She seemed like a hard worker but had some complications and issues getting things done quickly, she seemed just seemed a little overwhelmed. I would come here again if it were for something small and I didn't want to drive further to get it done. So sad to here of the closed Downtown Safety Harbor USPS, but thank goodness for the Newly Opened Post Office Square! For downtown Safety Harbor Residents, it has been a joy to go to the regular Post Office downtown for many years. It relocated out of downtown leaving some residents hanging. Guess what? Now Post Office Square not only offers what the Post office can do, but a whole lot more. Post office square can do USPS stuff, FedEx, DHL, and in a little bit fingerprinting services too (they had the machine in the office, it just needed to be setup in the coming weeks). I brought in a package to ship that needed a little attention in the packing department (i.e. I didn't have tape at home, and I brought an weird box in) and the staff at Post Office Square Re-packaged everything for me safely and got my stuff to it's destination. I also learned that you can open a Private Mailbox here, it's like a P.O. box but with a real address! They will even grab stuff from Amazon for you! Are you a snowbird and want your mail to be down here in Safety Harbor and shipped up to you in NY or Michigan when you're up there for the Summers? Oh they will do this for you too! Had a great experience here and can't wait to continue to do business with them. As a bonus they have plenty of parking, and it's a convenient downtown location.

Ya know? There are those moments in life when one needs to eat a little bit of crow. Here we have…read moreone of 'em, and I'm kinda glad I get to share it with you folks. I ranted and raved about how slow, expensive and inconvenient this shop is. That said, I finally went to pick up my 2-piece suit and tie Tuesday, even though it was ready, apparently, the Saturday previous. So once I get in, I see that John must be watching the grandkids, He was nowhere to be found but I saw a couple of little kids horsing around in the back room area. So they call out to him, and a moment later, John appears. He apologized as I passed him the ticket. He finds my freshly cleaned and pressed suit, hangs it up and he laughs a little. Those two little kids are a handful but he's patiently watching after them as he runs his business. Meantime: $16.75 for the suit and tie! That, to me, seems quite reasonable: especially given the six-day turn time on the ticket. He didn't say anything one way or the other, but I kinda think I got a bit of a break here. It doesn't seem like he has much of a staff other than his wife who does the alterations and mending in the morning hours. There was a good sized heap of stuff waiting for service as well as full racks of other stuff waiting for pickup. John was more friendly and outgoing than usual this go round. He's usually a pleasant fellow anyway, but I kinda get the idea that I caught him in one of those "moments" where one sees the human side of his business, life, etc. So I gave John that extra bit of patience, courtesy, etc. as I gently joked with and spoke to him. Long story short: I think I'm gonna stay here as a customer...I still believe I'm looking for a service of convenience. At the same moment, it's also up to me to help support this small family business. No matter what, it's still about doing the right thing. John certainly seems to hold up his end of the bargain there. So what about me, you ask?? You just read my answer! Super easy to mail a package…read more I almost never go to the post office, but when BPB CM, Blue A., left his sunglasses in my car I had to figure out how to get them back to him. (Just know that he really liked those sunglasses or else they would have never found their way back to BPB). My sister taught me that USPS is the cheapest way to mail things. I once had to mail her glasses to LA and she got super mad at me for using UPS because it was a lot more expensive. I learned my lesson (not to do my sister any favors. JK, always use USPS and think long and hard about doing my sister any favors). I looked up closest USPS to me and it was this one. Know that the car wash is exceptionally popular so you might want to turn the street before so you don't get stuck waiting for the car wash to move like I did so I could turn into the gas station. The USPS is part of the gas station. There was nobody there other than me so I was able to walk up, put down the sunglasses and ask what is the cheapest way to mail these. The guy behind the counter was really helpful. He even gave me a sharpie to write the address on the padded envelope. For any purchases under $10 you have to use cash. For once in my life I was actually carrying cash with me! Go figure. It was nine cents over the dollar so I thought I was going to get back 91 cents. Nope! The cashier rounded down and let the nine cents slide. Thank you! I was in and out in less than five minutes. Now this is the way to send mail.
