We were introduced to them through our wedding planners and feel beyond grateful that we were able to work with them. Since I am also Persian, we wanted the ceremony to include a traditional Sofreh Aghd which is a table and seating display that encompasses many different traditional Persian elements that are brought to life with florals. We could not have been more thrilled with the florals from our wedding! From the first conversations with Laurie we knew we were in great hands and that she got the vibe that we were looking for - we weren't super specific aside from general color palate, and they nailed it. We were having a last minute wedding reception and needed flowers for our centerpieces for 6 tables and flowers for our cake and flowers and greenery for the other tables. The people at Unique were so friendly and so helpful. My husband and I weren't even sure what we wanted or needed and had been to three other florist before this one. Heather showed us what would work and suggested many things that would make the centerpieces look bigger and prettier without blowing our budget out of the water. I'm not even sure where to begin, but I can say with zero hesitation that booking with Unique Floral Designs was one of the very best decisions I made for my wedding. Laurie was so sweet, personable, and genuine. Truly a dream to work with. Obviously I shed a lot of tears for multiple reasons on my big day, but seeing my flowers for the first time upon arriving to my venue was one of the most memorable moments for me. Had such a great experience with Unique Floral Designs. I was looking for a floral arrangement last minute and came across this local business in the Simi Valley area. Though they mainly do weddings and large events, I was informed that they also do special deliveries on smaller arrangements. I decided to reach out as I loved their arrangements (please go to their website and take a look at their portfolio) and they quickly responded. Laurie, one of the lead designers, gladly set me up. I provided her with a budget, recipient's name and address and it was carefully delivered. The recipient loved her flowers and sent me a photo. It was beautiful! Exactly what I asked for! Due to privacy reasons, I cropped the recipient out of the photos, but I wanted to share how beautiful the floral arrangement was. These photos really don't do it justice. Very disappointed in how they handled an inquiry. They did the flowers for my wedding a few years ago and they did a wonderful job. Prompt in responding, organized, and the flowers turned out exactly how I envisioned. I am now a bridesmaid in a wedding and I referred them to the bride. She reached out over a month ago and they provided an inquiry page for her to fill out. We sat together and filled it out, detail by detail. Because of Valentines Day, I told the bride to be patient with their response because they are likely busy. However, the week after Valentines goes by, so she emailed them. They told her they had been busy- no problem, we get it. They finally responded today..... just to tell her that her wedding date is already booked. For the last MONTH, we could've been reaching out to other florists. We were confident that they would do a great job and simply wanted the cost for everything and get the ball rolling. They made us wait over a month just to tell us the date is booked? Why wasn't that checked the moment she originally reached out? Before we spent time filling out their inquiry page? A+++++++ Words cannot even begin to describe how incredible this company is.... and Laurie (owner and gorgeous soul) has the biggest heart and most incredible passion for floral arrangements and creating master piece bouquets and floral designs. She helps your vision come to life. Now, my wedding planner would vouch we were very, very particular. We were getting married at an Art Deco venue with the colors of black, gold and deep vintage red. I wanted something that I have not seen before for my wedding day. I wanted something incredibly dramatic and extra extra massive compared to my petite 5'1 height. And a gorgeous vintage red cascade bouquet. Well, did Laurie deliver!!!! I started to tear up when she brought it in the room for me. It was stunning. It was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. She nailed every flower I wanted including my favorite red roses and deep purple cymbidium orchids. She even went out of her way to purchase these stunning vintage gold vases for all our high Center pieces just for me and my wedding! I was flattered beyond words!!! Literally blown away!!! She knew I wanted my cranberries in water where the table cards laid for that fall vintage feel. She made the gorgeous striking tie backs for our canopy where we stood under to be married. And we just got Teaser photos so I will post the rest in a month when they come in. They were also repurposed in front of our sweetheart table to save us some. She brought all the gorgeous candles and candelabras and made the most spectacular grand romantic vintage fall grand entrance... she and my wedding planner made a stunning sweetheart table that looked like gold and red romance royalty. She even laid a single rose in front of my beloved father's photographer to honor him on my most special day. I was floored!!! Laurie let me meet up with her and express my concerns 2-3 times since my vision changed over the course of the year and I was so meticulous. She was patient, listened and made time for all my worries and rest assured she delivered exceptionally the most stunning floral vision I had HUNDREDS of compliments after our wedding. Everyone said it should be in a bridal magazine! I even had her last minute create a bouquet for our engagement photos of the same florals but in white and very blush light pinks opposite of the reds and deep purples. It was beautiful. I forgot it on the way to our engagement shoot so we had Uber bring it to us! Thanks Uber lol. You are in the BEST hands! Laurie even noticed that my special red silk ribbon was bleeding (special ordered to hand below bouquet and be tied on it as it was from my invitations) off my bridal bouquet because she noticed it was going to run on my dress so she made the executive decision to remove it just in time! One of THE best decisions I made for my wedding was to hire UFD. Besides being just incredible florists, they are also the most wonderful people I have worked with. The wedding industry is a funny business...you have to double check to make sure you're not being taken advantage of. This team builds immense trust with it's clients and you know that they are doing their absolute best for you. I provided Laurie my budget at our first meeting together. She was completely non-judgmental and helped me craft a vision that would work well with my budget. At no point, did she ever try to upsell me. In addition, I changed my 'vision' for the wedding twice...Laurie and her team were extremely patient and helped me work through it all. Finally, the actual wedding day.....UFD took my breath away. We really appreciated the excellent work by the Unique Floral Design Team. We had a particularly difficult wedding as we were married outdoors on the hottest day on record in July. Their team went above and beyond to work through the heat, stage the flowers only at the last minute when necessary to prevent wilting and never complained once. I fell in love with Heather and Laurie's work on instagram which I started following after a bridal show in the Simi Valley area. For our wedding we only needed cake flowers, my bridal bouquet and his boutonniere; we were trying to connect with someone closer to our Santa Clarita home due to transport concerns. I was snubbed. My mom and I both were snubbed. I look pretty young and this had kind of become an unfortunate norm during my wedding planning process. A few months before the wedding, I just could not even try working with them anymore so even as late as it was, I went on a limb and contacted Unique Floral Designs. They were soo kind and accommodating, it didn't take more than a week to set up a sit down. Heather met with my MOH and myself and had so many great ideas, understood my vision immediately and made me feel secure. You could see what a team this truly was. Coming from a DIY family and knowing how much my mom helped on my wedding crafts, I HAVE to appreciate the fact that this is a mother/daughter team - just so cool. They were very professional and en point with all the timely correspondence. The delivery didn't even turn out to be that much of an issue and the pricing is very reasonable. I had people shouting crazy prices at me while meeting other florists but Heather saw my price and suggested sustainable, budget friendly flowers that went with my vision and color theme. Come the wedding day: I don't think the fact that I was getting married and that it was my wedding day hit me till I saw my beautiful bouquet. It was absolutely perfect, the most beautiful blooms I've seen put together with some of my stated favorites like dusty pink roses and dusty millers. When I first saw the bouquet, I became immediately excited and thought, "Oh how pretty!!!" It took me about another minute to realize that this was for me, it was my bouquet and that this day was really really happening. I think that as a bride, that is such a magical moment when your heart and mind connect so that you can fully appreciate the day and the experience.
