I started searching for a management company to run our HOA in April 2022. I was referred to United management from a friend. I remember the day when I first called United pmanagement. I was actually reading the horrible reviews the same time I was calling them and thank God for Lisa (owner) answering the phone as quickly as she did because if it was a split second later, I would've hung up. I had explained to them that someone had referred me to them but I wasn't so sure of wanting to hire them due to their horrible ratings. Lisa explained to me that they had just bought the business. I then set up an appointment with United management. I remembered Lisa did not show up but she was on video chat because her family had Covid. Her partner Mimi was present. it's a pretty good set up. Mimi does the meeting with the HOA board and explains everything and what they have to offer and Lisa does a lot of the bookkeeping answering phones etc. However, every time I call Mimi, she answers on the second ring. And honestly they all answer the phone right away. To whom ever is reading this review, If you're going through what I went through with our previous management company.... Not answering phones calls..not answering emails.. not spending the HOA money where promised..money disappearing, then united management is who you need to go with. Mimi and Lisa are a great management company and We don't regret hiring them. They have two outstanding employees Karla and McKenzie who are also helpful. Our community was struggling to the point if it went much longer in the condition that it was in, we were going to be condemned by the city. With good board members that are actually willing to work and an honest management company, you can go leaps and bounds quickly. When I spoke with Lisa first time I called United management, I explained that the only way that we would hire them is if they would let us find our own people to work around our community. Meaning our landscaping, Snow removal, anything that we needed done in our community. We wanted to avoid the up charging. Management companies unfortunately are not regulated in Colorado. With this being said, it's very important for board members to get involved with what is really going on in their community and with their management company. A lot of management companies will not allow you to do this. United management will. I can honestly say that this is not a company that will steal from your HOA. Their fees are very affordable and as a matter of fact, they were given a raise not because they asked for one but because our board felt that they deserved one. This was only after eight months of having them work with us.
