Williams was very competitive they we're not the cheapest. However, we delt with George Williams personally and the extras we got made the difference. They offered a 2-year guarrantee with regular maintenance twice a year for touch-ups and gutter cleaning. That, the excellent references we were given and the 100+ years they have been in business sealed the deal. They gave us a starting date and showed up when they said they would. They also had the same crew throughout the project. We expected a 3-4 week project with everything, but they finished in nearly 2 weeks. There were a few small fixes at the end, as would be expected, but overall the job was fantastic. The interior plasterwork was also professionally done and very clean. We highly recommend A.G. Williams.

Some of them came with rocket high price for my little 600 sqft project, some others came and visited but never bothered with a quote, some were a good match but were not available with my timeline. Wilfredo was nice and flexible to meet me during evening after work and evaluate my project. He is not that type of person who scares you with "professional terms". In fact, he doesn't talk much at all, he listened to what I wanted, got straight down to measurement, and provided verbal quote on the spot and followed with email formal quote. I scheduled my work a few days later and they showed up on time, again, without much talking, straight down to work. In the middle of the process I changed my mind on floor color, and he was able to accommodate to the change right away with a reasonable change in price which I agreed to. He went to buy the color I wanted and started coating. My project was completed in 1 day which is huge to me...I don't know how other flooring guys would have done it but I know there are guys telling me that he needed 5 days even with water based paint. He gave me what I considered to be a fair price per square foot (based on my research of average pricing for wood floor refinishing) over the phone and was able to meet me that same day to get exact measurements. He was very accommodating to my schedule understanding that I wasn't currently living in the apartment and needed some extra travel time. The meeting was efficient and painless. He asked all the right questions and did not waste my time. He took down my email address and told me that he would email me the estimate. I needed this job to be done asap and he assured me that he could start the work on Monday and be done in 2 days. Sure enough later that evening he sent me the estimate via email. Richard was the only person to send me estimated costs in advance, provide me with images to consider finishes before hand. He was on time to the initial site meeting to take measurements and provide a detailed estimate. He was approachable, replied to emails quickly and gave me a sense of confidence that won him the job. I eliminated one company for missing the initial meeting (he called to say he'd be 2 hours late - this is unacceptable to me). I had them remove a partial wall, patch what was left over, and sand and refinish the floors. The guys on the site were great, punctual and reliable. They provided on site samples of the finishes for me to make a selection. (I would ask for this in advance if you want to see multiple colors/tones). The job took 4 days from start to finish, and was completed on time, as promised. Richard's price was competitive and the work was well done. They were respectful and listened to my concerns, described the work in detail and let me know what they would work on each day. I feel confident in recommending them to anyone.
