This place is great, I've been coming for years. I've got a challenging head too - I struggle to find stylists who make me look good, but they do a great job every time. I work with Annie, but they're all highly skilled, you can't go wrong. read more

My regular place for haircut. Always great service. Shout-out to Thi for giving me a great cut yesterday!

Friendly, busy place. Wish I could remember the names but both were very good. Haircut in my opinion was very good. I didn't see a bunch of hair around the floor. I'm not the best person to gauge a haircut; but in my opinion; this salon is very good. I'll try to remember to go to this salon. read more

Don't get a haircut from Thi. She has no idea how to do layers. She's also quite rude. My daughter was very upset and almost crying after her hair cut. She asked to cut just 1 inch and Thi took off way more. This is not even layering - it's basic hair cutting. My daughter has got haircuts from Annie in the past and she's great. Annie is on vacation and she settled for Thi - bad idea! read more

Annie did an incredible job with my haircut appointment. I really liked the fade haircut she gave me and the attention to detail. The haircut was exactly what I asked for in the photo, definitely coming back. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE !!! STAY AWAY FROM! they do not even understand simple instructions to NOT cut the hair too much, they royally messed up the hair for me and on top of it they have the audacity to blame it on to you and your hair. poor communication and poor skills.. will never go there again.. read more

I had my first haircut with Tran. Excellent experience. Easy to make appointment by phone, though the online reservation system didn't work for me. Maybe because I was a new customer. Tran was very detailed and kind. Haircut quality was 4 -star, just what I requested. Vibe was relaxed and peaceful. I will be going back. I found my new barber! read more

Great quality and service every time I've been coming here for years for my bi-weekly hair cuts. The team there never disappoints. read more

Always satisfied. Best valued haircut. Friendly and fast services. Professional and clean.

Call to get a haircut and they were able to have me come in right away. I definitely had a unique request, (wanted a mullet/ Mohawk) they did a great job and really spent a lot of time making it look perfect. A lot of places have difficulty with anything not traditional/ boring but they did a great job! Cut was super affordable and I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. Will be coming back for my next cut. read more

My go to place for haircuts. Amy knows what to do with my hair and has really helped my hair to become more stylish and comfortable at the same time. read more

Great place. I would recommend working with Kim, she has always done a great job. Thank you!

This is a typical Asian ran salon but not the price. However they do do good job and super speedy. If you ever need to get a quick I mean quick haircut this is the place. In and out under 25 minutes. read more

Made a same day appointment, I had no waiting time. My cut was pretty good. I would recommend this barbershop for anyone looking for a good cut with attention to detail. read more

Worst hair cut ever! Don't ever go here if you care for your hairs. 1) They don't care what you show them as reference picture. 2) Had booked premium cut, but they sent me back without shampoo because they wanted to other customers. 3) Hardly they listen to you, I told multiple time's during hair cut , keep it medium. But ruined my hairs by making it too short. Plus uneven hair cut on left and right side. 4) No hygiene at all, didn't clean hairs of previous customers from chair and hurried away everyone who came. Don't visit this place for hair cut. read more

My husband and I went for a haircut & beard styling with a hairdresser Thi and we had a very very bad experience today. She has very bad manners and completely ruined our day. I am very upset this happened. We told her how we want the hair to be cut but she won't listen. She kept on saying 'I know' and was doing something else. She left both sides at the back uneven and didn't even trim the hair properly. She refused to even hear what we had to say & we did NOT have the confidence to let her style the beard. So we didn't! We lost all the length of the hair and also the back of the head looks uneven. She didn't even make her screw up look even on both sides & then started yelling at us. Very very poor service! Total waste of our time, energy & money!! read more

This is the worst haircut I ever got in my life. And OVERPRICED. Plus awful experience. I showed the lady a photo of me after a haircut and asked her to do something similar (for the hair and the beard). After like 7 minutes, when she barley done anything- she's telling me "hair is ready, can we proceed with beard?" After I showed the photo again and ZOOMED, she's like "OK". At the end she haven't done anything similar, and the attitude was NOT NICE at all. Also no one offered me even water (usually I pay 40% less and they always offer water/ coffee/ beer). Not to mention the place itself got no vibes/ atmosphere to make you feel good/ relaxed/ comfortable. Feels like "we want your money and DO NOT CARE about you at all". And after all, she charged me $40 and told me that I need to tip her (?!). I can't believe people having business listed online, located in Silicon Valley and treat FIRST TIME client like that. Only good thing: I haven't had to stand in line and they accepted me quick. Will NOT come back ever ever again. Beware. read more

This review is on behalf of Annie N. Annie did a great hair cut for me today. I showed her a picture of what style of hair cut I was hoping to get close too and she nailed it! I appreciate that Anne was vey friendly and took the time to fine tune my hair cut. The shop was real easy to get to a great location and clean. I would recommend Annie I plan to go back for my next hair cut. read more

Speedy service and a great haircut. Also, I had a very personable stylist (Anni, sorry if I misspelled the name). I highly recommend going here if you're in the area. My previous one was uncomfortable. Their razor seems not new; I always feel something is pulling my hair. Anni gave me a fire haircut; she blended the sides really well, and she was really lovely. I'd come back for a next haircut read more

Great haircut find! Called and came in same day for a haircut. Super polite and nice staff that knew how to cut Asian hair. I usually struggle a lot with people properly cutting my hair, but they understood all the problems I was facing right away and even explained how they would fix it well. It's been a few weeks since I've had my cut here, and would definitely say they did a good job to make it so my cut stays manageable and clean. read more

Did alright job for the most part but messed up my part line badly and will probably take several weeks to undo what they did. Very unfortunate and would not recommend coming here. read more

I get my haircut here regularly with Thi. She's the best at cutting Asian hair. She knows what she's doing and she's efficient, professional and does a good job. The only thing is that she's always booked you have to make a reservation a week in advance. I have tried more than 10 different barbers in the bay area in the past decade and Thi is simply the best. read more

This review is on behalf of Annie N. I've been getting fades for years, and am super OCD when it comes to seeing lines and making sure the fade contours my head correctly, the way I want it. I was happy for the longest time, pre-covid paying premium prices for this quality, and sometimes it would take an hour to reach that level of attentiveness. Then, on top of that, I'd have to drive super far, maybe through traffic since appointments were limited. The whole ordeal would be at least two hours, plus 30 miles roundtrip in my car. That said, Annie N. is my new barber, hands down. The prices here are very reasonable in comparison for that same level of service ($30 plus tip). Her attention to detail is on point. She takes half the time of my old barber, but is just as good, and I never have trouble getting an appointment that works for me. To top it off, it's only a few miles from where I live, so I can literally get a haircut during my lunch break because of how quick she is, still get lunch, and be back within an hour. One time I had booked an appointment, and someone tried to squeeze in before me because they had a similar name, and when I got there and said I had an appointment, she booted him out of the chair for me. Go checkout my review of Vintage Barber in Chesapeake, Virginia, where I had a similar, but negative experience to see just how high my standards are, and how I don't go dishing out positive reviews haphazardly. Highly recommend Annie for anyone looking for a great fade! read more

Took my son for a haircut here last weekend for the first time, and the service was AMAZING. Will definitely will be going back again.

Great haircuts. I go there regularly. Quick, efficient and to my liking. I recommend Thi.

This place saved my life after SuperCuts tried to end it. Backstory: Went to Supercuts to get a NECK TRIM in between haircuts with my usual barber. Simple enough, right? NOPE! The lady at Supercuts took a #1 clipper and SHAVED OFF 1.5 inches of hair off the back of my neck with no blending or tapering! After small meltdown in the parking lot, I yelped up this place and managed to book a haircut just before closing. When I showed up the lady who helped me (I forget to get her name) was SHOOK at what they had done to me. Once she regained her composure, she wasted no time and got to blending right away. I walked out with a clean fade, comparable to the ones I get from my barber of record. I would come back to this place for a full haircut without a doubt. read more

I used to like going to this place but the staff (Thi) has been awefully rude and impatient while cutting hair now. Still went twice but never going back again because of the terrible service they provide. And the quality of hair cuts has also deteriorated over the last year. read more

This review is specifically for Annie N!! I have been to others there and they are solid but not at Annie's caliber. For me specifically, I have found that barbershops do a phenomenal job with the fade however typically lack the scissor skills available at a hair salon. Hair salons typically have the scissor skills but lack the ability to do an exceptional fade. Annie does both and she does it in under 30 minutes. She is personable and I will not get my hair cut anywhere else as long as I live in the Bay Area. I should also mention I drive 45 minutes each way to get my hair cut by her. Great service great price but be sure to tip well because they deserve it!!! read more

Words can't even describe how upset I am with my haircut. Only a couple weeks ago I got my hair cut by the same stylist (Thi) and I gave a very positive review, but you wouldn't even believe it was the same person that cut my hair 3 weeks ago. It looks like someone's first attempt at cutting hair. When she lined me up she took out decent a chunk of my hairline. I didn't notice at first but once I took a closer look at it after I left I immediately noticed and had to go back for a refund. I don't understand how the same person that gave me a great haircut just a couple weeks prior could then also give me the worst haircut of my life. When I told her about the chunk of my hair missing from my hairline she claimed she never lines people up and that she didn't do it and it was actually my own hair falling out. I can respect people that own up to their own mistakes but to treat their customers like they're idiots is just insulting. My hair definitely did not fall out because it's clear there is a perfect line from where the hair was cut and you can see the roots from where the razor cut the existing hair. She refused to give me a refund and it wasn't until I told her I could provide picture proof of my hair before. That's when she finally conceded and gave me a refund. If you want someone that can consistently cut hair well and treat their customers with respect then I would certainly look elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here. read more

2 Years later and still a great place to get a haircut. I can't find anything wrong with this place. Their location is prime- you have a Ranch 99, Nob Hill and a Boba place nearby. I'm glad the lady that cuts my hair is still here. read more

My son had his haircut here and it looked great! She was so friendly and it was easy to get an appointment.

I made 2 appointments online with them today based on the good reviews online. We get their on time and she made my kids wait 30 minutes saying she does not have time for both kids but then she took 3 walkins. She spent 5 minutes on my kids hair and she did a terrible job since it was such a rush job. Terrible service 20 dollars for a kids cut so priced on the higher end Rushed service They also don't honor online appointments I think the online reviews are mostly placed by their own friends and family read more

Always a great, top quality cut... Exactly to your liking. You only have to explain to them once what you want, and they know exactly how to do it every time.. At least this has been my experience here, with every barber here. They have superb customer service! I've been to many barbers in the Bay Area and San Joaquin Valley and this place offers the best quality, the best value, consistent service, and overall friendly customer service. Annie does an excellent job with my hair and I'm so satisfied with her consistent attention to detail with her craft and skill. All the ladies there do a rediculously amazing job there! Thi is the best!! My son and I go every two weeks for haircuts, but even my daughters and my wife have had their hair cut by Thi.

I got a great haircut here from Thi. She is very friendly and professional and she made sure to cut it exactly how I wanted. Their COVID precautions are good, with plexiglass between customers. I recommend coming to Unique Mens Haircuts if you're looking for a good haircut in the area. read more

Unique Men Haircuts - After haircut with Thi - Men's Hair Salons Near Me - Mountain View, California

I used to come here quite a bit when I lived in the South Bay because it was really convenient to stop by after school at 4pm-ish for a quick haircut before dinner. The quality of haircuts here is really nice, but it's definitely not what I'd consider cheap -- with tip a basic haircut is like $30 so it's a definitely a step up and I kind of expect a bit more -- which is why this place only gets a 4-star from me. I've also had the stylist misinterpret the type of haircut I want -- basically as my hair grows longer on top, I tend to style it pushed over to one side kind of like a combover, but when it's shorter I like to style it so it's more uniformly forward spiked -- I expressed this to the stylist but she basically just kept my combover style but made it shorter, which doesn't work because to do that she basically had to cut one side of my hair shorter than the other, so I was just stuck with this short combover look, that I'm meh about, which is a bummer (still looked nice though). So I guess I've never been really "wow"-ed by the haircuts I've gotten here, but the baseline quality you get here definitely makes it a safe choice, so it's still an okay choice. read more

I wanted to love this place, based on most of the reviews I read, but . . . What can one do when asking for a specific approach to a haircut--what to do, what not to do--and the operator nods agreement, then does exactly what one asks NOT to be done? I asked that the neck area be tapered. I dislike the 'hard' cut at the back of the neck, so fashionable today, and prefer tapering. You don't agree? But it's my hair, not yours. Haircuts are very personal. I asked for tapering and got that hard cut. And the implements were wielded painfully, time and again. I wondered a time or two if I might lose an ear or get a cut or bruise in my scalp. I winced and frowned, and maybe the message got through. Maybe not. But live and learn. Never again, here. read more
