As soon as they started digging, I could tell these guys were experienced professionals. They dug the holes properly, mixed the native soil with planting soil, added gypsum, and carefully planted and staked the trees--some of them over 8 feet tall. They worked efficiently, carefully, and professionally throughout the entire job. The real test came during the following weeks, when Roseville experienced triple-digit temperatures day after day. Of course, I made sure the trees were properly watered, but I'm very pleased to say that all eleven trees have done extremely well. Two months later, they are healthy and thriving despite the intense summer heat.
