First let me start off your not going to find a more stand up honest arborist than Garrett. When we got our house part of the selling point was the great yard and the trees! Sadly due to poor planning and placement of our trees most ended up dying, becoming a hazard with them being so big and being so close to the house. My husband had gotten some pricing from tree people (I use this term because not one of them was as detailed as Garrett with the state of our trees and his honest opinion) they said take out this tree, trim this one back. We didn't know what to do, most of their estimates didn't involve all the rest of what we needed done. Tired of all the mess we wanted them all gone. Garrett came looked at our trees and told us, I could take out all your trees but I really don't think you want to do that and went over how removing the dead trees would help the other ones become healthy and fill out, provide shade and that the esthetics would be there. I appreciate him taking the time to educate us on our trees and I am loving the result. They took out 7 trees, not little ones great big dead red woods. Garrett and his crew did exactly what they said they would. Showed up when he said he would and took as long as he said it would. I wasn't expecting him to be the one out there doing it, but that just tells me he's hard working and knows what he's talking about!! Garrett is fantastic. We lost a limb from a favorite tree in our backyard and got some ridiculous estimates to remove just the limb. We were about to try and cut it down ourselves with a ladder and chainsaw (bad idea - go to youtube and look up idiots with chainsaws in trees) but Garrett came by, patiently explained to me why our approach was risky and offered me a great price. Turns out, he trimmed back the entire tree making it much safer for us. Garrett and his company are true professionals. The work was done quickly, safely and we could not be more happy with the result. Garrett is our go-to Arborist for all our trees now. I could not be more happy with his service and knowledge. I live in a small rural community with dense foliage and a high fire danger. Cal Fire has 100 ft clearance guidelines and my property was not in compliance and long overdue for work. The owner Garrett Crowl was quick to respond to my call and arrived promptly to provide a bid. After spending a great deal of time with me and demonstrating a wealth of knowledge about trees, Garrett provided a competitive bid. I was surprised to learn I didn't need to "clear cut" my land and some of my beautiful trees could remain with much of the undergrowth cleared out. I was expecting to have to remove many trees and the price would be astronomical, but Garrett explained that was not necessary as long as it was thinned properly. Garrett and his crew climbed and safely removed six trees, making space for the others to flourish. They chipped and removed all the slash, cleaning my property to the point you would never have known they were there. Garrett was very friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I had many questions about the overall health of a few of the trees on my property. Not only did he identify each individual one for me, he gave me an honest assessment of their current condition, as well as their possible condition after some general work. He also was very honest in how his pricing laid out according to each particular job needing to be done. Not only were we both on the same page as to what needed to be done by the end of the consult, but there was absolutely no confusion as to what was needed four days later when his crew arrived. All of them were very polite and professional as well. I ended up getting six trees pruned, three trees removed, and a whole lot of hedge trimming done! When everything was done, they cleaned up so well, there was no telling that there had been a whole crew there all day. Garrett was subcontracted to come out and remove a stump in our backyard. After arriving at the job site, he said his machine that he brough was too big to get into our backyard so he left stating that he and the other tree contractor would figure something out (get a smaller machine) or get someone else to come out to remove the stump. Later that day I received a call from the other person stating that we needed to find someone else to come do the job because they couldn't help us.
