How do I start by telling you how wonderful Jen is?! She is excellent with her facials, waxing, etc. I had a zit by my eyebrow that had a heart beat of it's own! I'd called her up and she fit me right in. She worked on it and removed the heartbeat of my zit and because it was so GiNormous that I had to go back again for her to extract more of it - for FREE the second time. This has shown me how much she cared and put her heart into her job. She even went above and beyond by throwing some other work on my face without charging and I know that blue light is another $50 somewhere else but, she gave it to me because I needed it! How wonderful. Oh, and I had her do my eyebrow and lip wax and it's been almost two weeks, no sign of any growth coming back! Whatever wax she uses, it's amazing - just like her! First off, her place is located off of Burlingame Avenue in a small nail salon, where the ladies are also very welcoming as you enter the shop. The atmosphere is very cozy, relaxing, and especially well organized. As you walk further to the back of the salon, that's where Jen will work her magical touch and turn your skin into pure elegant softness! I go here to get my eyebrows waxed and shaped every 2 months or so. What I like most about Jen is that she extremely thorough with every single process, she puts forth time and effort when satisifing her customer's daily beauty needs. Based on the great yelp reviews, I decided to try Unique Esthetics for a facial. The reviews are spot on and I wasn't disappointed. Jennifer rearranged things to fit me in at short notice but left me lots of time to discuss my skin, my issues, needs and concerns. She included special treatments as part of the service including the red light therapy and a brow and lip wax. I have never fallen asleep during a facial before but I did and was so relaxed afterwards. Plus my skin, which is hugely sensitive and often reacts to facials, looked fabulous and still does a week later. I will be back!! read more

I've had facials in five star resorts, fancy salons etc. Jennifer's Sonopeel facial, I must say, is the best facial I have ever experienced. She actually took time to examine the condition of my skin prior to my treatment. It's certainly not a "one size fits all" practice. After the facial, Jennifer hand picked a few samples of products to address my concerns and told me that I would probably see the results of the facial within a few days. Well, I woke up the next day with "new" skin. I was glowing and my skin was soft, smooth and full of moisture. My husband, who didn't know I had a facial, looked at me (without makeup) and said, "Wow! Your skin looks amazing!" It was Jennifer's facial. Jennifer sat down and listened to all my skin concerns. I developed some spots on my cheeks these past 3yrs & dermotologist said it's not unusal for Asians and basically told me not to worry. I've been a client of the owner, Jennifer, for over a decade when she specialized in skincare and cosmetics on the retail level. She was always helpful in recommending specific products tailored to my skincare needs and very knowledgeable about the cosmetic industry and their products. I had my make-up done by her before a fancy corporate Christmas party at the Fairmont in San Francisco and she made me look stunning! I have sensitive skin and she made sure to use products that wouldn't leave me with a rash on my face. She did several different procedures on me. I especially liked the Chocolate Decadence facial. I got my eyebrows shaped today and it was an experience. Jennifer was great. This was such a different experience from my past brow waxings at another place. I got a facial from Jen and was so impressed from the beginning to the end. Prior to the treatment, she explained everything she was going to do, all the different types of products, types of ingredients they contain and various tools she would use. One can quickly tell she loves what she does. She keeps up with the latest technical instruments and facial remedies. She is extremely through and patiently went over my facial regime...working on how to improve overall appearance & tone. When I walked in, she greeted me with a nice hot cup of tea and then we progressed to the back room where I enjoyed my facial on the most comfortable heated bed! She also worked on my eyebrows and was very impressed on how well she defined my arch. The facial was so relaxing that I feel asleep and..may have even snored. She used a tool that did not even require painful extractions (which is what I am used to). I left feeling so clean and with a healthier glow. I also had my engagement makeup trial with Jen. The makeup stayed on all day and the look was natural and even better than I had imagined. I did not feel the need to have a trial with anyone else and ended up hiring her to do my wedding makeup.
