everything was done professionally with great care around the house, power lines, and landscaping. They clearly know what they're doing and worked efficiently -- the whole job only took a couple of hours. The price was very fair for the amount of work and the risks involved. I hired Freeport trees to remove a large tree that was threatening my roof. They did a good job,…read moreclean up well but, two things: they left a large amount of shavings, too much that had to be hauled away by the new tree planter. And they left a large portion of the trunk in the ground that impeded the planting of new trees; they aren't evenly planted and it seems I will need to get the planter back and remove the obstruction and replant the new trees. I tried to contact Freeport but never got a call back. I'm disappointed, I'll have to pay to get this trunk completely removed. It's not my business and went into this blind, trusting Freeport to do a proper job. At this point its become clear that was my mistake. My advise is to be forewarned. Better, find another tree service. The new tree planter told me they completely remove the old trunks, had I known they also remove trees I'd have given it all to them.

Not sure if it's a language barrier or a problem with their practice. It ended up becoming a "he said she said" scenario and we paid for more than we thought we were getting. Jokes on me for not getting an invoice in writing before paying them. I feel even more duped because they did some upselling once they came for the estimate. I took their word for it that it would be beneficial even if not necessary because we had them work with us before. I stupidly assumed they care about nurturing this business relationship. Needless to say, they did not offer a remedy for the miscommunication - no partial refund, no discount for future work, etc. Maybe they have too much business to be bothered?
