However our experience was incredible. They were professional, knowledgeable, very kind and respectful. I thought perhaps they are new and I'd have to tell them where the vents were but they knew exactly where they were, that's when I found this company had been in business for 23 years. They had the best price out of all the companies we looked at and yet they treated it like a premium price which was awesome. We are hiring them again to clean our carpets and chairs. Our house included 2 bedrooms, 1 hallway, 2 stairs, and a basement for $300. We had a pet stain and marks in the carpet from our furniture. They said they could get out the pet stain and the carpet marks. The stain was gone, but the marks in the carpet from the beds and dresser remained. I didn't see the carpets before they left because they told me my feet would leave behind prints on the wet carpets. Normally, I would call and bring them back to correct, but we had photos scheduled at the house the next morning. They also told me it would take 2 hours, but were there for around 40 minutes. They raised through and didn't do the best job.

I was told they did the location, which was not too far from the previous location. DUSTOUT was a small company of 3 or 4 people, including the owner when I had my parents' ducts cleaned, and there was no answering service back in January. In fact, I spoke with the owner himself, who was helpful and knowledgable. In that they were a small company, I wanted to help them by making a point to give them a good review for good service. Fast forward to now, they have a whole answering service apparatus with a phone tree. Everyone loves an answering service with a phone tree! /s So I left a message with the details of the new job. They said they would call back. They didn't. I called *three more times* over the space of a week. I emailed the owner. Nothing. Crickets. I asked if they had new ownership and they said, "no". I asked for an estimate like last time, and now they tell me that they don't give estimates before they arrive. Now, one is supposed to allow them to come and they will tell you how much the job is after they arrive to do the job. (?) Who would agree to that? Not sure what to believe about DUSTOUT now. I have *still* not received a call back. I have not received an email back. So I hired another small company. I'll keep you guys posted on the job he does. I guess DUSTOUT used to be great, but I have no idea what is going on at this company now. I guess I'd say avoid DUSTOUT until they can get their act together. ***CERTIFICATION: They are no longer listed at the NADCA website as being "NADCA certified air duct cleaners" as of 3/23/26. He was very fair with his pricing and gave a friendly introduction about his history in the business. That had me sold. I found Dave's Heating and Cooling online, they had good reviews and so I made an appointment. They sent out a young man named Gavin. He was polite, friendly and knowledgeable and was 15 minutes early! He did a full examination of the cooling system that took well over ann hour, including sending videos to my phone of his findings. Called and was told that I can bring the rugs to the store in Oak Park or the truck will come to my home and pick them up. I opted for the truck coming to my house to get them all. If you drop them off at the store they gave a discount. Be prepared to wait though! Lots of waiting for a phone call for them to update you on the progress of your rugs. I think overall from my first phone call to the rugs being re-delivered took over a month. Their communication was pretty good - they called to let know the status of my rugs and if I wanted certain extras like a stain resistant coat. The guys who came to get our rugs were professional and quick. They took 4 big area rugs and a hall runner. They never told you a price until the guys put all of your rugs back where they go in your home. So I wish they were more upfront about the price. The price was worth it based on how clean my rugs looked - they all looked new. All the stains and marks were gone! The guys who came to put the rugs back were patient with me trying to remember how the rugs were laid. Pro tip to take pictures of how your rugs were laid before they take them. They also would move my furniture so my husband and I could shuffle the rugs back in place.
