The brand in a few words
Anne-Marie and Catherine are the inseparable friends who founded the atelier b brand in 2009. Their collections of durable and minimalist clothing are gently made in Montreal from natural fibre textiles. From a workshop in their apartment while they were still students to their Mile End workshop-boutique and then their Old Montreal boutique and gallery, the project grew with them. The key values of slow design remained central to each of the decisions made by the two friends.
atelier b is multiplicity, gathering and family.
These are refined, original and authentic collections where the products respect the traditions of textiles and clothing. It is a quiet force that advances softly, slowly but surely, while keeping a sense of play and celebration.

They quickly became close friends and moved in together in 2005 in the hope of sharing a workshop in the basement of their apartment. Slowly, the workshop spread throughout the apartment: no more living room and dining room, piano outside, their beds in the basement while sewing machines, racks and fabric rolls extend into every room. This is where atelier b was born slowly, through projects and contracts, while studies and jobs continued to flow. The project has grown,
