Wish I could go less than 1 star? We have Samsung three door refrigerator that is out of warranty by a year. Cooling issue & also found out about class action suit for ice maker. Was told by Samsung to contact Unique Repair service. Unique is a Horrible company to deal with. I have been trying to get repair done since June 30th! First tech was given incorrect model of refrigerator. Don't know who made the error so let it go. July 9 second tech showed up. Before he opened our unit he stated he didn't have all the parts to fix it. This tech claims ice maker can be fixed due to recall but doesn't have all the parts to fix issue of not cooling. Why wasn't all the parts ordered???? This tech added parts to original service repair request with totally DIFFERENT pricing than first rep! When I questioned it he stated Oh I can change it. Beware of their pricing if that can be done! Same day July 9th Spoke to Nancy who is suppose to be office Mgr. Appt now set for Wed July 21. Told her due to price please omit gasket on door for now. Don't need gasket for it to cool. Plus there is nothing wrong with the gasket. Didn't seem to be a problem to omit. Monday July 19th receive call to move our appt up to Tuesday July 20 from 2-4 PM. Here we are Tuesday July 20 at 1;30 PM receiving a call stating that all parts are not in. I asked which part is missing. Told it is the gasket that is missing. I stated don't need gasket for unit to cool. Was told yes gasket is needed for repair. This company or its service reps are a joke! How Samsung can refer to them is beyond me. Unique Repair Services works for Samsung - makers of the most defective refrigerators since 2006. In spite of class action lawsuits, Samsung takes no responsibility for their defective designs. Samsung sent out Unique to evaluate my 3 yo refrigerator that has been leaking inside due to the back wall which freezes up - a known defect. Unique came out and looked at it and said they could not service it or honor the warranty. They said two holes had been drilled into the back under the evaporation panel by a Sears service guy who looked at it last week - who did a visual inspection, called Samsung and they said it was "unrepairable." The Sears rep never removed the evaporation panel, he never even took out a screwdriver. He was gone in 10 minutes. He did not damage the refrigerator - and he certainly had nothing to do with a leak that has been going on for months. The Unique rep wrote in the repair ticket that Sears had damaged it with the holes when he removed the back wall cover. We told him right there in the kitchen Sears didn't remove the back cover. If their were holes, it came that way from Best Buy. He said, "oh I must have misheard you" and ran away. I called Unique before he left the driveway and said the ticket was wrong. They refuse to change it. Now I have a "damaged" refrigerator instead of a defective one. Which means no warranty. It's a scam and it's fraud. Unreliable and over charged. Parts never ordered, tech showing up without the never ordered part... making that nothing but a waste of time. Rescheduled multiple times, taking time off work multiple times bc of this. One scheduled appointment was cancelled and I didn't know until I received a text after the scheduled time frame that the tech called in sick. Ironically it was same day as st patty's day and March madness.... The initial diagnosis was wrong making this drawn out for over 2 weeks without a washer and just one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Initial quote of part was wrong, but I agreed to the higher price understanding things happen. I was told labor would be waived.... It was not and I was told nothing they can do about that. Several times I never received a call back when told I would. I was also advised to use social media and bad mouth the manufacturer so I'd receive compensation of approx $40 for an inconvenience to use a laundry mat. Not something I'd do as it's just wrong on all accounts. Additionally it wasn't the manufacturer, it was unique repair services. Unfortunately a negative rating is not possible. STAY AWAY!!! A "technician" (Daniel) came out to fix my right burner of my stove, unplugged everything and while unplugging the harnesses he abruptly removed the plug for my pcb (the screen of the stove) and broke it. Once I confronted him about it he told me there is nothing he can do about it, then I kindly asked him to wait outside to speak to a manager and asked for a managers number, he gave me a wrong number and I had to call their customer service team to ask for a manager. I spoke to Avani and she was telling me that all their managers were in a meeting and that no one could speak to me and she hang up the phone and i called back and another lady picked up and told me that Avani went to lunch in the middle of a call... While I was on the phone I asked the technician Daniel to wait outside and after 2-3 minutes of waiting he left without saying anything to me. After a week and a half of trying to reach both of the managers Mike with extension 114 and Denisse Aguilar extension 123. After leaving them numeral voicemails asking them to call me they kept ignoring me and after so long i received a call from Denisse while I was in a meeting and called her 10 minutes after and of course she did not pick up. I finally got a call from a customer service rep telling me they were gonna come fix the thing they broke and they told me Monday at noon they would be here. They never showed up and I called them on Tuesday and they told me Denisse had canceled my appointment without any warnings and I lost another day from work. I was finally able to talk to Denisse after a while and the only thing she had to tell me is that we discussed this issue with our technician and it is not our fault your pcb of your over broke and it was a coincidence that it broke the day they came to fix the burner that has to do nothing with it. I asked her to speak to someone above a manager and she refused to give the contact information and proceeded to tell me it was not their fault PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THESE THIEFS!!!! Unique repair services attempted repair on my microwave and after three different attempts failed to adequately fix it while still under its 90 day warrantee. When I called them the (fourth time )to inform them of this ongoing problem they now want more money upfront for any further work that they might have to do. I'd leave a lower review but one star is it. The first service tech I had was very friendly but they misdiagnosed my refrigerator issue as a bad defrost vendor. End up paying $500 for repairs to have the same issues in a week. They send out another tech who defrosts the fridge and claims now issue and leaves. A week later again I'm calling to schedule service for the same issue. They send the second tech again who the says it is a known issue with LG fridges and wants me to spend another $250 in parts. At this point I'd be $750 into an old fridge and could just as well have bought new. They refuse to acknowledge the misdiagnosis and have not been willing to engage in a solution to the the issue. They called me when I was at work and asked for my appliance's serial number, I didn't have it so they said "no problem, call us back so we can have it entered so that the repairman has all the parts." I called two times - left messages with the S/N on both the main line voice mail and the customer service department voice mail. I also emailed them via their website form. No call-backs, no replies. Marcin didn't have all of the parts because...you guessed it, the serial number was not on the work order. So I had to schedule ANOTHER appointment. These guys are awful. They do in warranty services for Samsung and my experience with them was abysmally awful. Not only did they cancel on me twice the morning of the scheduled service with an automated call stating theyd need to reschedule for another day and then proceed to show up the day of the original appointment only 3 hours late, but they also have 0 idea what they even sell. The first time they came, the technician told me they'd need to come back another day with another person to unstack my washer and dryer (understandable, as they apparently expect them to be unstacked and ready, which i wasn't aware of) and that i should expect for a call no more than 12hrs later to reschedule and quoted me like $75 for unstacking the units. They never emailed or called (and then tried pretending maybe my email just blocked theirs) so i had to schedule a new appointment and wait about two weeks - i specifically requested that they noted that the units needed to be unstacked and to please make sure they had the correct number of technicians sent to service this, and confirmed with 3 different customer service reps prior to the appt date. When the day came, the same technician again arrived alone and said he "hadn't noticed that my request included unstacking and that he'd have to check whether they'd need to reschedule", then spent 15min on his phone with his manager to be told that the service he and other3 customer service reps had quoted me (and scheduled) was in fact no longer offered. read more

Our washer is a few weeks old and wouldn't drain, so Electrolux sent this company technician. We had to wait a few days for service. Inconvenient, but we waited. He came today. one hour early (7:00 AM), not a problem if you let me know ahead of time! (I was in pajamas!) 2. When he learned we had washed a rug, he immediately accused us of doing something wrong. He called Electrolux because he couldn't get the washer to drain. Then he told them we washed an "industrial" rug. It was a lie. We have washed a rug. The same rug we have washed many times before. We don't own an industrial rug! He told us the manual says no rugs - I just searched the entire manual - It does mention rugs and suggests you need to make sure the load is balanced. Nothing prohibiting or warning against washing them! 3. He left and told us we'd have to call Electrolux. When we called them, they said to have him come back and that we shouldn't have washed an "industrial rug". We said we didn't. They said, well the technician reported that you did. WTF? They also asked us to call the service company back to reschedule them for Monday, when they would come back, remove the washer and drain it outside. 4. When we called to reschedule, they insisted we had to give them pre-payment for the service call on Monday. It was several hundred dollars. We just want the washer to work, so we "pre-paid". 5. Then after discussing it, and getting more and more angry about the lies, we decided to cancel and find a company with better and less accusatory service people 6. When we called to cancel, the person was rude, and actually hung up on us when we wanted to talk to someone with authority. 7. When we called again, they said that the payment could not be refunded, since it was not a "pre-payment, but was a payment for the service call today. They claimed to be charging us for draining the machine! We mentioned that they had collected the card to pay for the Monday service call. She said no refunds as it was for draining the washer today! (the washer is still not drained and won't drain!) 8. This company is a scam. They don't care about customers, have poor customer service and are likely a low-cost solution for Electrolux warranty work. Service advisor came out, said my brand new Samsung washer (that has only been used twice) had either a bad electrical panel or wire assembly. Tech said he would come out the next day to fix it but only brought one part and needed to schedule a 3rd appointment since that part did not work. I told them that it was unacceptable and I had been without a washer for 12 days even though my washer was less than 30 days old. I tried speaking with Denise, the manager, and I was told by her staff she would call me back when she finished up the call she was on but she never called back. I called Samsung and my Samsung rep called Unique Repair for me and said they were so rude that she would recommend Samsung no longer use Unique Repair. Update: If you need repair services stop and call "Fix It Guy Chicago Appliance Repair". To make matters worse with these guys, I found out that they never ran an actual diagnostics test on my machine meaning that $110 service call was for absolutely nothing. Once I had the next company come out (which was a great experience) they showed me that in order to run the test you would have to pop the top cover off the washing machine and connect the tablet device to the wiring. During the service call with unique repair he would have never been able to get at it because he didn't attempt to take the washer out of the closet, and there was a dryer in top. Further, I ordered the three parts he thought it could potentially be after his "diagnostics test" which totaled about $400. When I finally called the next company and they were able to diagnose the real issue, none of those parts were necessary for a repair. Fix It Guy Chicago has incredibly helpful technicians that actually know what they are doing. The same guy came out to my house twice and was extremely knowledgeable. He even offered to come out a third time to help me get everything back into the laundry closet after we got it running. This repair service was one of the three places I was given referral to by Frigidaire. My dryer needs attention, squealing and squeeking like a little piglet. So I called this service to try to set up an appointment for a technician. While on hold (8 mins total), I started reading the reviews on Yelp, they are not very good at all. Once the lady picked up with an attitude, she immediately told me that whether or not they service my dryer, there's a $109 fee for a tech to come out. But that amount will be deducted from the total service fee if I choose to get it fixed. I asked what if they can't fix the problem, what happens to the $109? She said then that's the total fee to inspect your appliance . Cool answer. I then said I'll call another repair place to compare. She said "ok" then hung up! Cool service. Way to represent lady! After a tech support phone call, the on-site technician said he needed to replace a handful of parts and that they were covered under warranty per the conversation which is documented in our service report. The replacement parts did not resolve the issue and the unit was condemned because the problem could not be identified or corrected. We were refunded our purchase price from Samsung. Now 8 months later URS is attempting to collect payment for the replacement parts claiming Samsung did not cover them. I filed a complaint with the BBB. But when delivered the delivery people was in a hurry didn't put lower freezer door in correct, therefore instead of returning the refrigerator, I called Samsung, they recommend Unique Repairs. This a shady company. Their customer service over the phone is extremely rude. I scheduled an appointment over the phone, they said they would call me back with further instructions. They never called us back and they did not honor the appointment we had. The representative by the name of 'Janice' was rude. I asked for a manager and she refused to transfer me. When the technician finally came on a different day, he was obviously inexperienced and not professionally trained to work with Samsung Refrigerators. They wanted to charge us $600 to add freon and a part that cost $70. This would not fix the problem and he knew that. I challenged them on their diagnosis and became hostile and threatened to charge me $150.00 more. He said our original receipt from Sears was NOT valid. He also explained that if it did not solve the problem, that next time a seal leak specialist would come and tell me what I already knew. We were having a dishwasher issue where it would not complete a washing - cycle and give us an error code. We called this company and they sent a tech to our home. Very nice guy who told us that are dishwasher was draining fine and that it was just a circuit board issue. He told us that we just needed to hit a few buttons and it will complete the washing cycle. He gave us the circuit board number, Part #DD92-00059F. He said we could purchase this item and watch a youtube video to install it ourselves which would save us money. I was like great. Thank you. However, the dishwasher gave me the error code again. I did what the tech said and nothing changed. My wife bought a wire camera and found something inside the dishwasher. She removed it and it worked just fine. We call Unique repair services on Dec 8 to tell them the tech misdiagnosed the issue and didn't fix our problem. We wanted a refund and they said they would investigate the matter and get back to us. I had to call today Dec 15 to speak with Denise and she said a Tech was sent out and the problem was diagnosed. I explained the tech told us the circuit board was the issue and it was not. She said how do we know that was not the issue. Well I explained to her that the circuit board is not available to purchase so how would we have a new circuit board in there. She said the dishwasher was a year and half old. How does a part no longer exist. I explained I know right. That is why we bought a wire camera. I am fairly certain a tech could see if there was new board or not. I asked Denise did she look the circuit board up to see if it is available to purchase and she said no. Then I said how do you know it doesn't exist. Clearly the problem was misdiagnosed. I do not recommend this service to anyone at all. They don't know what they are doing. They are a shady company . I would never recommend this company to anyone.
