I returned 15 days later for the follow‑up appointment. When I received my bill, I discovered that the charges were submitted as medical rather than through my VSP vision insurance, even though the initial visit was intended to be a routine annual exam that should have been fully covered. During the second appointment, the same tests were repeated, and I was charged for them again. I have been attempting to resolve this billing issue for over nine months without success. The office has repeatedly stated that because a doctor spoke with me, the visits must be billed as medical. I requested that they review or locate the recorded call from when I made the original appointment, which would confirm the visit was scheduled as an annual exam, but they were unable to provide it. Ultimately, I was told that I am responsible for the charges. Based on my experience, I find their billing practices concerning and would not recommend this facility to others.

My local optometrist in Wyoming examined me and said that the left lid was affecting vision. It looked bad enough to consider surgery using my heath insurance. She recommended Dr. Michael McCracken in Parker, CO, south of Denver. I drove four hours to consult with Dr. McCracken. He and his staff welcomed me to their beautiful office, and gave me a thorough exam to determine my vision limitations. They explained the process of submitting the exam results to my insurance company and also told me what to expect if I decided to go forward with the procedure. I also had concerns about my right eyelid. The doctor explained that, while not as droopy as my left lid, it was deteriorating. He recommended fixing it and balancing my eyelids. The cost of fixing the right lid was reasonable, and for me, totally worth not looking lopsided anymore! Day of surgery, I was understandably nervous. The staff and Dr. McCracken could not have been more reassuring. I took my prescribed sedative one hour before the surgery, and I was only vaguely aware of what actually happened. Recovery was a little rough because of expected swelling and bruising, but I followed directions and healed up nicely. Two follow-up visits were included, and I drove down to the Denver area and enjoyed myself after my appointments. I now have much better peripheral vision, and I look great! Highly recommend Dr.McCracken!

Also at the in-person consultation, when I asked about the possibility of doing a midface lift as well as a lower bleph, Dr. McCracken said "well you're not going to be on the cover of Vogue"--I guess he was trying to manage my expectations but it actually really hurt my feelings and stuck with me. I certainly did not express that I wanted to be on the cover of Vogue so it sort of felt like he was calling me ugly.

I am 31 years old and I was very nervous and skeptical that not only I had a skin cancer lesion, but its tricky location on my eyelid made it even scarier. My initial interaction with the staff at Littleton Eyes was awesome. Kelly at the front desk helped me feel more at ease in navigating this procedure, including handling my many phone calls to clarify insurance information and help in planning my same day closure where I had to drive down from Frisco. I had an initial consultation with Dr. Patel to go over the closure, and she paid attention to not only my lesion, but the health of my eyes as well which I loved. She was very kind and assured me that my upcoming procedure would be a breeze. And indeed it was! We came down to Littleton after my MOHS procedure, and Dr. Patel and her staff made sure I was relaxed and at ease. The closure was quick and easy, they sent me home with an eyepatch and an ice pack. Over the next couple weeks post-surgery, I was shocked at how fast my eyelid was healing, and how good it looked! I was definitely concerned with how this would turn out aesthetically, and Dr. Patel absolutely took that into account and did a great job keeping me looking pretty : ) I would definitely recommend Dr. Patel at Littleton Eyes for all things eye-related for people of all ages. Upon arrival, I had to fill out a couple of forms and there was a bit of a wait to start the exam. I eventually saw Dr. Jacobs and he was very friendly. I felt at ease and confident in my final prescription and appreciate him taking his time to answer questions and help. They have plenty of glasses to choose from but I also appreciated that they didn't push them and were fine with me taking my prescription home as I stewed on what exactly I wanted. In addition to the eye exam, they offer a retinal exam for an extra fee which they didn't push but highly encouraged for next time. Overall, I'd be happy to come back here annually for my eye care. Parking is easy to find in the large parking lot shared by King Soopers and the neighboring businesses.

After removing the eye patch the next day my vision was terrible. My pupil was and is permanently dilated due to his error. He told me I had an eye stroke but two other eye doctors said his surgery was incorrect and the stitches were not done right. So now I have unbearable glare every moment of my waking life with no solution. He also tried to double bill me. I would not recommend this doctor

It's hard to believe that someone who has been practicing for almost 30 years could get away with his tactics but then again there are doctors and nurses who have gotten away with intentionally killing patients. This doctor seems to be about money, not harm but then again, he has done harm (inadvertent and unskilled or somewhat intentional, I cannot say for sure). Forced to give 1 star.

The doctor was very attentive and thorough when evaluating my eyes, carefully considering my medical history including medications and quickly determined that (1) I need bi-focals, but also (2) my pupils were over dilated (likely due to medications I take) and letting in to much light, and recommended glasses with transition lenses for driving/bright environments. Sales staff was incredibly nice and attentive, helping me to price a reasonable pair of frames. With my vision insurance the cost was very affordable. Seems like an easy fix and I left feeling immensely better. Very excited to get my new glasses!
