I've been using Unique repair services because I have a warranty through Frigidaire. Although my service required a couple of visits, I really appreciated the fact that my technician Jose got to the bottom of the issue. I was having so that my icemaker could work. I appreciate the ladies in the office for always being willing to work with my rescheduling because I'm not really available during the day after a couple of missed visits my technician Jose went above and beyond and came to see me on Saturday to fix the problem, which I really appreciate it. I will probably still continue to use them regardless of my warranty because they've been such a big help compared to other technicians. UNTRUSTWORTHY -- WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. If I could give zero stars, I would. During a fridge repair, the technician left visible scratches on my newly installed hardwood floors. The scratches match the exact path where the fridge was moved. I documented everything and sent clear photos to the company. Instead of taking responsibility, the company initially stopped responding. When they did reply, they dismissed the damage and sent photos that did not reflect the condition of my floors before the service. Despite the evidence I provided, they refused to address the issue. I had a terrible experience with Unique Repair. I reached out on August 6th to service my Samsung dryer and scheduling the appointment was a nightmare. I was very clear that the dryer needed a specific part and even provided them with the exact part number. I followed up the next day to confirm they had it. On August 8th, the technician arrived and confirmed that although he saw the part request, the shop never provided the part. I had already taken a day off work to accommodate this appointment. When I called, the service with Liz was absolutely atrocious--she showed no care for my time and eventually hung up on me. When I called back, another rep tried to help, but later I was informed that the soonest they could service my dryer would be 8/31--three weeks later. After contacting Samsung, I learned the part was obsolete, so I ended up having to purchase a brand new dryer. When I called Unique Repair to cancel, they refused to refund the service fee because, according to them, the technician had "diagnosed" the dryer. That's false--I'm the one who provided the part number and explained the issue. This is absolutely terrible customer service. I wasted time, money, and energy for nothing. I had previously used their services because my Samsung had parts still under warranty. Recently, I contacted them to service my dad's Samsung refrigerator, which wasn't covered by warranty. A refrigerator is under a year old and went out so LG have these idiots come out with the wrong part because they didn't even bother to come out and look at the fridge first to see what was wrong with it. So now we are going on over five weeks and still waiting for our fridge to be fixed. We had an appointment for tomorrow and now they called and said we have to wait until the 30th because they didn't have a service person in the area. Our new range was making a noise. When making the appointment Unique Repair requested pictures to understand the issue before arriving. The night before I was given a 4 hour window and provided a picture of the repair tech. I was called and received a text when the tech was on his way. Ryan W was professional and courteous. If this review was solely about the repair technician (Paul S.), it would be 5 stars, because he was prompt, professional, and he knew what he was talking about. Unique Repair Services (URS) should be thankful to have him on staff, as he is the only reason this review is not 1 star. The oven on our Samsung stove has not been igniting and there's an error code that doesn't match any of the dozen online forums I had been researching for weeks. After talking to Samsung customer service 2 times, we were referred to URS. It took a few days, but URS sent me a text message asking me to call them to set up an appointment. The person on the phone seemed professional and polite, but what struck me as terrible was the immediate $119 diagnostic fee UP FRONT. Well, I don't have a working oven, so I guess I was at the mercy of the company. Big mistake, because after scheduling a Monday appointment on the previous Thursday, no one showed up. No one called or communicated that they wouldn't be able to make it, so we wasted time sitting at home expecting a visit. In the afternoon, I called URS and they said they could come in Tuesday during the same window and guess what... they missed it again! We called Wednesday and set up an appointment for Friday, not holding our breath. Thankfully, Paul came when scheduled and after initial inspection he skillfully removed the back panel to do more detailed diagnostics. He found some dead connections on the PCB unit and walked us through options and gave us a quote. Throughout the whole experience, he explained everything he was doing and what he thought could be the issue. He quoted us for the part and labor and it seemed reasonable, but we just needed some time to decide if we were going to spend the extra ~$390 for the fix or just get a new stove for double the price. I guess we have 30 days to decide and it won't cost an additional $119 fee if we go with the repair. Based on the reviews on Yelp, I consider us lucky because we worked with Paul, but I can't recommend this business fully, because it seems like he's an exception to the norm. What I can recommend is that if you do go with URS, you ask to work with Paul. He'll be straight forward with you and take care of you... if you can get through the administrative hold-ups. read more

Our Samsung refrigerator was not working properly, as only the bottom selves of the refrigerator and the freezer would be cold. We were told by Samsung that we need to work with this company to determine what the specific issue was. The original call was pleasant. We had to pay $139 for them to come out and they would determine what the issue was and we could go from there. The tech, Ray M, came out and while he noticed the refrigerator was not working properly, stated that the machine was not giving any error codes so he had to call in to Samsung. He said that Samsung said it could be two issues, the control board of the cooling fan, but he could not tell us specifically what it was. Which is the first problem, because if you are paying to find out what is wrong with your machine, specifics matter. The tech then told my husband that replacing both parts would be approx.. $900.00, but he didn't know which one was causing the issue. He told my husband to think about it and let him know if he wanted to get the fan done or the control board. After looking into it and doing research, we felt like going with getting the fan fixed would be our best course of action because that was identified for other sources as the most common issue with Samsung refrigerators. So we called in today to learn how much it would be to just have the fan done. We were told that we COULD NOT have just the fan done. That the tech indicated in his estimate that both needed to be done. I explained that was not what were were told and that we would just like to know what the estimate for the fan was. The representative intentionally would not give me the price. Instead, she told me that the estimate was provided, which it was not provided in writing, and it was not itemized when the tech told my husband that it would be $900.00 for both. I asked the representative directly for the itemized cost and she did not give me the cost. I stated, "Oh, I see you are looking at the estimate, but you will not give me the cost." She replied, "No, we can look at it together." I informed her that I was not at home and could not check my email to see if we even had an estimate. At the point I just ended the call. I checked with my husband to see if we ever received an email of the estimate and he stated no. So, no written estimate was provided, the service to determine what was wrong with the refrigerator never yielded a specific cause, the tech told us one thing, but reported something different to the company, and we paid $139 for no answers, but a rude representative. Unique Service Repair has provided the most useless and incompetent service I have ever experienced. I've had five appointments over six weeks for a brand new refrigerator that stopped working. Despite replacing parts, the problem was never fixed. At the last appointment, the so-called technician opened the fridge, stared at it, said "it needs to be repaired", and walked out -- as if the previous four visits and all the wasted time meant nothing. This level of stupidity and carelessness is shocking. We've been left without a working refrigerator for six weeks, and Unique Service Repair has done nothing but waste our time. We were in a pressure situation, so called Unique Repair without doing any research. I regret that. They were friendly and helpful on the initial phone call and we had someone come out to our condo unit to fix a dishwasher. There was a flat fee of $119 to have him come out---which makes sense. He came out and assessed it and determined he needed to order a part. So far, so good. The problems came up later as we tried to schedule a return visit--and when he came, he admitted that he had brought the wrong part. Now, it would be 2 weeks later to get a third visit with the repair finalized. The big issue for me is that the final cost of this repair was $584.88. A new dishwasher of the same model is $349!! The labor charge was $265.90 for a simple replacement of the control switch--which means we were paying for his wasted time. Why a repair company would knowingly put together a repair charge for almost DOUBLE what I could spend on a new dishwasher is very frustrating. I have been waiting for a repair on my LG refrigerator. It's under manufacture warranty. It has been 7week since the initial call . When a technician finally came out with the wrong parts because they guessed at what was wrong. They then need to ordered the right parts. They gave me a 4 day wait. Then they rescheduled again because they hadn't received parts. After the rescheduled they messaged me that the part were in. They then sent me a message asking if I was available for the service call. Which I replied yes. Then they call me saying I would have to wait another two weeks because they didn't have a technician available. When I expressed frustration the caller hung up on me. They were sent here to fix a Samsung ice maker KNOWN ISSUE, instead they fed them a bunch of lies apparently about our fridge claiming that the "doors aren't installed correctly" and also that the "fridge isn't level". They told Samsung this is what caused the ice maker to frost over and get jammed and break. Tech was here for about 15 minutes. I had ABT here a year ago, it's strange that their technician told me a completely different story, told me that the ice make has a known issue that falls under a tech bulletin, Samsung was even being sued over it. They lost, they were willing to cover the damage now, but at that time they were not. I even got a repair ticket number from Samsung this time, except this company told them a false story on the phone and now they won't cover it! "fridge isn't level"??? suuure it isn't (see photos). What a terrible company. These guys aren't even qualified to judge what a GFCI is from a surge protector. Unique Repair Services came to look at my refrigerator AGAIN after it threw a C52 and C21 error (Refrigerator room & Freezer room fan error) They took a bunch of things apart and made themselves look like they were working, when the reality is they did not a damn thing today nor did they even make a scheduling for a return visit. On Saturday the freezer spewed smoke and sparks into the freezer section after I opened the door after hearing a loud grinding and popping sound. The inside of the freezer is covered in a grayish black soot like substance. I'm calling Samsung and asking for a replacement Four "repair" appointments, a month and a half without a working refrigerator nor working water and ice and this. We are stuck using the emergency mini refrigerator as our primary fridge now. I am beyond disappointed in this company. Samsung is a half decent company willing to stand behind their products, but they also at the same time have selected some incompetent repair providers. And they let them wear Samsung Care shirts. I wouldn't let someone wear MY NAME if I were a manufacturer unless that person came from a manufacturer warehouse or technical center. If I were a refrigerator manufacturer I would want my own corporate employees repairing peoples EXPENSIVE appliances that they often depend on to keep vital medicines cool (like insulin and antibiotics for sick kids) Just because the manual says don't store medicine or life support products inside doesn't mean people can't. Nobody in the world can afford a medical grade refrigerator and medical grade freezer if they're on insulin and have refrigerated medicines and they shouldn't have to have a medical grade piece of equipment that the insurance won't pay for. Until then, I'm going to have Samsung REPLACE my refrigerator freezer that has faithfully served us for almost a year before getting brutally murdered by ComEd and their careless power service technicians generating a fatal power surge that destroyed the unit and then made it operate inconsistent with its design resulting in the freezer fan overheating and generating sparks and smoke. These incompetent technician Sean told me I shouldn't have it plugged into a surge protector (after I corrected them when they said "This a GFI, you can't plug this into a GFI" and I retorted "That's a surge interruptor dummy!" to which they curtly and rudely said "You will plug this directly into the wall no surge protectors!") This is moronic. The repair technician acted in a way inconsistent with the original installation and operations manual. The operators manual https://www.manuals.ca/samsung/rs27t5200sr/ states nothing about surge protection or use of a GFCI. Samsung said "It's okay to use a GFCI or surge protector provided it is voltage and amperage appropriate for the refrigerator" On the phone with Samsung as I wrote this review still on the phone with Samsung, Samsung has been doing their job and has been supportive throughout. Unique Repair stated "We found nothing wrong with the unit" There's clearly a lot wrong with the unit still. There's still a C52 error on it and all of that ash residue is evident that something happened and it DID, there was loud grinding and bangs on Saturday in addition to smoke and sparks. Their incompetent technicians said "Plug it back in and take video of it next time" Who knows if I'll be home next time it happens. Who knows if it happens again it will be such a well contained fire. Who knows if next time it'll burn the whole house down This refrigerator is a homeowners claim & lawsuit waiting to happen. Unique Ripoff Services If you're looking for a company that will come to your house 3 times, charge you each visit by saying you need a new part each time and still leave you with a broken appliance - awesome, you found the perfect place! I will say the serviceman who came to our house was very nice however that was the only good thing about this company. This is the most dissatisfied and infuriated I have ever been after paying for a service. A service that did nothing but waste my money and time. They came to my house THREE SEPARATE TIMES to "fix" my washing machine. Each time I had to pay for yet another part that "should have" fixed the issue. Spoiler alert: none of these parts fixed the issue. The first visit I'm pretty sure they did a Google search on the error code, told me I had to pay for a part that was needed, ordered it and had to come back. Second visit, put the new part in, runs the 15 fast wash cycle, says all good and leaves. I try to run an actual load and guess what? Still doesn't work, still same issues and now they must order and charge me for another part. Meanwhile when trying to schedule the THIRD appointment, I was told their "system is down" and they are unable to access any information or customer profiles. I should have run away then after two strikes and learning they can't even maintain their own system yet alone help with mine. Next up, the third visit the second part is installed and I bet you'll guess it - still doesn't fix the issue! So now at this point I have paid for two (unnecessary) parts, and the machine still does not work. He gives another solution (ordering a 3rd & most expensive part yet to replace the motherboard) however I decided not to move forward with their services as I had no confidence in what they were telling me was the actual issue. The way things were going, they would be back for a fourth, fifth, sixth time, expecting me to continue to pay for parts as we played the guessing game of what was wrong with the machine. I was already at the point that I could have bought a new washing machine...twice. However, if you really want to be infuriated just try their office customer service. Whoever the lady is there is arrogant even though she couldn't get any of the facts straight about their 3 visits and only repeated back over and over in a condescending tone an incorrect summary of each of the 3 times they had to come to my house. She will argue that they rendered service but apparently for Unique Repair Services that just means showing up, not repairing anything then still charging you for their service plus even more for new useless parts. You'll also have the opportunity to sit in awe as you are blamed for their failures while thinking to yourself how blatantly obvious it is that the simple fact that you have to justify your services by arguing with your customer why they needed to come out 3 times, order 3 different parts then leave you with a machine that is still broken clearly means you are unable to grasp what service actually is. I would give 0 if i could. We had a fridge service requested and this place is an absolute joke and do not trust the fake reviews they have put up on Google. We were without a fridge for 5 weeks. They sent someone to see what was wrong and "ordered parts" then the tech came a week and a half later and said the wrong parts were ordered so he ordered them. Then they said parts are on back order so no estimated time. Then they called us saying they received parts and scheduled a fix 4 and a half weeks later. Then they never came and said the ticket was completed. I would NEVER recommend this place. We've had to buy a small fridge in the meantime but they have no sense of urgency. Tech came to our home on Feb . 25, Samsung dishwasher needs a new drain pump. Installation scheduled for Feb. 28. Unique cancelled appmt. on morning of Feb. 28, because tech was sick, rescheduled for 12:00 to 3:00 March 3. No show, no call on Monday, March 3. I called at 3:30, where is tech? Busy on another job but will be there today. 4:50 p.m. "where is tech?". Still tied up but they will come tonight. No, you have wasted enough of my time. I had them come out after paying $119 and also paid for the part that needed to be replaced. Within 2 weeks a piece of the part fell out and although they claim to have a warranty they refused to place the part, which tells me that they use cheap parts for their work and THEY ABSOLUTELY DO NOT INTEND TO STAND behind their warranty. I spoke with a manager called Lizette several times and at one point she said we broke the piece (which we did not), the piece is stagnant and does not move but with the one piece (out of the 3) holding the item together, the integrity of the fridge door is wobbly and will break if not replaced again. A new Washer/Dryer combo was purchased and delivered. A panel was loose so I contacted the manufacturer and they sent Unique Repair Service. The service person claimed that it was not covered under warranty and charged me 198.90 to put a couple of clips in (less than 5 minutes). I called the manufacturer three times and they indicated all three times that the "repair" should have been under warranty. I called Unique Repair Service and they kept saying that is wasn't. The manufacturer said that they contacted Unique Repair Service and on my 4th call to them, they admitted that the manufacturer had indeed contacted them. Absolutely terrible company. I requested an appointment on July 7th and was given a slot on July 11th. I was called the day prior and was told I had to reschedule for the 15th. I was called on the 14th and was told I had to reschedule for the 21st. I told the worker I wanted to speak to the supervisor, and I was told she would reach out to me promptly. By the 17th I had heard nothing. I had to call the company four times to get through to the supervisor. I guess that's how they view people that are bringing them business, that they can't be bothered to talk to them. The supervisor said what had happened was unacceptable. Back in July, I submitted a work request to Samsung for my washing machine. They had Unique Repair Services contact me to set up a date to come to look at my machine. Twice Unique Repair Services contacted me and said they had to cancel my appointment because "there was no tech in my area". In order to set up my appointment I had to pay a $119 dollar deposit. After they cancelled my appointment the second time I asked for my deposit back. It took several calls and weeks before they finally refunded my deposit. They were clear no promises, but they reached out on Thursday to say that they could come on Friday. Ray showed up and was very helpful, explained what he was doing and updated along the way. 0 stars should be possible. SCAM. They wasted my time on 3 occasions and when I disputed the service fee through my credit card company they sent me to collections for $119! Insane! The first visit was to diagnose the problem. They called in sick the day of repair. The following week they came out WITHOUT the part and then didn't know when the part was going to arrive. I went elsewhere after that. I would have gladly applied the service fee toward the repair if they were anywhere close to capable. I stayed home 3 times to get sent to collections. STAY AWAY!! read more

Company doesn't want work. Asks for Receipts of appliances from 3 years ago and after providing still refused to comes out.

We had a Tuesday appointment this week with them to have our new Samsung washer serviced. Tuesday morning comes. The window we were given the service guy will come is 8am-9am. Just a note that we waited for a week and I took a day off for this. We received a call from their office at 8:08 am saying their repair guy is only allowed to wait for 10mins and their guy needs to go their next appointment and they can just reschedule us. We saw red because WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY CALL OR TEXT BEFORE THIS EVEN FROM THE SERVICE GUY HIMSELF! My partner goes running downstairs (we live in a building) and sees a van pulling away thinking this is the service van. He tried to get the driver's attention but failed. My partner calls the office back- multiple times! A total of 5 calls because with the first call they hung up on him. After 4 more attempts to connect with them, somebody finally answered and my partner asks to have the guy come back. Now this time is JUST 8:13am. Not even 10 mins have passed. The girl on the other line says oh no they cannot do that as the guy is on his way to next appt. Seriously?! 1) WE NEVER RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION THEY WERE AT OUR DOOR (if they really were at all!?) we have an intercom at the door and we were even not buzzed! 2) They said they can only wait for 10 mins?? Office called at 8:08 Then Technically service guy is still supposed to be waiting until 8:10, right? You give us one hour window to wait and I took time off for this day and they cannot come back even when it was not even 8:15am yet when we spoke with their office?!? 3)They cannot come back? Why?? Do they have to be at their next appointment 8:30am on the dot?!? Let's say they were able to service us - do they have to leave by 8:30am because they really have to be at their next appointment on a specific time?!? What kind of logic or thought process do you guys have? These were so lame and dumb reasons and you expect us to just buy these stupid excuses??! Then they have the audacity to give us an invoice noting NO CALL NO SHOW?! Wow. Maybe this is a description of their service guy then it would be accurate. read more
