The Oldsmar Post Office is hands down the most unprofessional USPS in Tampa Bay in regards to their mail carriers and lack of customer service. I have consistently encountered issues with mail carrier, Johanna, regarding any package deliveries that require a signature. On multiple occasions, Johanna has left a first-attempt notice on my door without even bothering to ring the doorbell, thus preventing me from signing for my packages. This is incredibly frustrating as I have NEVER been able to receive one delivery requiring a signature at my home. What is the point of using their delivery service if you must pick up your own packages from the post office? Today, I was expecting my father's death certificate, which had to be shipped to me via USPS by the crematory. I paid for overnight shipping, and of course, in this mail carrier's typical rushed and lazy fashion, she did NOT ring the doorbell for me to sign for my package. When I called the post office, the supervisor, basically informed me that I would have to wait for Johanna to redeliver the death certificate tomorrow or come in. What good would that do if she refused to ring my doorbell in the first place, other than to issue me a final attempt notibe? Our two cars were in the driveway for gosh sake, and we stayed home all day awaiting the death certificate. We were clearly home, and the time it took her to put the notice in the crack of our door, she could have rang the doorbell. So unprofessional! This was so disheartening and disappointing, as I desperately needed my father's death certificate to arrive today. I begged the shipper to arrange an alternative delivery method but they could not. Additionally, my experiences with package deliveries or shipping via USPS have been frequently lost, stolen, or undelivered, leading me to avoid utilizing their services whenever possible. Don't even think about shipping during the holiday season, as ALL of their seasonal staff steal your items as they know their positions are temporary. Unfortunately, in this instance, this was the only method for obtaining the death certificate needed to arrange the funeral. Just tired of constantly missing delivery days and a complete lack of caring by not only the driver but also the supervisors. Wish it wasn't a government funded service that couldn't care less! The person who we dealt with at the counter was EXTREMELY rude to us. Huey was the person "helping" us and he was so insulting and aggravating. I had brought some things to be shipped out thinking they would package them and print the label at the counter so I didn't grab a box while I was in line. I then was humiliated by Huey for not doing that and he proceeded to lecture me on if my QR code says G for ground and P for whatever which wasn't even visible till he scanned it. I had to get out of line twice because I mistakenly grabbed the wrong package. Basically, if I didn't take college class on how to do everything in USPS I was in the wrong. Huey repeatedly shook his head and was so extremely rude and sarcastic. What a horrible employee and customer experience. I will now be shipping anywhere else moving forward. I hope this person gets fired and they find something that will make them happy because they need it. read more

This post office is convenient when I'm coming home from Tampa. It's easy to get into and out of. It also has plenty of parking. The employees are always helpful, knowledgeable, and fast. Today was no exception. When I first triggered the automatic doors to enter the actual post office from the lobby & self service area, I had to stay outside for only a minute before the clerk called the next patron. Then everyone in line moved up to the next green line. The six foot social distancing is easily enforced with these green strips on the floor. Three clerks were on duty. In less than 5 minutes, the 3 patrons in front of me were helped and it was my turn. Surprised to open my mailbox and find an oversized package that didn't fit, was crammed into the box crunched up! I'm at this post office several times a week because it's the closest real post office near my home. I usually just drop off packages or use the kiosk. I prefer to use UPS, but for smaller packages it's cheaper to use USPS. The actual service here when you need to get in line is unfriendly. The workers aren't fans of helping customers. You can feel it. The more they have to move the more 'tude you get. A lot of my packages get damaged. I'm not sure if it's this post office specifically or USPS in general, but I just don't get the same overall service or friendliness as I do when using UPS. If it weren't for the few extra dollars in savings I'd use a different package service. Don't pull up a minute before closing. They are standing waiting to lock up as soon as the clock strikes. read more

Knocking off a star, because the self-service kiosk was broken, and the interior is shabby and unwelcoming. "A star" from four, that is, because, let's be honest, a five-star post office experience is the stuff of dreams. Much like a five-star DMV experience. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, cracking jokes but still moving the line along quickly. When the clerk informed me I'd have to ship my letter priority express to ensure delivery by the desired date, I had to fill out a new address form and switch packaging. But, as I was told, once I was finished, I was able to go back to the front of the line and finish checking out. Part of me felt like a jerk for skipping the other people in line, but most of me didn't. The table with all the different forms is a mess. That's half the patrons' fault and half the staff's. Why are people such slobs? And why can't anyone behind the counter come and tidy up once in a while? The world may never know. Overall, this was decent as far as post office experiences go, but the building definitely needs some TLC. read more

This is a pretty good post office. The location is good, with easy in and out traffic off of Tampa Road. The parking lot has lots of spaces, and a few even offer shade, which is nice during the sweltering summer months. Inside, they have a self service kiosk that I have never used, so I can't attest to that. They have a large selection of priority boxes and plain brown boxes you can purchase. They have some of the best stamps at this location, too. (Some designs are harder to find, and they usually have them.) The employees are fairly friendly, more than other locations and very helpful to get you the right service you need. read more

We went to get fingerprinted for a job overseas. Machine green-lighted the prints but were rejected by the FBI for "low quality". We called and asked if the prints could be redone. Gina said it was no problem, just bring in the letter from the FBI. We were there within 15 minutes and met by Diane, who said Gina was gone for the day (uh, sure). Diane proceeded to tell us she was NOT going to redo the fingerprints without another $50 fee and was under NO CIRCUMSTANCES going to refund our money. She was rude and just kept stating "it's policy - once our machine says the fingerprints are good, they're good. Not my problem the FBI doesn't like them". She has terrible customer service, and a terrible attitude. We will NEVER go back to that USPS store. I feel bad for Gina having to work for that lady. read more

For 10 years, I've been mailing packages from here, but if this wasn't the closest post office to Westchase, I'd never come here. The clerks are assholes, and have no sense of time at all. They seem to be in their own time zone; the international I don't give a fuck about you time zone. In fact, this is the only post office where I've actually gone postal and yelled at clerks. I'd use the automated kiosks, but I'm always shipping stuff to my old man in Japan, rendering those things useless. They do, however, have better personalities than the human clerks. If I could give no stars, I would! I have people mail me things all the time that I NEVER get. Are they eating it over there? I recently ordered something small from someone on Etsy, never got it. Luckily the seller was gracious enough to send a duplicate and I got the second one. My employer has a reward program where you can gain points and trade them in for gift cards. Recently I had two sets mailed to me and of course I did not receive the first set, only the second. It's like a bad joke that never ends. Dont know why this says I am in California, I Live in Oldsmar FL and I am posting about the OLDSMAR POST OFFICE/ POSTAL DRIVER. I have called & been to this post office several times to complain because the post man keeps delivering other peoples mail marked with other addresses into my box & my mail in other peoples boxes. Many times neighbors I don't even know will bring my mail to me that was put in there box (bank statements, court documents ... ) Car Title that I paid for never came in mail. I finally contacted DMV to find out why... They replied it was mailed to my address. Yet It NEVER came to my box! after complaining to the post office multiple times and them not doing anything about this problem I took it upon myself to speak to the driver myself. upon doing so, I asked him why my mail keeps going into other peoples mailbox & why do you keep putting other peoples mail with other addresses in my box? The whole time I tried to speak to him he never turned his blasting heavy metal down. When I asked him about my title never making it to my box, this incompetent Dill-rod just laughed in my face when I told him I know the DMV sent it and I never received it. I said to him, "You think think that's funny huh? To say the least, I was extremely upset! I called the post office again... What was done to fix this problem??? NOTHING!!! The postman just tells me they really cant do anything or know where my Title is and said if there was no Tracking on it, they wouldn't know where it is... The reviews of this post office are very negative and I really don't know why. I've always gotten better and faster service here than I have at any FedEx/Kinko's. I've never thought that any of the clerks were rude and any time the line gets longer than 3 people someone has popped out from the back to assist with questions or hop on one of the register stations. Some of the ladies and men who work there are even conversational. The usually have a good selection of stamps and I think my longest wait here was 10 minutes but that's very out of the ordinary. I've been coming here for about 2 years and I usually show up sometime between 2-4pm. Maybe the afternoon clerks are nicer or more efficient or something? It's easy to get in and out of the parking lot too, as long as people aren't staring at their phones and taking up both lanes of the drive! read more

This post office is busy, but perfectly located on my way home from work. I love the automatic postage machine in the main lobby, just swipe your card and this sucker will spit out any type of postage you need in any quantity you could ever want! We did a huge mailing for work and I needed 1000+ stamps....no problem, took me 2 minutes to get what I needed. Also if you have small packages or envelopes ready to go, they have a dump bin slot in the lobby to avoid waiting in line! read more

And usually the Post Office takes more than 3 months to repair the potholes, leaving customer vehicles open to the risk of damage (to tires and wheels) as they drive through the parking lot. In particular, the DRIVEWAY into the customer parking lot often develops a deep pothole; and you will be forced to drive your car over it in order to do business here. This would be located about 10 feet east of Bayview Blvd North on the Post Office Customer Parking Lot DRIVEWAY. It is very very difficult to see this pothole while driving your car. The Post Office employees that work here have a parking lot in the back of the building where they can park, so potholes in the customer parking lot do NOT cause them any problems. +++++++++++++++ 29 September 2017: Warning POTHOLE Hazard ! Warning POTHOLE Hazard at Oldsmar Post Office Customer Parking Lot ! We were having an issue with our Hold Mail order (why I did not give the station a 5 star) and I called to discuss it with him. Very pleasant, understood the issue and promised to get it sorted straightaway. He was also very willing to to work with me on extending the hold given the current challenges to travel. Notice the positive reviews here are those who don't have to interact with the USPS staff. Myself, I'd rather go to the dentist than have to interact with the USPS counter staff. At least at the dentist, they see me and treat me as a customer, not a nuisance. This particular PO is especially busy at noon. I've been in a long line with 3 counter staff trying to work the back log off, and then ONE OF THEM CLOSES THEIR STATION FOR LUNCH! Heck, I'm on my lunch break wanting to mail my items. Can you imagine repeating the same requirements and form information to about 80 people a day all day? I can, but I've never worked at the Post Office. That's why I appreciate this place so much. I show up, in a hurry with a disheveled, half sealed box and some custom forms- who knows what. I've been to this post office quite a few times since it's the closest one to my house. Every time I've ever been in there I've gotten attitude from the employees. I tried calling today to track a package and called them numerous times and it just rang. Then said they were busy to call back later. And while I've had my issues at other post office branches, I have to say that my experience with this branch over the last three and half years has been very positive. Today I went to the post office because I needed a change of address packet, and it occurred to me how positive my experiences of been here, even during very busy times like Christmas time, or tax time. Today they had someone who is a greeter for people walking into the post office, and he asked if he could help and I explained that I wanted the packet. He told me to wait for a minute and two minutes later he comes from the back room with a moving packet, and so I didn't have to wait in line. One more time that I had great service here. read more
