This is the worst post office in every way possible, one star rating is too good. I live in an apartment with just 48 units, soooo much mail put in wrong boxes, packages not getting delivered to right address. I have been to the post office to speak with someone and it must be policy to just listen and then not give a damn as nothing will get done nor does anything change. The post office itself has changed, they used to be sort of professional, I have noticed most are talking on a phone while putting mail in boxes, just maybe if you put the phone down you could actually pay attention to what your doing, some of the female carriers wear shorts so short the look as though they dressed to go to the beach, party anywhere but to a job. I hate to say maybe the time has come to privatize the postal service as what we have now the management has let get to far gone and there is no one to care. read more

The office in Concord Pky is poor at best. I am last on the route, per my carrier, and I have not had mail pick up in three (3) days. The persons that fill in when my regular carrier is off, are not reliable. Maybe DOGE will look at this. I don't think Ben Franklin planned for this type service. read more

The USPS is a joke and needs to be privitized. The Mail is usually delivered to wrong mail boxs, even worse when there is a substitute mailman. The price of a stamp just went up yet im straightening out the mail thats misdelivered on our street. Stop hiring incompitant mail delivery people. And some times on sunday a private carrier also delivers packages that are already late. When tracking a package, itll come to gastonia then to charlotte, then to gastonia, then to concord. Went to mail a package and get a box to ship it in and the door says hours are till 5pm. I went at 230 and it was closed. So I thought maybe they were on lunch and went back at 3pm but it's still closed. Not a holiday and not a Sunday so it should be open. Kinda ridiculous that I can't access the post office. read more

I have an online store so I mail a lot of packages and this particular post office is always crowded, especially the last hour of the day right before closing and they alway only have one lonely teller to service everyone waiting on an extremely long line. There's usually a lady that works from a side window servicing people picking up and dropping off packages who don't need a receipt. The only problem with this is sometimes rude people will surpass the line and go straight to the window and bypass all of the people who have been waiting patiently for her to request them over to come her window. Get more workers, make a sign or an announcement... Do better USPS! read more

This is a full service post office, clean facilities, but never adequately staffed. It is not a rare occurrence to be greeted with lines spilling into the lobby. I have been going to this branch regularly for enough time to know that your experience largely depends on which clerk assists you. As a customer, you won't know which options are most cost efficient and the service schedule provided. Some representative seem annoyed that you don't simply take the first one offered. They maybe overworked but there are two clerks at this branch who are regularly irritable, and there are two who could not be more helpful and pleasant. I will leave you to learn who is who on your own. Hint: I haven't seen the pleasant, helpful female clerk in awhile. She may have been transferred. If you come in the mid morning you will have the shortest wait time, but come during lunch or late afternoon at your own peril. I rented a PO Box here, and that part of the office is available 24 hours to POB renters. It is also well lit and clean. Parking is never an issue either. My issues are that they initially gave me the wrong key to my POB and provided no notification when my POB lease was up. When at all possible I utilize the Self Service Options, another branch or just go to UPS. The Location in Downtown Concord and many Charlotte and Kannapolis are much better run. read more

REALLY unsafe virus practices and violating USPS's own official policies. Had to mail a package so thought this would be a one minute operation - major mistake! First of all the machine was not working (a sign would have been helpful so I didn't waste time already), so had to stand in line - only about 5 people ahead of me so thought it wasn't a big deal. About 20 minutes later if not more I got helped - but TWO of the 3 people interacting with the public were not wearing masks, and the 3rd had a cheap one worn loosely so hardly worth it. No sign on the door to let customers know they should wear masks, and about half were not. One employee at the customer service door spoke with a man who appeared to be Chinese-born (not that that matters that much now) for a very long time - both were not wearing masks and were talking close to each other. There was a big banner outside implying the employees were heroes - heroes of spreading the virus? You know people are dying, right? How about giving a crap? read more

I know it's weird to review a post office but I just HAVE to for Jerry. Jerry is awesome! He's been here the last three times I have come to this location and he is just a pleasure to interact with. He is fast, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. During my last visit, I was there to send something back I bought online and that company doesn't cover returns . I was going to just send it back to California in the flimsy little bag they sent it to me in but Jerry kindly informed me that sending it in the box, I assume a flat rate box, would be half the price and he switched it over for me. They are constantly delivering the wrong mail, they won't pick up packages that I've scheduled online for pickup at my home, they won't get out of their vehicle to deliver if it's raining and now they are leaving packages on the ground at my mailbox. read more

This is the worst post office ever. They lost my mail after dropping it at their mailbox. After a week or so my friend told me she haven't gotten my mail. So I called to see what's going on and they told me they would investigate. After a couple of hours they called back talking about they can't do anything because it doesn't have a tracking number. Excuse me it's just 1 envelope that I had to drop off because I have to work at 9am-10:30 pm in the morning when that's the only times your open so how am i suppose to get a tracking number. If your mailbox isn't safe than what's the point of having it when your just going to loose my mail and act like you can't do nothing. I have been coming to this location for a few months and so far no issues at all. It is a full service post office and you can get a lot done in here. Everything is always in stock like boxes, shipping supplies etc. This is one of the bigger Post offices I have seen and it's always very clean inside. The best time to go is early morning around 8:30 or so, chances are there won't be any lines and your wait time will be short. The employees are always very friendly despite probably being stressed because of the holidays. When you get to the counter the employees are fast, circle the tracking # for you on the receipt and are polite. This is the closest post office to me and so far no problems at all. 5 stars! read more

This is the most inefficient and poorly run post office ever! We have gone 3-4 days with no mail delivery at all and packages marked as "available for pick up" instead of being delivered, but when I go there the package is actually out for delivery a second time with no update on their Informed Delivery app. The postmaster at this location needs to be replaced, along with most of the lazy employees. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This post office is constantly losing our mail. We had a paycheck that was not received. When we contacted the office a woman named Cheryl answered. She told us to go through our job and have them figure it out as she did not see any issues with our mailing address. After over a week of going back and forth, she ended up calling us to state that the check was in their back room tossed in a bin all along. We ended up being behind on several bills due to this issue, as we get paid biweekly. Cheryl stated she should have given it more attention but didn't really think much of it even though she knew it was our livelihood. Then she went on a rant about being understaffed and having volunteers doing the runs. None of which is our problem. We have been finding now that we are constantly getting other people's mail, even after we send back to post office as RTS and they state they will stop sending it after constant complaining with the issue, but they do not. They can send us others mail, but have an issue sending the mail of those who actually reside here. The mail truck will come by around 1 to 2pm on most weekdays, but on days of pay or important things coming, they show up around 6 to 7pm which makes it difficult to contact people if there's an issue as most have gone home early. This office should be shut down if they cannot handle doing their jobs. read more

Sandy was rude and hated that I had to deliver mail out of country, she was yelling out to her co-worker "I HAVE A CUSTOMS, YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS" and I was shocked that she was upset that it was going to take a little longer. I was friendly with her and when she started being nasty to me I just stayed silent, I was in complete shock that she would speak to me that way when I had all my paperwork filled out and it was just one small package to send to my mom. I have lived here for 3 years. I constantly get someone else's mail, which means someone else is probably getting my mail also. I don't deal with the clerks. I use self service all the time. I have put in mail hold requests several times and the mail still gets delivered and my neighbor has to get it for me while I'm gone. The carrier just will not shut the mail box and when it rains, the mail gets wet. The carrier shoves oversized package deliveries into the mailbox, leaving half of the package sticking out of the box rather than bringing to the door and making it very easy for someone to steal. read more

Purchased a money order at this facitlity, 455 Concord pkwy post office. It is now lost in transit (so they claim). The post Master stated he would try to track it down, which I had already tracked it, and it stated in transit. The post Master said I bet it's at the Charlotte post office. He said I'll call you back today and let you know. Three days past after numerous attempts at calling and going back there to speak to him, only greeted with he's not in, or he left for the day. No one wanted to truly help. I had to go online to see how to get my money back. No one at that facility was helpful at all. I went back today to request the reimbursement form and they didn't even know what I was talking about. The front cashier said you have to do it online (which I already knew). I filled today for the reimbursement and it will be 60 days he said and that they will mail it to me. How do I know it won't get lost in the mail too? It wasn't just a small amount of money!!! I am so disappointed in our postal system as a whole. People just don't care anymore. read more
