Paul and his team did a professional job setting up, cutting/trimming, and cleaning up. PTTC took extra care to mark off/protect any landscaping lights and watering heads at the start (1st time I've seen this!). Paul skillfully climbed and cut/trimmed my tall sycamore and pruned/shaped the tall tallow. Thanks Paul and team! read more

Paul came over and gave me an estimate that was very reasonable. He was able to get to it within 2 weeks, he texted me the day prior and showed up with the crew at 8:00 sharp. The Sycamore tree was probably 75' high with cables down below (including PG&E), a fence and deck to maneuver around. No damage or complaining and completely finished in 1 day. I highly recommend Paul. A perfect transaction with someone I have never met. Pretty rare these days! read more

Paul The Tree Climber - Tree Services Near Me

Paul the Tree Climber impressed us with his finesse, clearing branches over my steep roof without dislodging a single shingle, and removing a pair of oaks coming up through the middle of my deck project without leaving any sign he was there at all. No mess, no fuss! Right on schedule too. 5 stars from this happy customer! read more

I couldn't be happier with the job Paul and his crew did for us today removing a liquid amber tree that produces those seemingly never ending "spike balls" that get stuck in every crevice of the driveway, jam up the lawnmower and are very painful if you happen to step on one. The tree also blocked the view of our house from the street. I had to get HOA approval first but once I did I called Paul. I didn't know what to expect as I've never had someone take a tree down for me before. I was a bit worried because of the road being close by and dropping it in the wrong way would not be good. There was no need to worry as these guys were true professionals and dropped the tree exactly where they wanted to ran it through their chipper and cleaned up the mess like it was never there. I would definitely recommend Paul the tree climber. read more

Highly recommend! I called 4 services. He was the only one to respond. Came to our home to give us an estimate. Wow! He was thousands of $ lower. Also, they showed up on time! We needed a 30' juniper removed that was leaning on our new home. Plus other shrubs and small trees removed. Our yard looks amazing and fresh. Crew of 3 other men, large professional equipment and they wore hard hats! read more

Paul was the only person that actually showed up! He was on time and he did the job earlier than he said that he could. He dropped 2 90' digger pines on the side of the hill next to my house!! I called several people to give me bids and they were actually in my home town and they never showed up or called. Paul and his crew were very fast at dropping them down for us. read more

I was so impressed with Paul's great service and including his crew. Paul did a great job with the 2 trees he trimmed, they were too close to the roof. What a professional! Thank you Paul. read more

I contacted Paul the Tree Climber to have three trees removed. He was responsive to messages and showed up for an estimate which was inline with what I was expecting to pay, Paul and two others came out and removed the trees being careful not to hurt other plants in my landscape that were below the trees. The trees were removed along with some branches off another tree at my request. When they took off I was pleasantly surprised to see they had blown off not just the tree debris but my entire 100 ft driveway and a patio. I recommend Paul the Tree Climber and would use them again in the futire. read more

I had Paul & crew out to clean up a large oak (including removing a large limb) & trim a liquid amber tree. They did a fantastic job & cleaned up all the debris the job left behind. I have already referred them out to friends! Great job guys! read more

This is the third time we have had Paul, The Tree Climber come out to remove some trees. He and his crew work so well together. They have always been punctual and they get right to the job at hand. For a few years we had used another tree company and we thought they did a pretty good job until there was some damage done to a couple of our concrete walkways when a huge diseased redwood had to come down. I truly do not know if the damage could have been avoided but I did decide to check out some other companies when we needed more work done. Paul, The Tree Climber was one of those companies. Paul came in with the best estimate and we decided to give him a try and we are glad we did. He and his crew did a much better job than our previous company so we now contact him when we need work done. Paul also takes safety very seriously which I did not see with our previous tree company. We will continue to call Paul when the need arises. Also....they do a GREAT job with clean up. read more

Cleaned up a couple overgrown trees. Efficient, stands behind his work, and left us extra chips to boot

Paul the Tree Climber, with surgical precision, removed an Oak that grew right between two delicate Japanese Maples, and did so without breaking a branch of either! He took down other trees and limbs on my property, increased fire clearance around the roof, even blew the leaves off my roof, and left everything clean and tidy and no damage anywhere. What a contrast to prevous tree cutting companies! His brother Steven works with him, and believe me, they are a dynamic duo. Smart, fast, careful, and reasonably priced!! What can I say more? I am a very happy customer! Call these guys! read more

I am so pleased with Paul the Tree Climber's service! I called 8 different tree services in our area looking for estimates, and Paul is the only one that I didn't go right to voicemail when I called. He was willing and able to meet up for a free consultation the same day I called, and was able to fit in my requested job the very next week. I was able to communicate with Paul via, phone or email, to both of which Paul was very responsive. Both his estimate and invoice came via email (yay for less papers floating around!). I didn't have to stand around and watch Paul and his guys work, they came did the requested job and left, leaving no mess behind themselves. I would highly recommend them, and I plan on using them for a future job I have planned. read more

HIGHLY recommend Paul & his crew! I had them out to remove a large palm tree that had died that was right next to my house. From the estimate visit through to the very end they were professional, friendly and made the entire process a breeze. Pricing was incredibly reasonable and the work they did was great. Another huge bonus - Paul's communication is amazing - calls back quickly, has invoices and receipts emailed in the blink of an eye, and they were on time and dove right in on the day of the job. If you need any tree work done - Paul and his crew are your guys! read more

So this guy asked me to take down a review in return he would help me with my tree for free. I did this and it would have been great if he hadn't been complaining the entire time he was doing it.... you make have tried to fix the problem but you still have horrible customer service. Yeah I did not pay, I was going to tip. but to still feel like dirt and lesser than you after you guys leave my house? I don't think that's the point of making something right. read more

Paul's crew showed up on time and did an incredible job trimming large branches near our house, clearing an area on our property of dead and falling small trees, and taking away dead branches on our pine trees. I am very pleased at how this 3 man crew worked hard, chipped everything and cleaned up nicely. They were friendly, respectful, and wanted us to be happy with their work. We are very happy with their work! We feel much safer, and would not hesitate to call on them again, or recommend them to everyone. Thanks Sean, Steve, and Zach! read more

Reasonably priced, did a fantastic job trimming and removing trees, and cleaned up after. Would definitely use again.

I called Paul to get an estimate on removing an Oak Tree near my house.  A different Arborist had previously stopped by my house and told me that the Oak Tree was dead and would need to be removed immediately since it stood over my house and power lines.  Paul made an appointment for the next day at noon, even though I lived about 30 minutes from the area he usually serviced.   The morning of the appointment Paul called me to let me know he was about 30 minutes away and arrived just before noon, which was exactly as he had promised.  Paul inspected the Oak Tree that I was concerned about.  Paul informed me that the Oak Tree did not appear to be dead, and pointed out that the tree was not falling apart or shedding bark like it would if it was dead.  Paul advised me to wait until spring then re-evaluate the removal based on its appearance.  I was pleasantly surprised that Paul had my best interests in mind, even though he could have made money from removal of the Oak Tree.  At my request, Paul inspected four other trees on my property that I was considering removing, and one that needed to be trimmed since it was near my neighbors roof.  Paul gave me an estimate which was very competitive and was actually a little lower than I had anticipated.   The whole time I spoke with Paul he was professional and there was absolutely no pressure or "Scare tactics" as I had experienced with other similar services in the past.  Even though I told Paul he didn't have to prepare a written estimate because I could remember the price, about 10 minutes after Paul left I received an itemized estimate by e-mail. Overall it was a great experience and I was impressed by Paul's thoroughness and professionalism. read more

Paul did a great job trimming 3 oak trees on our property in Auburn. He was very quick to respond to a request for an estimate, and easy to communicate with regarding scheduling. Paul cut down a large 30" fir that was on a hill with a serious lean towards our home. As the tree was leaning over a hand built rock retaining wall it required all the limbs and main trunk to be dropped by rope to not damage our wall. A 3 man crew including Paul did the work in one day with no damage to the wall. His crew was extremely professional and gave us confidence right from the start the work would be done right. Reasonable rates and great communication throughout.. read more

Paul the Tree Climber did a fantastic job on the very large oak tree that grows over my house. We were upset that our insurance company insisted that the tree needed to be trimmed. It was magnificent to begin with and we were concerned about what it would look like after it was trimmed. The crew showed up on time, moved all the potted plants and outdoor furniture that was at risk of damage (and put everything back exactly where it came from), worked very quickly & efficiently and shaped the tree beautifully to 20 - 25' above the roof. Then, they cleaned up everything on the ground thoroughly . And, they left us a tidy pile of oak firewood. We greatly appreciate their efforts in regard to our aesthetic concerns. Highly recommended! read more

Paul and his crew truly deserve a 5+ Star Review. These guys are very professional and can perform miraculous work. I was very surprised and impressed at how accurate these guys could remove extremely large Oak Trees and large limbs which were overhanging a home. Paul and his crew are also very courteous and, cleared up all the branches and leaves, using a very powerful wood chipper. My place was left cleaner than it was when they got there and had also cut up all the large limbs and trunks into fireplace size logs. They know there STUFF.. Thanks to Paul and his crew. read more

I hired Paul for removal of two trees and pruning of several others at my house. All work was completed on schedule and on budget. The crew was able to take out the large trees from a tight space (encumbered by a storage shed, fence, and other landscaping) with zero peripheral damage - very impressive! Good job of cleanup following the project. I would definitely hire Paul again for future tree work. read more
