Andrea is my first and only selection for makeup artistry and hair. I've relied on her for any and every special occasion I can remember- from Christmas parties to baby showers. She always makes me feel beautiful! She cares deeply about the quality of her work and its evidenced in her results. She has taken the time and attention to get to know my style preferences and even particulars about changes in my skin over the years, so working with her is a very personalized experience. She is always communicative, punctual, professional. I'm almost reluctant to write this review because I don't want her calender to book up and not have room for me anymore!! But believe me, you need her in your life. She is a lovely person and amazing artist. read more

I've heard many people say that the first "vendor" you will see on your wedding day is the MU&H team, so choose them wisely. That being said, I'm so glad that we had the privilege of working with Andrea for our wedding. Right when she opened the door for our trial, I immediately knew that we'd be working together. She exuded professionalism, confidence, and during the course of our trial, she demonstrated her expertise. I remember reaching out to her on FRIDAY NIGHT about our wedding (expecting to hear back from her on Monday), and she actually got back to me that same evening. That speaks volumes for her work ethic and dedication to her clients. On the day of the wedding, her team all came early, and ready. Andrea did my bridal MU&H and I could not be more pleased - check out her Instagram to see her portfolio. For future brides, I highly recommend Andrea! Sign that contract and you won't regret it! read more

Andrea and her team did my bridal party of 13. She came to the venue which was super convenient. Everyone absolutely loved their makeup and loved Andrea. The girls were so nice, accommodating, and quick. Also, the makeup stayed on all night and did not smudge or streak when we cried or sweat. We absolutely love her and her team and definitely recommend her for your next wedding! read more

Andrea is an amazing hair stylist! Not only did my hair look good, but so did all my bridesmaids. She worked so quickly and we even finished early which is unheard of when it comes to wedding hair. I've been in so many weddings and hair is never finished on time let alone early. She made sure everyone looked perfect and if she didn't like something, she took the time to redo it until she liked it. I would highly recommend Andrea for your next hair stylist need!! read more

Andrea was absolutely incredible! I was very stressed leading up to my wedding reception, but she eased all of my worries. I showed her a photo of a look she did with one of her previous clients from her Instagram page and not only did she do exactly what I wanted, but it turned out better than expected. I wanted a low bun hairstyle and soft glam/natural look (ill attach a photo). She made me feel so beautiful! I looked at myself in the mirror and I couldn't believe how much volume and curls she did with me super straight flat hair. Ok you guys, Andrea is magic! She is one of the most talented hair and makeup artist I've ever come across! She and her team did the hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and me on my wedding day! Everyone looked amazing! My makeup stayed on PERFECTLY all day and night despite a warm day and a lot of dancing. My hair stayed in place and looked natural (my hair is naturally curly and I wanted a smooth beach wave curl... which with the humidity and ocean breeze is hard to accomplish!). Would 100% recommend Andrea and her team if you want to look your best!! read more

Unique and Flawless - Beautiful bridal makeup by Andrea - Hair Stylists Near Me

I got married last Sunday and four days before my wedding my HMUA flaked out on me, I went in to panic mode. Got online and started reading reviews and looking at before and after photos. Unique and Flawless stood out because of how many amazing reviews Andrea had and more importantly her photos showed her talent. I'm an older bride, 45 and then some lol, so I need more help than the 24 year old naturally gorgeous bride with already flawless skin haha. I messaged her for a long shot that she'd even be available on such short notice and she called me within 20 minutes. We talked for a few minutes and all of that panic dissipated, she's the kindest and hardest working woman and she assured me that even though she had three other commitments that weekend she would make it happen because every bride deserves to feel beautiful on her wedding day and does not need any extra stress, so I booked her then and there without a trial. Her and Terri showed up early and set up in our bridal salon and got to work. It's incredible how quickly they work and the magic they do! They started with my bridesmaids and then got to me last so my makeup and hair was as fresh as it could be before the ceremony. It wasn't super hot but it was definitely warm out. I was worried about looking old in the sun and my makeup sweating off, but it didn't. Even after all my crying it stayed put beautifully! My hair looked so pretty and my girls all looked amazing too! Andrea even did my MIL's makeup and she looked stunning. Gotta love that airbrush makeup, it did wonders for all of us! I didn't realize how important having a PROFESSIONAL HMUA was until it was almost too late. I couldn't fathom spending the money for someone else to do my makeup but paid big bucks for a photographer when it dawned on me, what if I look all sweaty and blotchy in all of my wedding photos lol can't have that! I learned a valuable lesson, when it's your big day, feeling beautiful makes you shine the whole day and night through and that is PRICELESS!!! Andrea doesn't even charge as much as some others and I'm so grateful I chose her because she's an absolute professional and loves what she does and it shows in her personality and her work. I promise you will be happy with Andrea and her team, if you're not then maybe you're not a reasonable person lol. One of her reviews that got me was a bride saying how sad she was to take her make up off at the end of the night because of how beautiful she felt and I totally understood that the night of my wedding too. It's magical how she transforms you into the perfect you, not caked on over the top dramatic you, but the natural as can be with a tad of glamorous perfect for your wedding day you! When my husband saw me for the first time he cried and that was sexy as hell to me. If Andrea can help this old lady look stunning enough for her man to shed tears then she can do it for you too! My daughter is having Andrea do her hair and makeup for her Grad pictures next month because she was so happy with how she looked for the wedding. My MIL said it was the most beautiful she's ever looked. My whole wedding party was happy with their hair and makeup and we can't thank Andrea and Terri enough!! If you're reading reviews to find the right HMUA for you that means you're newly engaged so CONGRATULATIONS!! Take my word for it... you will worry about so many details but the most important one is YOU, so hire Andrea and all the worries about how you will look are gone and you will shine like the precious gem you are. Best investment you will make! p.s. I hated the thought of my before photo going up on her site but I realized it was her before and after photos that sold me, so please forgive how terrible I look haha, thankfully she helped to polish me up. read more

Andrea is such a personable and accommodating hair and make up artist - she truly goes above and beyond. Leading up the wedding she was able to set up a trial for me, utilize a last minute hair piece I bought, recommended a spectacular lip gloss for the day of, and was able to redo my schedule because of so many changes. I was a bit of a needy bride, Andrea was so patient with me and I never felt like I was bothering her despite how busy she is. On my wedding day, we had 11 adult hair & make up, 1 youth, and 2 flower girls. The timing went flawlessly without any hiccups or delays. Her team was professional, but still so fun and sweet! Every person loved their hair and make up. I have coarse, thicker hair and I was worried it would not stay in an updo, however, my hair AND make up lasted from 12PM to 11PM! I felt so beautiful on my special day and my hair & make up turned out better than I could have expected. I highly recommend Unique & Flawless/ Andrea & her team. You will not regret hiring her for your hair and make up needs! read more

First let me say that I have now engaged Andrea three times! Twice for headshots and the third for a charity event. Every time, she has been an absolute professional! Andrea's expertise and passion for what she does is apparent. She explains what she is doing and why (i.e. why using false lashes is great for headshots, they make your eyes "pop") and that photography "washes" you out, so you need to have the makeup a little darker - although in the pictures, you wouldn't notice as she did such a great job of enhancing the natural look I was going for! Andrea had another client prior to me and as she readied for me, I saw her sanitizing everything - she is very good about making sure that she takes care of each and every client! Lastly, for the less than perfect reviews that have been posted here before - let me just say I find it interesting that neither of the other reviewers have posted reviews of a positive nature for other stores or have they had more than 3 max reviews. People who use Yelp as just an outlet for negativity are missing the point. It's for both - giving constructive feedback to organizations/owners who need it as well as for providing kudos to those who provide amazing customer service and go above and beyond - like Andrea! read more

I know this review is so overdue, but I told myself I have to do it no matter what because Andrea is that great! My wedding was on 11/24/2018. One of my best friends recommended Andrea to me, and I immediately made an appointment for a makeup trial. She was so sweet, friendly, and so patient with my requests. She knew exactly what would work the best on me, but she still let me try what I wanted to try first, and after I tried, yes, she was right! On the wedding, she was so professional, showed up ahead of schedule, and she made me feel stress free! I would give her 10 starts if there was an option! I highly recommend her!!! read more

I had a great experience with Andrea and her team on my wedding day. They were able to get through all 7 bridesmaids and myself in 4 1/2 hours which left plenty of time for pictures prior to the ceremony. Andrea is AMAZING at what she does and you can tell she truly enjoys it and takes a lot of pride in her work. I was especially impressed with how she did one of my bridesmaids hair, which was the old fashioned style waves that are NOT easy to do. She said she had worked on perfecting that hairstyle for a year, so I love that she puts in the time to really expand on her craft. Highly recommend her and her team. read more

Andrea is truly an amazing makeup artist and person! She did such a flawless job with doing my makeup/hair both at the trial and my wedding. I had her do the makeup/hair for myself and my 6 bridesmaids and each and every one turned out beautiful. My bridesmaids all had very different complexions and styles and everyone was happy in the end. Her prices were fair and considering how great her work was they were incredible! Not to mention, that she did such a great job without taking ALL day! It took about 30min per person for makeup and 30-45min for hair. This was a must so none of the girls were too antsy while having their makeup/hair done. I am so happy that I we had Andrea for my wedding and will now have amazing pictures to look back on for the rest of our lives. Thank you!! read more

Andrea and her entire team of hair and makeup professionals are reliable, do beautiful work and are pleasurable to be around. Andrea is my favorite make-up and hair stylist. She did a wonderful job for my wedding exactly how I wanted it, an up-do with natural make-up back in 2020. I came back to see her for my baby shower make up and hair do last weekend. She did a vintage hair look with bolder make-up, which is exactly what I wanted. She listens to you, offers great tips, and is easily accessible through text. I recommend her to family and friends. She even gave me a small lipstick as a kind gesture to reapply at the event! read more

Andrea is amazing. Plain and simple. She was hired by my sister for hair and make up for her wedding. My sister is SO PICKY it's crazy. She absolutely LOVED her hairstyle for the trial, and was finally at peace knowing she was going to have the look she wanted. She had used a previous company for a trial and was not happy, so U&F was a lifesaver for such short notice. My sis is very critical and will have a certain image in her mind, and luckily Andrea nailed it (thank god is more like it). The day of the wedding comes and it's such a calm, easy day. Everything my sister had for the trial translated to the wedding day (AGAIN, THANK YOU). For a bride, the day of is already hectic, stressing about hair and makeup is not something you want. Andrea is very knowledgeable when it comes to hair, textures, and what will work for you. I've never had my make up done by a professional, and I explained I'm not into heavy makeup, and she listened. It was enough to notice a difference for pictures, but it wasn't heavily caked on. I saw when she was doing my sister's hair, she was referring back to pictures she took of the trial to ensure it was spot on. LOVE IT. She knew a lot about make up as well- for instance, I tend to wear eyeliner on my lower lid, and this makes my eyes look smaller. She knows her stuff. Came on time, was very sweet (oh my gosh I love your accent haha), and was professional. We talked a lot about business practices, and you can tell she takes such joy and pride in U&F, and of course I like to see that. People tend to forget about customer service, and you can tell she genuinely wants her client to be over the moon happy with their look, and she'll do whatever it takes to make that happen. If I could give you more stars for making my sister's wedding day the best, I would. Hair and makeup was the ONE thing that could have spiraled her day downhill, and you were a bad ass. Thank you again for making her day absolutely perfect and special, you have NO idea how important your work is :) :) read more

I found her on social media and somehow her works attracts me and made me to trust her for my special day. So nervous in the beginning but so excited with the result. I felt so sad when I had to removed the make up at the end of the day. Totally recommend her. She uses airbrush and the result was perfect. Felt so light and don't look fake at all. So natural just like how I liked it. My husband is not a fan of make up and fake stuff. He even loveees the result. He said just to call Andrea again whenever I needed her. Wow.. no regret. ANDREA IS A MAGICIAN!!! Words can't even express how pleased I was with Andreas hair and makeup services for my wedding!! I contacted so many vendors in the San Diego area and a lot of them were way out of my price range. When I contacted Andrea I couldn't believe how reasonable and affordable her prices were especially after seeing the GORGEOUS work on her Instagram page. I would totally recommend a hair and makeup trial for every bride. Andrea does a great job at listening to what you want and makes sure that she goes above and beyond what you are looking for! At our trial she had the chance to see what skin type I had and was able to customize her products for my extra dry skin on my wedding day. A big plus for me is that she is very clean! She uses clean brushes on every client, has lots of disposables, and does not "double dip" Andrea is VERY professional, personable, and fun! I was looking for someone to do my makeup within a 6 days notice! Luckily I found Andrea on Instagram from the moment I saw her work I loved it! I called her right away and she was able to add me to do my hair and makeup on Valentine's morning. I was in relief when I found out that she would be able to complete this for me. Since it's hard to find someone on such a short notice. Saturday morning came and I was a little scared because it was in such a short time that I didn't know what to expect. From the minute she opened up the door to her house I felt so welcomed. As soon as she started doing my makeup I felt so relaxed and like she was in total control of everything. I told her that my dress was going to be a royal blue color that way she could work with those colors in the mix. She was so nice and sweet and she spoke Spanish. Now I don't know about you but for me it's that much more important and relieving when you find someone that knows how to speak your native language. It creates such a leisure environment! She told me all the products that she was putting on my face which was always nice to know. She asked me what falsies I wanted and she told me which ones best suited my face. Now I've never had airbrush makeup but I absolutely loved it! It was nice to have a different setting of makeup. I was a little worried because I'm not used to wearing so much makeup! I didn't know what the outcome would be if it would be too much or if I would look too fake. But at the end of all this I fell in love with how she did my make up. It was perfect for the day and it lasted me throughout the whole night even thru the next morning. (I know you are supposed to take off the makeup but after such a long day, party and drinks who has time to take off their makeup especially when you are super exhausted!!) My hair was also beautiful! I asked her for an side up-do and she did exactly what I wanted!!! I got compliments throughout the day of how nice my hair and makeup came out. I am so pleased with Andrea I will definitely be going back to her in the future events! I highly recommend her! :) read more

It was super convenient to work with Andrea as she coordinated the hair and make-up for myself, my bridal party, and the moms. Andrea is very skillful and attentive to what I was requesting regarding hair and make-up. Both Andrea and Roxy (her wedding day hair artist) were very positive and high energy- they kept us on schedule. While Andrea was responsive to text messaging about how I wanted my hair for wedding day, our communication to set up the contract and the wedding day of beauty schedule was unsatisfactory and stressful at times (relative to the better communication I had with other wedding vendors). Andrea arrived a few minutes late due to getting lost on both the trial and the wedding day- but did let us know she was on her way. In the end, we were all pleased with her skills, pricing, and service delivery. read more
