I hired Shafik to choreograph my daughter's waltz for her quinceanera. The dance itself wasn't the issue, Andy was assigned to be their choreographer and he did good with the kids. I booked a mariachi band and DJ with Shafik and that was the worse mistake made. To start there was no choreographer when it was time to start the waltz. In the beginning of the party some lady came in to confirm with me the songs, timings, and the family members who were going to dance with my daughter. Everything on her sheet was correct so I signed and she disappeared after. When it was time for my daughters waltz the DJ played the wrong songs during their dance, when the kids were done with a song and the music kept playing. When it was time for my daughter to dance with our family members the DJ invited everyone else who wanted to dance with her which made the waltz even longer (something I didn't agree too). When I booked the DJ with Shafik I asked if the DJ would have several DJ lights and he said yes. When I got to the venue the DJ only had two speakers and two lights, one on each side. I messaged Shafik the following day letting him know about the issues along with video showing him and he never even apologize. I hired Shafik because he was recommended by a friend who used him to choreograph her daughters quinceañeras. If I would of know this was the kind of service he provided I would have saved myself so much money and not booked with him.

Our practices kept getting cancelled or changed despite having chosen a day and time that works for all of us. They (receptionist) would call the day before to change our time that worked for almost none of us and there was nothing that could be fixed. Choreographer only shows dance moves and knows nothing else. Hard to get make up sessions. Overall incredibly unprofessional especially for the amount that was paid!!! The day of the event, they sent over a "master of ceremonies" that knew nothing. Had to spent about 15-20 mins explaining everything (which if you know during an event that is a lot of time wasted). Once the dances were starting, they played the wrong song in 2 different occasions making us look bad! Honestly, don't recommend since at the end of the day any questions or problems never get answered and nobody knows anything. The receptionist even quit half way through so there was a moment we literally were in the dark on who was going to do what.

I recommend the intermediate level if you know the basic steps, catch onto choreography quickly, and have a sense of rhythm. Both instructors (Carmen and another woman) were very friendly and super helpful in learning the combos and reviewing at an appropriate pace when needed. I felt challenged (which I like), but not in a way where the content was too much. It helped to have various skill levels amongst the gentlemen in the room. Shoutout to Luis and Alfredo for being great leads ! I also liked that the class was primarily given in Spanish, as I am trying to learn !!! I look forward to coming back to salsa class again this week or next. My only two things to recommend to improve would be to recruit more guys, as sometimes we ladies just had to practice steps on our own or mark the moves since the lady to gentleman ratio was a bit off. Usually 2-4 ladies dancing alone at any given time. I understand there is a lot out of the studio's control on that one, but it would be great to recruit more. My daughter has always been happy through her folklorico journey, but since being with Maestro Mario, it has sparked a true joy and passion in her. All the kids enjoy learning from him. He has a special gift in teaching beautiful choreography with patience and discipline. Aside from choreography, the students are taught important technique skills with Maestra Edith, that further strengthen them as dancers. I am the parent of a competitive team member who was recently enrolled at Twisters…read moreGymnastics. After our experience, my daughter has asked to be withdrawn from the program because she feels uncomfortable. She reported that she was physically struck by coach Bertha for having her fingernails and toenails painted. Physical discipline is not acceptable. If there is a grooming policy, it should be communicated directly to parents -- not enforced through physical contact. She came home visibly shaken and afraid. Two days after a competition, a group message was sent implying that a family had caused an incident and warning that families could be removed without notice. I responded because I had briefly defended myself after another parent nearly became physically aggressive toward me. When I later suggested clearer direction for where lines should form to prevent confusion in the future, I was told that as part of the team I should "help instead of making comments." During that exchange, I was also told to "keep these messages as reference for future accounts" after I requested written communication for documentation purposes since I could not attend in person. Professional communication should not feel intimidating. In a separate instance, when I asked about a holiday discount poster displayed at the gym, l received a dismissive response rather than a simple clarification that the discount did not apply to the competitive team. I was also told that if I did not like how the business was run, I could remove my daughter from the team. Ultimately, that is what we have chosen to do. Most concerning, my daughter's father later informed me that he was told future communication would be directed only to him, despite me having full custody and being an active, paying parent. Parents should be able to ask reasonable questions and raise concerns without being met with hostility or exclusion. Most importantly, children should feel safe and supported in their sport. Based on our documented experience, we cannot recommend this gym and highly discourage children ve coached by Coach Bertha. Children should be treated with respect as much as the parents. Stay vigilant and listen to your children, if you chose to bring your kids here.

Two of our kids have taken one class each here so far and they have both enjoyed their classes. Our…read morelittle one did a Ballet/Tap class and the older one did a Musical Theater class. The little one has social anxiety in new settings and the instructor did a great job of making him feel comfortable and getting him to participate in class. She allowed me to go inside with him for a few minutes and I walked out when he didn't notice me. During his water breaks he came out smiling and giving me a thumbs up. The older one jumped right in and was all smiles during her class. The owner was present during the second class and she was very personable and approachable. I appreciate their clear policy about adults remaining in the waiting area for children safety. Parents are allowed to be allowed closer for the little ones only. I respect that. The only down sides are the smell that comes from the barbecue place next door and the heat in the waiting. They appear to have air conditioning in the dance rooms, but the waiting area can get a little warm and they use fans. My wife was pleasantly surprised to find that they have adult dance classes and there appears to be plenty of parking in the plaza. Overall, we have had positive experiences and look forward to future dance lessons.
