Surprise Dance: it was SHOW TIME for the court of honor soon as those curtains came opened. Hostesses: Made sure I had nothing to worry about. They made sure people where seated for reception, helped me get the Court of Honor ready (surprise dance). Before event they were aware of our type 1 princess and ensured she was provided the correct drink for toast. The Choreographers were very attentive during practices. I would post videos but it wouldn't do justice to the teams craft. It's not just a dance or a couple of songs a family or children dance too. They put on an entire production. I would not recommend this company with anyone. I paid so much money so my daughter's waltz could turn out beautiful and unfortunately so many issues were caught on video. I hired Shafik to choreograph my daughter's waltz for her quinceanera. The dance itself wasn't the issue, Andy was assigned to be their choreographer and he did good with the kids. I booked a mariachi band and DJ with Shafik and that was the worse mistake made. To start there was no choreographer when it was time to start the waltz. In the beginning of the party some lady came in to confirm with me the songs, timings, and the family members who were going to dance with my daughter. Everything on her sheet was correct so I signed and she disappeared after. When it was time for my daughters waltz the DJ played the wrong songs during their dance, when the kids were done with a song and the music kept playing. When it was time for my daughter to dance with our family members the DJ invited everyone else who wanted to dance with her which made the waltz even longer (something I didn't agree too). When I booked the DJ with Shafik I asked if the DJ would have several DJ lights and he said yes. When I got to the venue the DJ only had two speakers and two lights, one on each side. I messaged Shafik the following day letting him know about the issues along with video showing him and he never even apologize. I hired Shafik because he was recommended by a friend who used him to choreograph her daughters quinceañeras. If I would of know this was the kind of service he provided I would have saved myself so much money and not booked with him. read more

LACK OF COMMUNICATION!!! Unfortunately did not have a good experience with Shafik's people. Once the contract is signed, he hardly ever responds. Has different people who deal with you. Our practices kept getting cancelled or changed despite having chosen a day and time that works for all of us. They (receptionist) would call the day before to change our time that worked for almost none of us and there was nothing that could be fixed. Choreographer only shows dance moves and knows nothing else. Hard to get make up sessions. Overall incredibly unprofessional especially for the amount that was paid!!! The day of the event, they sent over a "master of ceremonies" that knew nothing. Had to spent about 15-20 mins explaining everything (which if you know during an event that is a lot of time wasted). Once the dances were starting, they played the wrong song in 2 different occasions making us look bad! Honestly, don't recommend since at the end of the day any questions or problems never get answered and nobody knows anything. The receptionist even quit half way through so there was a moment we literally were in the dark on who was going to do what. read more

I started my journey with Fairy Tales Company, I had a bad experience with them and decided to go with Shafik. My journey with them started very well until 2 weeks before my event a very close family member passed away. I was heartbroken and couldn't bare to continue with my daughters quince. I was emotional mess and couldn't speak without crying. My coordinator from Tiaras and Tacones had to tell all my vendors to postpone till further notice. At first it was a bit overwhelming to message Shafik I had no response. However, I had my husband message and talk to him since I believe sometimes men understand each other better. He was able to accommodate my group and we changed the songs too since I was not happy with the choreography. I wasn't happy because the kids forgot and it was a disaster. We went with easier steps and the length was shorter too. Jormeri choreographed the waltz it based off the Vampire diaries dance with Elena and Damon with the amazing voice of Sia-elastic heart. It was beautiful. Jormeri knew how to speak to the kids and taught them very easily. The choreographer Natalie was amazing but her steps were too hard and the previous 2 songs were boring. The new choreographer to me was Angel he was amazing with the kids and we all loved him. Very patient and pumped them up to have fun. The day of the event: the choreography fell apart. It's not Shafik's fault or the choreographers it was the kids. They we messed up. It was bad and oh well it is what it is. Before the event: Shafik arrived on time to the venue. I was late due to traffic. He was tough and spoke rough to them. I allowed it, I thought it was good for them to get some tough love. Did I mention that we rented a chambelan? My daughters friends were unreliable and cancelled several times leaving me no choice but to rent one. One complaint I had and my fault for not saying anything but the kid did not want to be there nor he cared for the choreography. He cared more for hooking up with one of the damas. Yep! That was not good. The kid was on time to the quince day and spent the entire day with the court and got along with them as well. We also rented a party bus: the ac was not strong melted my daughters makeup off. But the kids did have fun in it. Bus was on time. Shafik was the MC and he did well and looked sharp during my event. The Robot was a huge hit during the hora loca. Overall I would book again with Shafik. Thank you Shafik and team! read more

Where do I begin! We booked Shafik and his team back in 2019 for a 2020 Quince. But of course due to COVID had to postpone twice. Shafik and Annette were amazing in being patient with postponing twice. Finally we were able to celebrate my daughters 15 plus 1 aka Sweet Sixteen now. Let me say professionalism at its best. My daughter and her chambelanes enjoyed and looked forward to every practice they had. Annette and her choreography was amazing. Shafik and his professionalism what can I say amazing as well. I can go on and on. We were extremely happy with this dance company and Shafik and his team. The father daughter dance is a memory I will forever have. They made this dance unforgettable. The surprise dance and waltz amazing and also unforgettable. What makes things better and easier is that Shafik has a full team. This person deserves ZERO stars if that were possible here. First of all, BEWARE of this person. He is unprofessional, is out for your money and will take years to pay you back. He's full of shitty excuses and will not reply to your texts until days later. Im sharing my experience so that you can know how I was treated by him. He caused me alot of emotional stress. Let's go back to February 2020. I was planning my daughters sweet 16 party and we decided to go to him. He gave us the whole run down, the package prices and the whole spill. Sounded so good, and then he said if we paid him in full that day, he would give us a discount. Instead of paying the $1,500 for the package, we paid $1,350. Come March 2020 we hit a pandemic, everything was closing and we had to postpone. I told Shafik we would postpone until everything was better. December 2020, my family and myself catch Covid and sadly I lost my mom to Covid on January 2, 2021. I decided to cancel the party completely and I asked Shafik to please refund me the money. He then said that if I decided to get a refund it would only be 10% of what I paid. 10% !! He didn't care that I had lost my mom. I was forced to just postponed his services and just use them for whatever future event I had. Finally decided to make use of my money that Shafik had for my daughter's HS graduation. I decided to throw a small party for her and get the photobooth. I would end up losing money in the long run because the photobooth wasn't worth $1,350. I still went with it. Day of the party came around and he was running late. I texted him and he said his team should have been there. Texted him again after a few hours of no show and he finally said, if they don't show up in the next 30 minutes I'm going to refund you. They never showed up and I was now embarking on a journey to get my refund from this man. It took him from June 18,2022 until July 30, 2022 for him to refund me $1,350. At some point he wanted to keep 25% and thats when I had enough and told him I would take him to court for all the emotional distress he has caused me all these years. He finally decides to pay me everything and even threw in a free facial ....God knows from where. This man is just out to get your money and will take forever to refund you because he probably thinks you'll forget or not pursue it and give up. Not me. I'm still very upset at how he handled everything. read more

We had to scramble for a new emergency choreographer because our current one went completely MIA weeks before the actual quince! She took our deposit and only did a couple practices. I highly recommend his studio and entrusted his instructors and everything went smooth We actually ran into another family in Shafik's studio that went through the same person that went ghost on us too. ***Please be aware of a choreographer named Aranza Michelle Gurrola. She does quince dance work and has been disappearing on customers and taking their money. She lives in South Gate. Unfortunately I have to give 1 star to be able to do my review, if I could it would be 0 stars. Where do I start? Shafik is rude, inconsistent, unreliable, and very unprofessional. He yelled at the kids during the last practice. Mind you that was the first time meeting them. He made last minute changes and confused them 3 days before my event. On the day of the event the MC forgot to give out the 25 lights that were part of the package and the kids were not given the petals they were suppose to throw during the waltz. He also left his possibly 12 year old son in charge as he said he had another event. For all the money he charges he should be able to hire a reliable adult. I shared with him that I didn't receive the light or petals and he said he would give me a refund, until Wednesday. Really? The refund was only of $35 by the way, not sure why I couldn't receive the refund the same day. I also asked him to take my daughter's picture off of Instagram as I never signed a contract that gave any permission to do so. He took it off and decided to block me. He needs to stop being childish. Also, I rented a party bus which was dirty and had no drinks, when I shared with him that he didn't provide at least water he stated my comment was out of line and that we were in a middle of a pandemic. Ummm I think I know that hence there is no social distancing in the bus, besides water is very inexpensive and if he would of shared that with me before I wouldn't of had a problem bringing my own drinks. One last thing his MC expected a VIP parking and did not want to cross the street. He takes forever to respond to text messages and states he is busy then perhaps he should hire an assistant, however when he charges you is quick to send a message early in the morning with quick replies. Had I known all of this was going to turn out this way I would of definitely taken my money elsewhere. read more

He provided everything we were looking for and more. After a bad experience with a "choreographer" who left us with an unfinished Waltz and no surprise dance just 2 weeks before our event, we had confidence that S&S would make things happen and they did! In just those 2 weeks they cleaned up the entrance and waltz and created an entire choreography for the surprise dance-- everyone LOVED it and the kids were always so excited to practice at the studio.
