Ultimately they wanted me to pay for a new set of lenses that were $100 more than I had originally paid, and on top of, the initial frame and lenses cost (all with insurance). ***Squeezed me in for an emergency! My family was driving through Colorado to go skiing and I had been experiencing intense eye pain for 16 hours when I gave up and called the nearest eye doctor. They said they would be able to squeeze me in and after a short wait (about 10 min?) I was in a room and Dr. Gowing (and staff) were so kind and professional and HELPFUL! She listened to my symptoms, asked questions, and eventually found the tiniest speck of something which had been causing much pain and a corneal abrasion. From there she prescribed an antibiotic which cost me nothing at the nearest pharmacy and I was finally able to start enjoying my vacation again! Eye exam went well, but two weeks later, I went to pick my new glasses up and they were tinted too dark. The tint was supposed to match my old glasses. So they said they would do them again. So far, this is understandable, no big deal. Two more weeks, and I called them. They said I could pick them up. I said "I'll see you tomorrow." I went there today, and they didn't have them. They weren't sure when they would have them. I asked "If you don't have them, why on earth would tell me they are ready to be picked up?" They had no answer. I live 25 miles away from there. I went home and called them and told them to mail them to me if they ever show up. read more

With an over-focusing issue, I usually am unsure if I'm going to have the best prescription, but now I have no doubt. Dr. Jackson and her team are incredible. Fantastic customer service and an overall great experience. I'd been to another 'vision clinic' in the area and knew I wouldn't be back before I'd even finished my first appointment, not the case here with Table Mountain. I felt like I was the only one who mattered here and Dr. Jackson gave me plenty of options. To be fair there were a couple of upcharges I didn't expect. There was a $65 contact fitting charge and a $25 charge for the digital eye imaging versus the free dilation. Honestly, I'd pay them again for the state of the art technology. It took a few weeks and many different types of contacts before I found a winner. Through it all, I never felt pressured and am pleased with my vision correction. read more

Friendly staff but what i need is someone knows what he/she is doing. I had to contact them 3 times to get my prescription corrected. Which was almost same as my old one. My old one was 175 but she changed it to 176. How convenient right? I really dont care about great customer service. I care about someone who knows what they are doing. read more

I have been going to TMV for 20+ years. However, I recently my experience has led me to decide to never come back. I had an appointment scheduled in early February for an annual exam. Unfortunately, my whole family came down with COVID so as a responsible patron, I called to cancel my appointment. The woman I spoke with let me know that they did not have any appointments until March - which was fine, except that I was completely out of contacts. I had requested that the Dr fill my prescription for one month (i.e., the time I had to wait to get in), which I think is a totally reasonable, common request. Note that my prescription only expired in August of this year. She proceeded to tell me that she could not do anything to help me with this scenario because "the FDA regulates contact lenses and they are a medical device." So essentially, my options in this scenario were to (a) expose the entire office to COVID and get my prescription renewed or (b) go without my contacts for an entire month until they had availability to see me. I have never in my life in a medical scenario been told that I am just out of luck and there's nothing they can do. While the doctors are pretty good, the support staff is completely unreasonable and unhelpful. I was able to do a 10 min eye exam online with 1-800 contacts and get my contacts shipped within 3 days! read more

Friendly staff, but if you want accurate prescription, DON'T GO! I went back 3 times, to try contacts on. Well, the prescription was wrong from the eye exam, why bother trying contacts on with wrong prescription?! So the third time in, I've had enough, and just gave them my old prescription from another place a year or two ago. What I'm wearing isn't perfect, but still MUCH better than her prescription. Apparently 20/15 vision is good enough for her. read more

Wow... I was seriously impressed with this clinic. I've worn contacts or glasses for about twenty years now, and typically try to see ophthalmologists, but after my recent experience at Denver Eye Surgeons I figured I'd try someplace new. I didn't need glasses this time around but did a contact lens exam - I haven't been able to wear contacts for about 10 years, and wasn't able to get a good fit at DES earlier this year - but Dr. Jackson personally saw me at every visit to get me the best fit possible with contacts. It was obvious she has a lot of experience with lens fittings and was very knowledgeable about what to try next. The entire staff is friendly and things run on time there. Now I am comfortably wearing contacts and am very happy about that! I will return here for my regular eye exams. read more

This place is a Golden gem! I have been coming here for years and Dr. Kelley is the best! Wonderful doctor, good support staff, nice frame selection . . . they have it all! And to make good even better for a small additional cost they will use the fancy little camera to take pictures of the inside of your eyes so you can skip getting your eyes dilated (and who wouldn't want to avoid that!) Got some new glasses here a few weeks ago. I was blown away with the quality of customer service here. It took me 3 visits (including the initial appointment) to pick out the frames that I wanted, then a fourth visit for an adjustment. Through it all every staff member was incredibly courteous and willing to do whatever it took to keep me happy. I'd go as far to say that my experience here was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. Their eyeglass frame selection was decent. The office/facility was immaculate. My only beef is that they charge a contact lens fitting fee, around $60. If you're a veteran contact wearer, this is completely unnecessary. However, this seems to be an industry standard, so I'm choosing not to "ding" TMV on it. read more

This was my second year visiting Table Mountain and working with Dr. Peterson. I have found them to be very professional, thorough, and taking the time to explain everything for me. I needed a prescription for eye drops and there were issues and confusion on the part of my health and prescription insurance providers with getting pre-approval. Dr. Peterson went above and beyond helping me with this and made many calls on my behalf to get it resolved. The rest of the staff is also great to work with! read more

If this were just a review on Dr Peterson, I'd give her a 5 or higher. She spent a lot of time with me really trying to find the right combination to address a pretty severe astigmatism that is causing halo effects around letters and words both near and far. When she presented the final solution, blacks were blacker...more crisp. I had no idea my sight had degraded to that point. Even with insurance the price of progressive lenses at this location was a few bucks shy of $300. At Costco, You can get polycarbonate progressive lenses with blue blocker, uv filter, anti glare...the works!...for $150. I'd still go back to Table Mountain Vision. At least with my crappy VSP insurance, I can get $200 (obscenely marked up) frames for $65. read more

Dr. Jackson and her staff are wonderful to work with. The location is in central Golden, just off the main drag and their office is clean and comfortable. I was immediately taken back for my appointment after completing my intake forms. They have this cool imaging machine that takes in depth photographs of your eyes, without needing to involve dilation. (Yay!) The pictures are amazing and are used for early detection of several eye-related (and other) diseases. The examination itself was thorough, quick and completed by well trained professionals. The best part? They are *very* affordable and accepted my eye insurance, EyeMed. I will without a doubt be referring everyone who is in need of a new eye doctor to go to Table Mountain! read more
