The shop itself has some interesting works, however, the experience as a customer was unfortunately…read moredisappointing. The store attendant/owner was incredibly rude to my partner - a polite inquiry about the price of a piece and any possible discount was met with an exaggerated exclamation of "No! No!" and being instructed with a bit of a condescending tone to put the piece back. A far kinder and more respectful response would have been more appropriate, welcoming, and effective (something like the following would have been more called for: 'no, I'm sorry that is the price I must sell it for, let me know if you're still interested or if i can show you another piece at your price point'). After the reaction, as my partner was putting the piece back and we were already moving toward the door leaving, the attendant/owner half-heartedly offered the piece could still be had (for the stated price), but the damage was already done. Though it is hard to know for certain, and she could have been having a bad day or have this character with everyone and would like to give benefit of the doubt, it is possible that there were some unconscious racial dynamics involved as my partner is a Person of Color. My partner felt deeply embarrassed/humiliated and upset - and the incident left a bad taste. Warning to others and suggest the owner/attendant to examine their behavior toward customers and to treat them with respect and kindness.

Went there 10 years ago to purchase a couple of little kid chairs and a nice piece of midcentury…read morefurniture (it's a bit complicated, a sort of dresser but for glass and ustensils, which we now use for toys). Was not cheap but remain feasible. Well ... 10 years later, not a single complain: furniture are perfect and we only had compliment and pleasure. I suspect this place is full of things like that: sound investment if you like the style.

I almost hate that old 'they-don't-make-'em-like-they-used-to' saying- but it's so true. I'm not a…read more60s child but there's something totally funked out and provocative that pumps the hell outta me about the 60s and the furniture. I just think it's a higher level of quality and more than anything- Stylish. But structure, the colors and graphics- it's what's also important. And besides...a sofa that might be 40+ years old might be better quality than what you're buying at one of those mass-market retailers! This is where Carole Master Interiors come in. Hubs noticed Carole Masters a few weeks back on his way to Sebastian's Barber Shop. Since then, a trip here- was in order to browse and see if we find a rustic shelf for our home office and another rustic wood piece for my makeup, small clutches perfumes, etc. This shop though- is crammed full and screams 1960s Mod- more than any other style I felt. Think more like- 'The Man from 'U.N.C.L.E' (the original). The nice thing about Carol Masters is that you aren't sorting through piles of 'stuff'. But expect to find everything from coffee tables, plastic clear chairs, high stools, end tables- I mean this places isn't huge by any means but has a lot of interesting stuff. Connie gave us some scoop on the shop and pieces they carry here and on 1stdibs.com. Prices? They're up there. But she hit a home run when she said Interiors can bargain. Give yourself some time to check things out because there are serious treasures tucked inside.
