I purchased a brand new NX 350. I have taken it back 3 to 4 times for a grinding noise. I have ever reached out to Lexus main office. They act like q brand new car off the showroom floor is supposed to make noises when turning the wheel to the right on the drivers side. DON'T BUY HERE!!! If I could give this dealership a 0 star - I would. I am a disabled veteran and contacted them because I found their dealership through my lender (USAA) who partners with TrueCar. TrueCar now has an ongoing investigation with their dealership for deceptive practices and has advised me the owner is not returning their phone call and Heather says she is 'out of it now". Next step is that they get flagged for their deceptive practices and removed from being in partnership with TrueCar....THAT is just HUGE. I THOUGHT, because I employed a trusted service, I would be safe to trust a dealership in helping me to purchase a vehicle and have it delivered to me since I cannot sit or stand for any great length of time. I also have two small toddlers and between the two issues, told them I could not make the 4 hour drive. We did most of our dealings via phone call or text, and they assured me, I was buying a beautiful vehicle that was mechanically sound and has had NO issues. I SPECIFICALLY asked if it had any mechanical issues or the check engine light on - they assured me it didn't and they wouldn't sell a defective vehicle....well that was deceptive. Upon delivery - the running boards to the truck I purchased were swapped out for cheaper and shorter ones...problem number one. I did NOT get the truck as advertised. The bigger problem? The dealership text me just before the truck was to arrive and advised the check engine light was ON...no big deal they said, just have it reset because they needed to fill DEF fluid. The delivery driver advised me he noticed the check engine light was on and that the dash was stating I could not drive over 55 mph. Of course, I get on the phone w the dealer...what to they tell me? That the owner Nike, will call me the next day about the issue by noon and that I bought the truck so there is no returns. SERIOUSLY? I told them I wanted it fixed. I immediately take it to a local and reputable mechanic, he advises me that not only was the DEF fluid NOT filled, it was bad and needed to be completely flushed. Wait, that's not all - The DEF sensors are BAD - here we are now at $1,300 to fix. Wait, STILL not done - the TURBOCHARGER is BAD and needs to be completely replaced. Currently sitting at a $4,200 plus fix...just to get a WORKING and RUNNING vehicle!! Which is what they TOLD me they were selling me. I called them almost daily if not multiple times a day - STILL no return phone call from the owner as promised. I have now had to retain an attorney to file a lawsuit, contacted the local media, filed with the BBB and TrueCar - not to mention reach out to local veterans groups, just to protect other buyers! My husband and I went to look at a Nissan Sentra. It was listed at 6995 (guaranteed 6795 with USAA carbuying app). The major issues were that 2 out of 3 seatbelts in the back seat wouldn't buckle, all 4 tires were bald, the donut was on the wires, the mechanism for locking the gas tank was broken so you couldn't open the gas tank (gas was so low it alerted us on the test drive), and the AC wasn't working. Paul seemed very nice. He mentioned his boss wasn't wanting to fix the seatbelts (a very cheap fix), but he got him to agree to fix the seatbelts, the tires, the ac, and provide a useable donut. But the lowest he could go was 6995, which was the listed price for the car. Reminder the guaranteed USAA carbuying app price was 6795. This is the "BIGGEST...LYING CON DEALEARSHIP" on the South East side of town in Columbia SC. "Paul" is the Leader and Biggest Con Artist in S.C.... BUYER BEWARE...Check out the South Caroling Lemon Law's as it pertains to "USED VEHICLES" or you will get stuck terribly with the CON GAME. They apparently buy these cars from auctions, or previous Re-Po's. The First part of the Con is where "Paul" and his Cronies will tell you once they secure financing..."You will get a call from the Financing Institution BUT ...you must "Lie" (Paul actually coached me as to what to say) and tell them you have put down for example, $1000.00 and of course they list that on the paperwork, in an effort to make it look good....knowing the cars are "AS IS" and of course once you sign their BS paperwork....will sink you into outrages interest rates and before you realize it, you have just purchased a LEMON AND/OR VEHICLE WITH MANY ISSUES. The key is to get your vehicle checked out "BEFORE" you get the call within the FIRST 24-48 HOURS of SIGNING....this way, when the Finance Company Calls to confirm....you can tell them you are returning the vehicle...No Deal. I think the Lemon Laws for "Used Vehicles in SC in 24 - 48 hours after purchase to return the Lemons back to them, thus canceling the contract. Don't forget to tell them how you were ask to LIE about the Down Payment. Another "BIG CON", is they will have everyone to bring their cars back to fix what all is wrong with them, and will actually have the nerve to have 10 people waiting for a Mechanic they use to drop by in the evening, knowing this "one" Mechanic will not, and can care less if they get to your vehicle or not.
