    First: The Dr. himself gets a five star rating. Quick and professional yet not making you feel…read morerushed. Practice gets 4 stars. One visit the person seemed uninterested in checking me in at the front desk. Return visit was a completely different visit and that staff member was at least slightly more pleasant. I recently went for the yearly eye exam and something came up on the Optomap image so I was referred to this practice, being told Dr. Kimura was one of the best eye specialists in Denver. Swank new office building in Golden just off the 6th Ave Freeway near Colorado Mills. I was the youngest patient here at 40 but I suppose most folks don't start to have serious issues with their eyes until they are 60. In any case, the intake assistant was great and friendly. More pictures needed to be taken at the doctor's office and while the person taking the pictures may be the best in Colorado they could be a little more friendly and not so abrupt. Be prepared - you will have your eyes dilated while here as part of the complete exam. Bring sunglasses and either wait it off or try to leave without assistance. Finally I got to see the Doc. Overall friendly and provided information on the diagnosis (it turned out not to be a detached retina). Had to probe the doc a bit for a little more information on what he diagnosed but when probed he was glad to provide the information. Overall a decent doc and a decent experience. If some of the staff showed a little more interest and empathy then it would be a solid 5 star experience. PS - Insurance is beneficial for this visit. I just got my EOB back from Blue Cross Blue Shield and my "new patient" visit without insurance would have been $506. With insurance I only owed $179.44. The appointment-bot will call you one day before your scheduled appointment to remind you, a nice touch.

It has always…read morebeen a 5 star experience from the front desk staff and pleasant waiting room to the staff that does my initial intake and testing for the appointment and then the time with the doctors for more testing and discussion of my status. Both doctors are just tremendously upbeat and I believe genuinely concerned about my eye health. They're actually fun to be around and I feel that I'm getting top expert care, treatment and advice. I've dealt with glaucoma for 40 years and due to moving a lot have had many health care systems and doctors. These two are certainly among the very best of all. Recommend them very highly.

Dr…read more Tetrault was amazing at monitoring and treating my eyes and never once made me feel bad for having "bad eye sight". Thom was amazing at my contact exams and finding me the right fit I enjoyed the office very much. This year, they no longer accept vision insurance and I do not feel like their team was very prepared to assist their patients with this change. I have spoken to finance people multiple times to attempt get records to submit out of network to my vision insurance. The finance lady does not follow up and is rude like she can't be bothered. The new guy in the vision area could give 2 f*cks about you and is happy to tell you "just take your prescription anywhere and have it filled". He can't be bothered. I am so frustrated because I had an exam and my eyes take a long time to adjust back after having them dilated. It's a whole day event that I need transportation from. The team has provided me nothing in terms of codes or exam notes to provide to my insurance for coverage after I continue to ask, So, now, I likely have to have another exam with a new doctor/office in network to get anywhere and finally get contact lenses. What a waste.
