I observed the owner and multiple staff, bending over backwards, to assist elderly clients to be comfortable and with respect, help to get up out of a chair or get special massages that do not hurt sensitive bodies. I got an awesome pedicure, gel nails, and my face waxed. The place is sparkling clean too. They have an awesome deal on gift certificates for Christmas. I have gone to other salons but have gotten nail fungus because they do not clean like Unique Nails. I have my own box of supplies to prevent contamination. Bright clean nail salon tucked behind Mirsinas. I did the mini spa pedicure which I don't think was worth $47. The two ladies next to me started at the same time and got a regular and I finished 5 minutes after... I wish they described on the menu what each pedicure is since the technician didn't speak much English to ask questions. I had my nails done by Jessica here a few weeks ago and she did a great job. I had a pearl manicure and pedicure and both the service and the massage were worth the added cost. Jessica was professional and took her time with the massage, which I really appreciated. The massage chairs worked and they didn't mind my 6 y.o. son laying down on their couch playing on my phone while he was waiting for me. My manicure only last a week but my pedicure still looks pretty decent despite how long it's been since my first visit. I plan to return today for a new mani-pedi special! read more

Visiting Saybrook from NYC and was looking for a salon to do a quick update on my toes and hand. Found unique nails through online reviews and decided to take a chance! The store is a little difficult to find. It's not on the main road - you have to turn in between the buildings. I almost gave up but am glad I stuck to my plan and found the salon! Danny and Diana were amazing with my hands and feet respectively. I showed Danny what style I wanted and he delivered! The pricing was also very fair. Definitely visit the salon! Everything is super clean, they use disposable tools for almost everything, and the rest is opened right out of a sealed autoclave package. Mimi did an excellent job on my gel mani, pedi and wax. Went to the salon for a pedicure and gel nails today. I usually do my own nails, but decided to enjoy the salon and hoping to relax. Michael was the man who was available. Took me right away. At first he was pretty nice. As time went on, he began to loose patience and actually yelled at me and embarrassed me after he made a mistake and put a napkin on my hand which hit my thumb and he had to redo the polish. I wanted put sunblock on my hands to protect from the rays (brought my own) and he said no! He made me so anxious, nervous and upset. He was totally annoyed at the whole situation. I gave him a large tip anyway. Not sure why. The lovely woman next to me looked very upset as he yelled at me and after scolded me and also taunted me for being undecided about choosing a color quickly. Children were there screaming as well and parents yelling at their children which made the expensive and time consuming experience also VERY stressful. Michael never said thank you for the generous tip or did he say good bye. This was a horrible experience and do not recommend this nail salon. Rude and nasty in a small town makes one wonder how they stay in business. Still upset. read more

I went in one day without an appointment for a spa pedicure and they took me right away. The woman filled up the tub you soak your feet in with this jelly like stuff I've never seen before. I went to Walt's Market and the woman who works there was so helpful and friendly I asked her if she could recommend a nail salon. Yes, right around the corner, Unique Nails; she said "I go there and they are the best. Just drive between those 2 buildings. "So I did and I was taken right away. My technician Erica was both professional and friendly. Everything was clean and sanitary. I told her about my injured leg from a fall I had 4 weeks ago and so I can add that she was careful and gentle with the leg.
