Somehow I had lost my winter hat at a cathedral in Montreal so we were walking around looking for a good hat that wasn't necessarily marked up because it had some brand name or designer logo on it. We saw several overpriced hats at other stores and then ventured into Uniqlo. We don't have one near but but the feel of it was right for what I wanted. We found a reasonably priced hat with their supposed HeatTech technology, and it was very reasonably priced. It served me fine the rest of our time in Canada. OMG this is a bloody amazing store! My mom used to visit her sister in Boston, primarily to go to the Uniqlo store there, and then she'd visit me in Seattle, and then Vancouver when I moved there, and the first thing on her list was always to go to the Uniqlo stores in that city. It's always been a go-to store for her and my dad, as it always has had the BEST basic wardrobe staples - and then some! - in sizing that FITS, and of excellent quality. It was just such a big bummer that my folks had to travel far and wide to get to any of their stores. And they had nightmare experiences, trying to order stuff from their website. It was important for them to actually try on the clothing. So it was great anticipation that we all waited for this store to open up in Montreal! I sent my mom status updates, on the store opening, for months before it opened, and she is just in heaven now that the store is in her city! I visited the store yesterday and even though I had read about it being the flagship Canadian store and all its features, I was still blown away by it. It is gorgeous! Huge, well laid-out, excellent signage, clean, open, spanning two levels. With all the excellent clothing for men, women and kids that they are known for. They have always had excellent sales, and right now, they are selling their winter jackets for a steal (and they are known for their winter jackets, along with base layers/thermal "Heat" layers). In fact, a lot of their winter gear is on sale right now, and they have an enormous selection of everything. So if you're in the market for cold weather clothing, you need to get there ASAP. All Uniqlo offer free hemming of their pants if they are too long on you (I've used this free feature a few times in their Seattle store. It was great!). I've gotten lots of clothes here and they've all withstood years of hard wear, so I'm a big fan. And now with this new, jazzy store, Montreal, you got it made! read more

Date of visit: June 13, 2023 We've had some good luck with Uniqlo locations in other cities, though none of them have been as good as the Disney Springs location near Orlando. This outlet continues our steak of lackluster locations outside of Florida. There wasn't much here that was very interesting or at the prices that I have come to associate with Uniqlo, even after taking the Canadian exchange rate into account. The store was fairly well-kept and staff was a mix of friendly and could not care less, which is pretty standard in retail these days, just disappointed that there wasn't much here that floated my boat. read more

Great selection of clothes as well as some great pieces for the home. Came here for a warm jacket and blazer. Walked out with both and some cool Basquiat and Andy Warhol cups and saucers. Love this store!!! Can't wait to come back to see what else they have. read more

After many years of having to buy my uniqlo outside montreal, I cannot tell you how excited I was to finally have a store close by. I went on opening day around 11:30am and the line up was already long. I got my time card for 12:30 but I opted for 1:30 because I was waiting for a friend. They were nice enough to let me have a later card and take an extra one for my friend! Got in line at around 1:15 and was inside the store at 1:25. My temperature was taken and I was given a basket. You can stay as long as you want inside the store. It's beautiful and enormous. You can easily spend 2 hours browsing and trying on. As for the procedures to shop now that it's open; you line up inside the mall and it goes by pretty quickly. I've never waited more than 30 minutes to get inside. And even though the lines to pay are long, they go by fast. I do think both cash areas are quite small though. At least they have plexiglass in between every customer. You still get your temperature taken and you take a basket to shop. Staff has been so kind every time I visit. They smile at you and welcome you to the store. The exit is no longer on the second floor near the graphic tees, it's next to the entrance. I'm over the moon that this location opened!! read more

After being open for about a year now, the crowds really have died down - do not hesitate to check it out, unlike previous reviews, there are no waits and no issues with shopping in person. Located in the Eaton Center, or former Complexe des Ailes, this store is spacious, has a lot of selection and offers great quality clothes that are perfect to build basics for your wardrobe. Contrary to fast fashion giants like H&M that make cheap items, the quality at Uniqlo is unmatched - it's truly worth noting, the fabrics are thick and well constructed to last years. The price point is average, some items regularly go on sale, others can seem a bit high considering how "plain" some of the styles are in my opinion. Much of their selection is actually unisex, and branded that way. The clothing isn't particularly flashy or edgy, they're ideal basics for the whole family - I particularly like the sweat pants, blouses, sweaters and tshirts. If you are a fan of cutesy cartoons/drawings/popular media, you may be happy to know that Uniqlo often has special edition merchandise. For example, they've had numerous Disney prints as part of their adult collection, Winnie the Pooh, Snoopy, and Hello Kitty/Sanrio characters.. etc. As with many Asian brands, sizing can run small, I would recommend sizing up. Download their mobile app, they often have promotions and sign up bonuses. I obtained a free thermal base layer shirt just for downloading it, then got a $5 off coupon as well. read more

One of the larger UNIQLOs that I've been to! They have several entrances - two within the Eaton Centre and one that leads outside to Saint-Catherine. They have a wide selection of clothes, and an additional section for their famous graphic tees. The store is two levels like many of their other Canadian locations, but I actually was unable to find anyone to help me figure out where things were. It was fairly busy, though, so that's probably why, but I'm usually able to find someone pretty quickly in other locations I've been to (in Ontario). read more

OK, decided to brave the crowds, went to the grand opening yesterday. What a circus! People lined all around the block, could not get in without an appointment card, got one for 6 PM, (I was at the door at 4), lots of people clamouring for a card, while more joined the already very long line-up outside. When I came back for 6, the line outside was still snaked down R. 9 Bourassa, more people arriving to take their spot. Lots 8 of staff outside directing customer traffic, I informed a clerk I had a 6 PM "appointment", she in turn directed me to another line, outside the front entrance, where more people were trying to score an appointment card, or simply just walk in... No dice, security was pretty tight. Upon my entrance, I had to of course disinfect my hands, and wow, a first, in any store, have an electronic heat detector aimed at my forehead...temperature OK. I was then free to roam the store and peruse the merchandise. Hmm, lots of affordable stuff, but not much to recommend.. the stuff looks, dare I say, cheap.. as in Japanese version of H&M. Yes, you can get a cashmere sweater for $109.00, but it's hardly what could be called cashmere. If you're after the stuff, you'd do well to simply save your super fancy latté money and buy the real deal. The extra fine merino looked OK, but there isn't much of a colour or style selection, what's with the so many flat, drab, colours throughout the store? Also, don't know how they'd look after a wash or dry clean; the puffer jackets looked OK, but again ditto for the colour selection and the wash/dry clean question. The other woollens selection was a complete pass, the PJs, as well, I heard someone swear by the undies,.. can't say, outerwear, no, kids, maybe, as they grow out of everything so fast, one might be tempted to overlook the quality, but remember, most of discarded clothing ends up in landfills. After browsing the 2 large floors and meandering amongst the crowds, I could not seem to find the exit, which I assumed would be on the main floor; once again, a very helpful clerk, "escorted" me back to the second floor, to the side door in the mall.
