For most other firms, generator service appears to be a sideline. For Potomac, it's what they do and pretty much all they do. I paid the technicians more than $500 for the job. After they left, we noticed the oven was no longer flush with the wall and the drywall under the oven was severely damaged. Because the damage was under the oven, it was not immediately visible. Neither technician was honest enough to tell me they damaged the drywall while making the repair. On the next business day, I called Mr. Appliance to report the damage. I made an appointment for someone at the company to see the damage, but no one came. When I called the following day to schedule another appointment, I was asked to send pictures of the damage. I sent the pictures the same day, but received no response. I called several times and sent an email and received a cryptic, anonymous message from Mr. Appliance indicating the team was reviewing the pictures and they hoped to complete the review that day. More than a week later, I have received absolutely no other response from anyone at Mr. Appliance. Totally unacceptable. Based on other reviews, it appears my experience with this company is not unique. Apparently, not only do the technicians lack the necessary technical and personal skills, but also this company's management is either incompetent, or lacks integrity, communication skills, business etiquette, and courage. A lesson for the company's owners: Problems do not go away because they are ignored. They just get older and more complicated. Kimberly

Title: I really wish this were still a 5-star company…read more I've been a customer of Cooper Refuse and Hauling, LLC since 2022. For the first couple of years, they were great. Reliable, affordable, and they never missed a pickup. Over the last year or two, things started slipping. A missed week here and there, every couple of months. Usually they'd come the next day, or I'd call or email and even if no one answered, someone would eventually come get the trash. But it kept happening more often. Then my trash started sitting out for days. Half a week. Sometimes a full week. No pickup, no response. I'd call, email, and text and hear nothing. Eventually I had to bring the trash back in myself. What really pushed it over the edge was trying to cancel service. I asked to cancel and just wanted someone to acknowledge it. No response at all. That feels really irresponsible and unprofessional, especially for customers who've been with you for years. I get that businesses grow and have issues, but basic communication matters. If there's a problem, send an email. Let people know. So they don't leave trash out all week, or have to make other arrangements if they're going out of town, or deal with extra stinky trash in the middle of summer. It's really about communication and respect. And unfortunately, that's been missing.

During the in-person consultation (after a few phone discussions) and minutes before the inspection, Tory's professionalism and demeanor gave me the confidence I wanted before going into this inspection, as I left him and his assistant alone to complete the inspection. The inspection was completed promptly, and the detailed results were emailed soon thereafter. Tory followed up to ensure that I had received the report and to ask if I had any additional questions about the report. After reviewing the detailed report, of course, I had questions about the recommendations, the best methods to correct it, and Tory's opinion on estimated costs and timelines for the corrections. True to form, Tory gave an exhaustive explanation for the inspection report and assured me to call again if I needed more assistance. Finally, this experience with working with Tory was everything I needed to move forward with our real estate project. The decision to use Tory, with his experience, demeanor, and professionalism, will result in a follow-up call for any new or existing home improvement projects. It was wise for me, and it would be wise for anyone to choose this company for your inspection needs.
