Although, I've heard some good news as I was dropping off my packages today. The postal worker informed me that there might be another post office in the works. *fingers crossed* Postal workers are friendly despite the chaos, and the wait line can sometimes move really slow depending on how many employees are working. This place can get pretty packed and parking is limited. I almost got rear-ended today by some lady cutting in as I was parallel parking my SUV. There's lots of people rallying for front row parking, so be prepared to move swiftly. Otherwise, you're going to have to park across the street.

The last time I went the postal guy was very nice and explained that he just put out the packages and gave me a general idea of when to arrive for them. He was very kind and even went and got them instead of sending me there. Very good employees at this one. Some post offices are so-so but I really enjoy coming to this location My first time talking to the employee in this post office. I was mailing a if it fits it ships package. First they did answer the phone. I went very early and was there about 10 minutes before opening but had to stay in the car instead of standing in the lobby since I can't stand a real long time yet. She answered the phone when I enquired about the operating hours. They opened promptly at 7:30. I don't usually ship these type packages. She was very helpful. I was grateful and thankful for her advice. Sometimes I think that the post office gets judged a bit harshly. In my experience some don't want to be helpful and others really do care about you. I would give five stars but I only have had a one time experience w an employee from here. The positive experience Does influence my desire to return though. Update: Had to mail a letter in a hurry and got some cheap envelopes but they had a hard time sealing closed. I contacted the post office for assistance. I was reassured that UPS picks up the packages that their mail carriers pick up in error. Obviously, this is a common practice and nothing is being done to improve the behavior. I had paid for 2nd day air delivery due to a deadline that the package needed to arrive. Today the individual contacts me to share that they had not received the package. When I checked the tracking, UPS doesn't even show on their tracking system that they even have the package at all. I immediately contact the post office again, only to be basically told, I'm sorry but the package isn't here nor could they share when it was picked up. There is no accountability for the behavior of the employees of the post office nor was any concern shown for the grave error that was made to include the additional money I am out of for the pick up fee and expedited cost for the shipping for a deadline that was missed. The only thing I received was a flat and unresponsive, I'm sorry. Can't there be some additional steps or procedures established when you have put the customer in distress due to the mistake that is easily proven on my ring doorbell camera of the mail carrier picking up both packages or at least attempting to ensure that once you are informed of the mistake that was made become involved to resolve the situation instead of the oh well attitude that was shown.

I called McGregor about mailing post cards at the train stop. After some time of talking Kate was adventurous to drive to the Amtrak platform to pick up the postcards and mail them for me. This box of dog food has been on auto order for two years and only the two times it was sent through USPS did we have difficulties. If we wanted to come pick it up, it never would have been ordered through mail. On average, it takes 7 or more days for them to put new mail in my PO Box. I know this because I subscribe to the informed delivery service, so I know when the mail should have hit my home mailbox and forwarded to my PO Box. Complaining to the manager was like complaining to my dog. This USPS office is filled with inept people. They need to fire everyone and start over and not rehire anyone that is currently employed. But unfortunately, these are government employees and cannot simply be fired.
