Got the service scheduled for three days out, and received an immediate confirmation, as well as a day-before confirmation that included a photo of the technician. Received a text from the technician when he was on his way. Upon his inspection of the dryer, he determined he would need to order a new part, but said he would be able to get back to install it by the end of the day. Turned out even better than that--he was back in a couple of hours, telling me he decided it would be quicker to swing back to my place then instead of after his next stop, as he'd planned. After the new part was in, everything was fine. The repair wasn't cheap--replacing a circuit board won't be in any circumstances--but the repair went smoothly and the dryer is now working fine.

Mary is a JEWEL! 100 STARS! She gave me the ONLY in-person conversation I have had in trying to…read morefind someone to repair my not too old Maytag washer. Most other websites are haunted by vacancy, botz and nothing there. Not only did she give me good advice, but she answered the phone long after the working day was over. She was unable to help me and admitted so. Others wanted to come to my house, charge a fee, and then figure out what I needed without ever talking to me directly. I could have spent the amount of a new washer without ever figuring out what the problem is. TO YELP: YOUR LIST IS NOT UP TO DATE. About half of listings are not in my area and out of business. Mary- you saved us from making a costly mistake! Called in…read moreafter getting the run-around with a repairman assigned to us through our "home warranty" program about our broken fridge. She listened to our problems and advised me to just quit while I'm at it with our Samsung clunker. So instead of preying on a potential (and very vulnerable) customer by sending out a tech for numerous issues, she was honest and just told me to go out and buy a new one. Since we purchased our home, we've run into multiple bad contractors and dishonest repairmen. I'm relieved to have found a company that values its customer base like this one. Will be going to Mary's for all future appliance needs!

His quote was fairly expensive ($690), when he said he's done the work, he pushed hard for the a right away payment. The worst thing was when we found out he didn't finish the repairment work (the ice maker was not working, and he was told about the icemaker issue when he started the job). When we found out this and told him, he refused to finish the work. We are going to the court with him. We are upset about Yelp to recommend this service to us. So, be careful about the Yelp recommendation, and try avoid this Steve's Appliance Repair service as much as possible.

Excellent service and very thorough work…read more I had an excellent experience with this company. They were professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough from start to finish. Before doing any work, they measured the airflow from my dryer and showed me the results. They then diagnosed the entire dryer vent system, starting in the laundry room, checking the run through the attic, and inspecting the exit at the roof. They determined that the problem was a clogged dryer vent at the roof exit. They explained my options for replacing the vent, and I decided to have them take care of the replacement. After the work was completed, they measured the airflow again, and the airflow had essentially doubled. It was great to have an actual before-and-after measurement showing that the work solved the problem. They also came prepared with the proper equipment, including the ladders needed to safely access the roof and booties to keep from making a mess in the house and attic. That attention to detail really stood out. I originally contacted them about having my dryer duct cleaned, but after diagnosing the system, they explained that duct cleaning wasn't actually the problem. We also discussed some of the other services they offer, but there was absolutely no pressure or attempt to upsell me on services I didn't need. The price was reasonable, the work was done correctly, and they clearly knew what they were doing. I would highly recommend this company to anyone having dryer vent or airflow problems. It's refreshing to deal with a company that actually diagnoses the problem rather than simply selling you the service you originally called about.

Overall, a very frustrating experience.

This man violated our sense of safety and went through the entire 1st floor of our home opening up doors, cabinets and creeped around every room. I called to report it to AAA Service Network and was apologized to profusely that another incident has happened with him. When questioning the wording of "another incident" I was told that Brian has had numerous complaints over the years (he's an employee of 18yrs) of what they called "odd" behavior. And then was told he's an odd character but they think he's harmless. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! This man stole my sense of security in my home in a matter of minutes. To hear that this is not the first incident or complaint of this nature is beyond disturbing!
