The quality of the work was terrible, filled with mistake after mistake. The job involved a new door installation and the replacement of wood with PVC panels around the bay windows and chimney box--a relatively simple project, one would think. However, it was anything but simple for Clarksville Construction. Find a better contractor and save yourself all these problems. If you know of any, please add them in the comments. Here is a list of some of the problems encountered. * On the first day, the crew did not bring a generator, which caused the circuit breaker to trip repeatedly.  * On the second day, a drill was left on top of the chimney, which was very dangerous. My neighbors noticed it. They also commented that the crew's performance led them to decide not to use Clarksville Construction for their future projects.* I observed that a section of cracked 2x10 wood was used, despite my instructions to the crew not to use such materials. * Communication with the crew was very difficult. I can't imagine how anyone who doesn't speak any Spanish would manage. * The new door did not fit, necessitating the cutting of a section of the wall. * They failed to order a screen door and realized this 4 days into the job. * There were dark marks on the entire chimney siding. Scratches were noticed on the floor in the entryway.  *There were marks on the interior wall next to the door.* A stain was found on the rug. * There was a 1.5-inch gap at the bottom of the chimney box. * The wrong screen door was ordered, delaying delivery by 2 more weeks.* Insulation was not properly installed under the window boxes, resulting in my furnace running continuously. * The crew returned on February 6th, 2026, to address these issues. OVER four and a half months have passed since this project was to be completed. Unbelievably poor, a nightmare, and completely unacceptable!

Brian and crew replaced the floor with hardwood, repaired and painted every wall, reworked the electrical system, and found and repaired some subfloor damage not noted in the inspection. Brian worked to our budget as unforeseen conditions were revealed, and was always conscious of our not-to-exceed estimate. The quote from Luis was so low we thought that they would come back and tell us that they made a mistake. Nope. They just don't overcharge and they don't cut corners either. The work performed by Jose' and his team was flawless. The sucker actually took it upon himself to install the ceiling fan that we bought which was sitting in box outside the room! When done they cleaned up so that you never knew you had just finished a room. So yes; we were more than satisfied and you will be as well. I highly recommend this fellow and his company. We hired this company to replace our electrical panel and paid a deposit upfront. From the…read morebeginning, scheduling was a struggle. Communication was very poor--Luis, the person handling appointments, rarely returned calls, and we had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic updates. They even canceled on the same day they were supposed to come, which caused delays and a lot of inconvenience. Because of this, we decided to cancel the project altogether. During an earlier visit, their technician Ben tightened two outlet screws and replaced a GFCI outlet using our own materials. Before he did the work, I specifically asked about the cost and was told it would be free. After we canceled the project, we were unexpectedly charged $350 for that small task--without any approval from us. When I called to question the charge, Luis laughed and said "this is how it goes," which was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Overall, very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unreliable scheduling, and unexpected charges without consent. I would not recommend this company.

However, when it comes to Mark Brady, I cannot recommend anyone else with higher regard. Mark is a true carpenter and has done a variety of work around my house: ripped out old carpet, installed premium grade tiles, installed a beat board for my kitchen bar, and painted various areas throughout the house. We went with Mark based on the previous yelp reviews. He took the extra time to do the job right. Mark takes the time to finish the details. Not mention that he is reasonably priced!
