Very good. Feel well taken care of in his care. I think he retired so I'll miss him. I wish him well in his retirement.

Dr. Weiss performed cataract surgery on my right eye on January 13th, 2026. Unlike the previous…read moresurgery on my left eye the week before, I noticed the prep was sloppy and rushed. I could feel everything Dr. Weiss was doing to my eye. I moaned and moved around, but was told to stop moving, because the movement was shaking the microscope. It was a very painful experience. Dr. Weiss did not stop to have more anesthesia administered, but kept saying, "I am almost finished, almost finished". One of the receptionists at the surgery center told me that Dr. Weiss does 23 surgeries in one day. I suppose he was in a hurry to get to the next one. When I was being taken out of the prep area at the end of the process, I mentioned to the nurse that I was in pain, and she said, "Take Advil, you will forget about it". I believe that Dr. Weiss broke the vow he took when he became a doctor of "First, do no harm". SHAME ON HIM. I confronted Dr. Weiss on 4 other occasions concerning the pain I suffered and was told that this had never happened before. At one point, he seemed to have forgotten about the incident, saying, "What happened in the surgery?" As if to say he didn't know what I was talking about. Dr. Weiss insisted that I have my eyes refracted about 2 and 1//2 weeks after my last surgery. Eye surgeons whom I have consulted say one should wait a month for refraction. The prescription was incorrect. I went back to see Dr. Martin about redoing the refraction. Dr. Martin is the OD in the Golden office. No effort was made to redo the refraction. Instead, he made a big effort to make sure the door to the exam room was closed and to speak in hushed tones. He immediately started saying that Dr. Weiss had given me the wrong corrective lenses (IOL) and that was causing my vision problems. I was also told I had developed a second cataract. Both Dr. Weiss and Martin told me I could get different IOLs/and/or Lasik to correct my vision, adding on more medical bills. (Again, when I consulted different eye surgeons, the advice was to do neither.) Dr. Martin advised me to see Dr. Kim, a different doctor in the practice, rather than return to his colleague, Dr. Weiss. He continued to say that he didn't like the way Icon Eye Care was being run and seemed to have little confidence in Dr. Weiss or anyone else, except Dr. Kim. I asked him why he continued to work there. He said, "Because of people like you". One wonders how many people like me have surgery done by Dr. Weiss. This practice is exactly that. A practice (I think they need a lot more practice) done by people with, it would appear, no other motive than to do as many surgeries and to make as much money as possible, as quickly as possible, and to badmouth their fellow workers. Their regard for patients is minimal.

I am so impressed. Having been to other facilities this is superior in every way. Amazing staff and…read moreimpressive doctors. This exam was by far the most thorough I have had. The doctors were not rushed and took more care in explaining than I have had prior. I am scheduled for another appointment for a follow up procedure. My comfort level is a 10 on the 10 scale.

Both doctors are just tremendously upbeat and I believe genuinely concerned about my eye health. They're actually fun to be around and I feel that I'm getting top expert care, treatment and advice. I've dealt with glaucoma for 40 years and due to moving a lot have had many health care systems and doctors. These two are certainly among the very best of all. Recommend them very highly.

Thom was amazing at my contact exams and finding me the right fit I enjoyed the office very much. This year, they no longer accept vision insurance and I do not feel like their team was very prepared to assist their patients with this change. I have spoken to finance people multiple times to attempt get records to submit out of network to my vision insurance. The finance lady does not follow up and is rude like she can't be bothered. The new guy in the vision area could give 2 f*cks about you and is happy to tell you "just take your prescription anywhere and have it filled". He can't be bothered. I am so frustrated because I had an exam and my eyes take a long time to adjust back after having them dilated. It's a whole day event that I need transportation from. The team has provided me nothing in terms of codes or exam notes to provide to my insurance for coverage after I continue to ask, So, now, I likely have to have another exam with a new doctor/office in network to get anywhere and finally get contact lenses. What a waste.

I went in for a follow up the day after my surgery as I was in extreme pain, they took me seriously and were able to assess my situation and help get me feeling better. I felt like the surgeon could have been a bit better with aftercare instructions as I wasn't aware who I should call after hours so that did result in a trip to the urgent care/er to get fluids and pain medication as I was so sick after the surgery. That's the only reason I gave them a 4.

Routinely long delays getting physician followup. 2) A complaint was filed with Medical Director about chronic patient support issues from non-M.D. staff, and she too who never responded - which confirms SYSTEMIC management issues at SSOC. Next, a VM was left reiterating to the director the ongoing support concerns. 3) Post surgical followup was weak. Met with a nurse wearing a badge "I'm the mean nurse" When asked about this, she referred to herself as "Nurse Ratchet". Apparently she has a reputation of poor bedside manner, advertises it to the public, and somewhat confirmed it in practice with snarky replies to boring routine questions (#4 below). 4) Prior to this in-person conversation (#3) it was noted that each and every post-surgical question was answered by "Nurse Ratchet" in a short, rapid-fire form answer with what came across as eye-rolling (routine questions that have been answered hundreds of times - the nurse was OVERTLY bored and didn't seem to care that her non-verbal communication OVERTLY communicated her boredom with routine patient questions. She came across as sincerely insincere, just wanting to go home for the day.). 5) The company (staff at specific facility) has consistently shown lack of interest in customer feedback/ improvement. Yet the surgical facility showed great interest (different business, different management, different investors). 6) All staff (admin + nurses) present as if they are too busy moving cattle to provide QUALITY and CONNECTEDNESS. Why is patient throughput so much more important? Profitability seems to be the primary driver of this BUSINESS while patient care is interpreted as secondary based on numerous interactions while begin communicated as paramount. 7) Patient left with feeling they have been abandoned by those that took an oath...left to deal with post surgical issues solo. Huge, life-altering consequences AND uncertainty resulted from interactions with SSOC. 8) On more than one occasion the physician's assistant miscommunication and/or misinterpreted explicit documented information. The PA was referred to documented information as the SOURCE OF TRUTH after having miscommunicated the documented info to the physician, which caused the PA to provide the patient the wrong response to their concern (perhaps from the high patient throughput/overload/short-staffed scenario that lingers at SSOC with profitability being the driver of operational decisions...). 9) The doctor, the director, the physician's assistant, and staff FAILED to followup as promised on the results of a critical test. After 4-5 months it was volunteered by SSOC staff that they failed to followup on the test results. The test results included CRITICAL information. SSOC NEVER followed up with the imaging facility and admitted that when the info showed up months later, they "had no idea what it's for" until it was explained to them by the patient that they dropped the ball on a SERIOUS concern. 10) I was falsely accused by the PA of requesting a prescription that was never once requested. Not once. In conversation the PA indicated they had made an unverified assumption, hence their mistake. The PA did not ask questions, only made assumptions and tried to go forward based on those assumptions in their head. As a result, the PA admitted having miscommunicated the wrong request. It was quite frustrating to keep having to explaining documented/referenceable information already available to the PA. Is the PA too busy to review documented information to ensure it is correctly interpreted? A second misinterpretation of clear, documented information occurred by the PA. Again, the information was documented and referenceable. The PA appears to be overloaded and so keeps making mistakes both interpreting information and communicating it to both doctors and patients. I let the PA know of this concern. The mistakes caused more delay. This means patients had lower quality of life during the additional delay. There was also delay recognizing the additional revenue for SSOC because they failed to fact check. There was delay making progress in the direction we both desire, the direction that creates a win-win for your goals to A) earn profit B) support the needs of other humans. Just a sad chain of subpar experiences from a medical provider...seriously negatively impacting the future....In many ways the effort is appreciated. Thanks. Sadly, with hindsight, I felt like just another cow being moved through the healthcare system, seeking a commodity service from just another provider that overloads their staff, communicates the prime directive as patient care, but then like so many others, provides mediocre service, then their support and interest in your well-being progressively evaporates (until you schedule more low-yielding revenue-generating visits) despite lack of resolution as the
