Our Samsung refrigerator kept icing over the icemaker, so I called Samsung for warranty repair. They approved the request and passed the work to Unique Repair services, who were prompt in scheduling an appointment and even enabled scheduling through text messaging. While initially Unique did have to Cancel my appointment due to lack of available parts (understandable due to Covid and supply chain issues), they promptly rescheduled my appointment for one week later when the necessary parts would be in stock. Herbert, the repair technician, came today wearing a mask, with a great attitude and an excellent skill set. He explained to me not only what the problem was, but how he was going to fix it and even taught me a few things about my refrigerator that I didn't know! I now have a working icemaker, and more importantly have met a person who truly cares about other people, his community and doing amazing work. I hope Unique repair services can clone Herbert so that every customer has an experience as good as mine. I have seen the other reviews here, and was very hesitant at first, but I also understand that positive reviews are hard to come by when responding to issues of broken appliances. I recommend asking for Herbert, you won't be disappointed! read more

Would have given 0 stars if I could. They are the repair company included with my manufacturer's warranty. Cancelled appointments, and multiple times they have left me waiting for 4 weeks+ to have something repaired waiting on a part... turns out the part wasn't even needed. Terrible experience. read more

There schedulers are horrible. They provide Lowe's service with a date for our repair, then provided us with different date 5 days later. Unique then wanted to reschedule that appointment. I ended up calling Lowe's service back and forcing them to shift our vendor. Seriously who is willing to wait 2 weeks to get their dishwasher repaired? Zero urgency or customer service quality. I suspect they are playing scheduling games with Lowe's to meet their SLA requirement to Lowe's but then rescheduling on the back end with the customer for a date farther out. read more

Called Electrolux for a repair. They scheduled an appointment with these people. I get confirmation date of Wednesday for Friday. Thursday evening I get a text your appointment cancelled for Friday?? I text them back and they reschedule for Monday. Late Friday night I get text that Monday appointment cancelled because they have no repair techs? I ask them for a time that works no response. Very shady. Terrible I would give zero if I could. read more

The repair man showed up on time, but their prices are overpriced compared to just buying new equipment. The work would have taken ten minutes at most but the want to charge over 300 dollars. would not recommend this company and would never use them again. read more

They never showed up for the repair and when I called they said they we called and canceled but when they were called out in the lie they said they're technician canceled because they can't get to it. I used two days of vacation to be home for them to not even call me the day before to cancel. Now I'm almost over my warranty and I won't be able to get the repair covered. Never again with these guys. Don't use them read more

NEVER would I recommend this company!! Samsung sent a repair man to my home from this company after reporting our ice maker had stopped working. He had been sent to our home to replace the ice maker Samsung knew to be faulty. We rescheduled twice to confirm the new ice maker was actually in his hands. The repair guy caused more damage then he came here to fix!! Then he blamed us for using a "hair dryer" on the ice maker causing the damage. (On an already known to be faulty ice maker!) Does the picture below look like a hair dryer caused the crack circled in red or does it look like someone tried to improperly remove a screw? (All after banging and chipping away built up ice.) Funny the crack was not there prior to the repair man arriving to our home. The cracked wall now will not allow for the ice maker to be replaced at all!! Then to top it off, as he was packing to leave he lied to us stating Samsung was sending a new refrigerator free of charge due to a defective ice maker.... knowing all along he told Samsung WE broke this ice maker using a "hair dryer" on it when it iced over!! I wish this company never entered our home!! read more

Unique Repair Services - See rev - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Wayne, Michigan

Absolutely awful!!! Do not use their service. You will waste your money to not fix your appliances

The service people from the Wayne, Mich. location have been fantastic. The management team at the corporate office in Chicago, yeah, not so much. Been waiting for a call from the manager for 2 days. She apparently doesn't care about customers. If it weren't for the actual service techs being so good, I would find someone else to do my repairs. But the manager in Chicago, she is HORRIBLE. read more

Extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. I had an appointment between 7am-8am they were a no show. Had the nerve to call me a 9:30am saying they were at my door. Smh, then didn't even finish the job. Wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy. read more

I can't attest to their actual work as it's too difficult thus far to even get to that point. Initially, Lowe's scheduled an appoitment for me with them on the 11th. After some confirming, all seemed well until a few days prior, I received a text from a number that I couldn't respond to that said my appointment was for the 14th...the only day that week I could not get home in time. Then, they scheduled it for the 15th. I was able to take a vaction day for the 15th (unlike the 14th). On the later afternoon of the 14th, I was informed that they were canceling my appoitment for the next day as parts they ordered had not come in yet. So, a reschedule for the 21st with Lowe's involved AND me following up with their dispatcher. After making sure I'd be last on the schedule, and after 3:45PM, I got a text on the previous business day in the late afternoon saying they would be out between 1PM and 3PM. Day of, I get a call a little after 11AM saying they were on their way. When talking with the repair person before he arrived, he said that he didn't have the parts needed and would have to order them. (Apparently having to order again and reschedule for the 4th time). read more

If I could give a zero rating I would. This is my first time ever writing a review. This place is so awful that I have to say something. I purchased a Samsung Washer and Dryer from Home Depot a few months ago. The Dryer did not work at all from day 1. I contacted Samsung and they sent Unique Repair out to fix the dryer. I was told the part needed for the Dryer had to be ordered and it would be in, in a week. On the day of the next appointment I was called and told the repair guy called in sick and they needed to reschedule my appt. So I was rescheduled for the next week between the hours of 1 - 2 pm. So my appt was set for today 05/27. I received a text message last evening saying the tech would be out 05/27 between 8 and 9 am. So I had a few hours to change my schedule around because they changed the time on me without me knowing. This morning I received a text stating the technician was on his way. 5 minutes later the technician called (he was very nice), stating he didn't have my part in his truck. The part hadn't come in yet, but he would expedite the process and have the part in on Tuesday 6/2. Now I have to find someone who can be here at my home on Tuesday or take off of work. I've already changed my work schedule around so that I could be here for the previous 2 appts . So obviously they were bullsh***ing me around because they never had the part. I need another appliance repaired and I was going to see if Unique could take a look at it, but after today, I will find another repair company. I will never purchase another Samsung product again, just so I wont have to deal with this company again. I just want my Dryer repaired. I've been paying for a Dryer that never worked from the time it was taken out of the box. Somehow, I have a feeling that the part wont be in on Tuesday either. read more
