So beware that if you pick up an item from a 10$ area it might be there by mistake and you'll only find out when you come to pay, and they get very aggressive when you try to understand how the system works. What drew me to this place instantly was the yellow exterior, Aboriginal chief logo, and an appealing $10 sign. I had the impression it would be like the Black Market vintage store in Toronto - and it was. Almost all of the items were $10, except for some sweaters that were $25. There was a good selection of cool unisex t-shirts ranging from funny to raunchy, which amused the guys. They also have a nice variety of vintage clothing. There were flowy button-up blouses when you first walked in. Then to the right (in a different room) were plaid shirts, tops, sweaters, sweater vests, and cowboy boots. I found a lovely denim shirt for TEN BUCKS. Overall they are well organized, but I think it's also due to the fact that they don't have very much merchandise. I'd suggest you pop in for a quick peek and see if you fancy anything. It'll be hit or miss, but if you find something it'll definitely be a steal!

I pretty much bought all of their Stay Home Club tops and canvas bags, as well as the Anabel Roy sweaters, as I just love the designs and the quality of the material. Prices are listed at the MSRP, so you won't see any obvious marked up prices on any of the items - yay! I also picked up some greeting cards and stickers that I fell in love with, which were also Montreal-based. They also had a little corner of cute pins that you can decorate your clothes and/or bags with. The staff here were super friendly and were all knowledgeable in terms of the information on the designers. Annex Vintage was definitely one of my favorite shopping stops :D +a great collection of Montreal-based designer clothing +unique Montreal-based greeting cards and stickers +adheres to the MSRP on all of their items +friendly staff

Out of the several boutiques I visited in the area, their selection particularly stood out to me…read more Many of the glassware and earrings were works of art and very different from the re-occurring styles that I had grown used seeing throughout my itinerary of vintage/indie boutiques. For whatever reason, the artists they carried just appealed to me the most - personal aesthetics I guess. I visited some of their websites later and was not surprised to see many of them working in other mediums and having professional portfolios. It's not cheap, but it's worth a look if you're in the area. There were a fair number of accessories and other home goods I could pass on, but the hits are worth the trip again. You can tell the owners spent a lot of time curating their collection thoughtfully. I will definitely be back for more fantastic finds on my next trip to Montreal.

Somehow I had lost my winter hat at a cathedral in Montreal so we were walking around looking for a…read moregood hat that wasn't necessarily marked up because it had some brand name or designer logo on it. We saw several overpriced hats at other stores and then ventured into Uniqlo. We don't have one near but but the feel of it was right for what I wanted. We found a reasonably priced hat with their supposed HeatTech technology, and it was very reasonably priced. It served me fine the rest of our time in Canada. I was surprised it's actually a Japanese brand.

OMG this is a bloody amazing store!…read more My mom used to visit her sister in Boston, primarily to go to the Uniqlo store there, and then she'd visit me in Seattle, and then Vancouver when I moved there, and the first thing on her list was always to go to the Uniqlo stores in that city. It's always been a go-to store for her and my dad, as it always has had the BEST basic wardrobe staples - and then some! - in sizing that FITS, and of excellent quality. It was just such a big bummer that my folks had to travel far and wide to get to any of their stores. And they had nightmare experiences, trying to order stuff from their website. It was important for them to actually try on the clothing. So it was great anticipation that we all waited for this store to open up in Montreal! I sent my mom status updates, on the store opening, for months before it opened, and she is just in heaven now that the store is in her city! I visited the store yesterday and even though I had read about it being the flagship Canadian store and all its features, I was still blown away by it. It is gorgeous! Huge, well laid-out, excellent signage, clean, open, spanning two levels. With all the excellent clothing for men, women and kids that they are known for. They have always had excellent sales, and right now, they are selling their winter jackets for a steal (and they are known for their winter jackets, along with base layers/thermal "Heat" layers). In fact, a lot of their winter gear is on sale right now, and they have an enormous selection of everything. So if you're in the market for cold weather clothing, you need to get there ASAP. All Uniqlo offer free hemming of their pants if they are too long on you (I've used this free feature a few times in their Seattle store. It was great!). I've gotten lots of clothes here and they've all withstood years of hard wear, so I'm a big fan. And now with this new, jazzy store, Montreal, you got it made!

The shoes that DID manage to capture my attention, white Zespas, had a differing price point from another retailer that I knew to carry them. The price at Tozzi was somewhat higher (by 100$). I voiced this matter to the employee, and he said that if that was truly the case with the other retailer, that he would match that price easily. And true to his word, he did lower the price to match the other. I appreciated the act and was impressed by the customer service that he delivered. They truly do aim to please their clients. The ONLY concern that I had with my experience was the excess attention given to me. As a client, I like to breathe and think of my options, so I would have appreciated just a little more space from the employee. I don't particularly enjoy feeling obliged to buy, even though I truly wanted the shoes. Nevertheless, aside from this minute detail, great experience at Tozzi!

There's the usual taxidermy of deer and other antlered species but here you can also find taxidermy of baby chickens- in individual little glass containers! They have an assortment of interesting vintage dresses, clothes and bags, most with a 40s, 50s and early 60s aesthetic. They had a very cool selection of vintage sunglasses.... But wait, what is that taxidermy thing over there.... I would not recommend this store to anyone who is the least bit freaked out by taxidermy, but totally worth a visit if that sort of thing doesn't bother you!
