We had a large project with many trees removed both in the open and between houses. They were cautious and careful to work around existing plumbing and sprinklers so we didn't have any issues. My Dad convinced me to get a minimum of three estimates for whatever job I needed. I had trouble getting in touch with other Arborists, but David Powell was right there, when I needed him. After interviewing him I determined he had the same mindset as I do (regarding trees, anyway). I have two blue oak heritage trees that began leaning. I was afraid I would have to remove them, before they fell over and took part of my house with them. David said he would NEVER cut one of these threes (they are 300 to 500 years old). He described the service he would perform, patiently explained how it would enhance the quality of the tree's life and gave me instructions for how to care for the trees going forward. David is personable while being professional. He is a really nice man AND seemed to be a well informed arborist. I went with my gut and hired him. He and his crew worked SO HARD. There were no "slouchers" on this crew. They did a GREAT JOB; were efficient and expedient. They arrived at the appointed time and didn't stop working until the job was done. The service included clean up and the trimmings were cut into firewood for us. I rarely give a "perfect score" when reviewing anything. These five stars were earned. I am amazed and relieved that Powell Arbor Solutions responded as quickly and effectively as they did in this crazy weather. I had two very large trees leaning over the road to my property, erosion of dirt washed away from the rain causing the trees to lean and it was becoming a big concern. One especially because it had to be 20+ tall. It wasn't just the road being blocked or fences being damaged, I knew if these trees fell on a car someone would be injured or worse. Powell came out and safely downed both of these trees safely, left no mess, in less than two hours! I was able to sleep again. Thank you so much. Powell Arbor did a nice job taking down the trees, but only took part of the wood with them when the quote was for all of the debris to go. They did come back and get a little more, but left 3 large piles behind. I emailed and finally got a response 4 weeks later saying they can only pick up the remaining wood if my neighbor's allow them to access their property. My neighbor's did not want that, so Powell said that I will be charged even more to have the job completed (or would do it for "free" if they could access the neighbor's property) I had already paid in full (my mistake) and apparently, there are no refunds for unfinished work. I have found another company to finish up the work Powell Arbor did not. read more

They did a huge three day job for me on a property with madrones, cedars, oaks, cherry trees, and pine. David was thorough and friendly from start to finish. His price was reasonable and the fact that he went up and beyond was much appreciated. It was a big job over the course of a day and a half. He did exactly what he said they would do, and then some. The clean up was great. The receptivity to even a couple of revisions we needed was nice as well. Even after the job was complete he helped me take care of a young Hedge Maple that wasn't even on the estimate. He and the whole crew were just very friendly and thoughtful throughout. I will definitely be going to their service in the future. Moreover, I appreciate people who love what they do. And David apparently competes in tree climbing events, even refs sometimes. David Powell and his crew--Powell Arbor Solutions--just finished taking down and disposing of 20 dead and dying Ponderosa pines on our property. His crew is very professional and competent and he was able to schedule us in almost immediately. The job was technically difficult--steep terrain, limited access, and a number of very large trees, but they did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. David is very easy to talk to and very willing to accommodate our desires and I was completely pleased with the finished product. By far the best arborist in the area! We got multiple bids and they were the cheapest. I didn't know the difference between an arborist and a tree climber. I am never going to use a tree climber again. They were able to come quickly to do the job as I had tree that started to lean towards the house. Dave Powell has done several tree removal jobs at my property and in comparison with a couple of other tree services I've used, Mr. Powell has been outstanding. A landscaper had cut down some very large trees (kicking myself: should have had Dave do it!) but left all of the wood piled in heaps around the property. It was an unsightly fire hazard, but the slope and restricted access to the logs made them hard to get rid of. No problem for Dave! He cleaned up all the big pieces and cut up a huge dead oak, all in one day. Dave knows how to get it done! read more
