They speak English. It's the cheapest place to get money order $1.32 fee for $1,000. You can send packages out which cost about extra $10-20 to send out of the island to the states. You would have to check with the postal service man depending on your state. There is parking lot outside the USPS, it's a little cramped but we never had trouble finding a spot. They put someone to deliver packages between 12 to 2pm, the employee have our contact information and he never call us to pick up the packages, also, when we go to the box i get the yellow slip which means that i have a package but the employee who suppose to be there until 2 pm is never there or he does not contact us or leaves before 1:30 and sometimes earlier. the result is that they return the package to the sender, you are paying for an employee who is not doing his work or left his area before the stablish. i am paying a PO Box and the service is horrible. For being in the capital of tourist attraction and city of San Juan, this post office is very run down and unkempt. The lettering is all displaced and from the outside looks nonfunctional. I do have to say when I entered I am entirely glad the AC was working. It is one person taking everyone on the line while another individual (this time a younger boy) was wandering around aimlessly. He could've taken some patrons to make the line lessen for the elder individual running the store at the time. USPS needs to look into renovating this location or looking into address some concerns about this location. I recorded tracking numbers when I purchased however it has been 24 hrs and both packages are still not in the system. I'm sure they probably are busy and may have some complications due to covid but this is ridiculous. I was told my package would be at its destination by now and I've yet to be able to even track it.
