So we continued looking around the store and when another employee came out to the front, both employees proceeded to talk bad about us. They talked about us in a small store where we were the only customers, we could hear their words loud and clear. Whether this was on purpose or not, I felt disrespected by the workers. I've worked retail before and I understand how frustrating it can be when dealing with customers, but I feel like they should have known better and at least waited until we left.

Just as an example, he traveled to a remote Irish Mill he discovered that was making wool fabrics in a way that impressed him. So he went out there to check out their work and process before bringing their products back for his shop. He worked with me for hours until we got the perfect pants for me. He must have went through a dozen pairs before he got it just right for my body type. The best part was that I never felt like I burden. It felt like he just wanted me to get into a pair of pants that I truly loved. And I ending up walking out with two pairs of pants that I can't wait to wear. I won't buy pants from anyone else.

They also had great smooth cotton graphics tees and my faves were when they'd collaborate with orgs such as the NY Botanical Gardens. Rummaging through the sale sections during off season is usually catch some great cardigans and blazers for the fall and great bandannas and jewelry to add a little razzle dazzle. Nowadays, the prices have risen astronomically. Little stackable earrings are now on average $58 and the clasps are weak and poorly made. One day after purchasing 2 pairs from this store, they're coming apart. Purchase a purse, the leather is trashy. A lot of the classics that myself and half the teachers at my school used to purchase have been removed from the rotation. Super annoying! Madewell, please get back to basics. Thrifting definitely takes time and you have to have the energy to do so in order to dig through racks. However, the prices of thrifting and consignment stores have unfortunately gone up, so I give Beacon's Closet a solid 3.5 stars.
