Very chic and there are a lot of smells to choose from. Being my first timer I had to see if the sample would work for me. So far it's nice but still a bit powdery for me. Most of the events were too powdery and strong. I like bold but more sensual smells. I think Mabey I would need to try again. Service was good as well. Staff seemed knowledgeable about their products. read more

Came in a whim, walking around Brooklyn. Moura was helping another customer and I was helping my sister. When she was done, she quickly started helping us. She was patient and friendly. Let me take my time smelling and deciding if I like the scent or not. I never buy perfumes right away as I like to see how it transforms on my body as the day passes, she never pressured me. But when I'm in town, I'll be sure to come back and buy from her, as she makes great recommendations! read more

Diptyque Brooklyn - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I was walking around to a bunch of the fragrance stores in the area but this was my favorite hands down. I was greeted by Erin and she was honestly the driving force as to why I bought a full bottle. She was so knowledgeable about everything and even told me about how the brand came to be which added to the experience. I landed on Eau Rihla and haven't been able to stop smelling it since. Will absolutely be coming back!! Thank you read more

Had an amazing experience here! Came in, talked with Sloan and she was super helpful in getting me exactly what I wanted. I was asking someone to be our wedding officiant and she helped me come up with what to engrave on the candle, did a mock up and then did it perfectly on the candle, she then wrapped it beautifully in the colors of my choice, gave me a card to write and is shipping it. Overall I was hoping for a good experience and that this would workout but this was even better than I had hoped. Highly recommend. read more

Sam was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It was quiet in there but he greeted us at the door and assessed our every need. He gave such a great client experience. I will make sure to do all my purchases with him on the future! read more

Maura was so wonderful! She gave me amazing customer service. Went in to buy a birthday gift and Maura was so welcoming and insightful. Going into the store I didn't know much about the brand or their products. But, Maura was very informative and I trusted her recommendations. She helped me pick out the right gift at the right price point! Will definitely be back to buy a nice fragrance for myself once I save up a little confetti. Thank you again to Maura for making my experience at Diptyque BK pleasant and enjoyable! She made my day! read more

Great service from Madison. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Made the whole experience at the Diptyque Brooklyn store feel easy and enjoyable. read more

Best Diptyque location in all of NYC. I've yet to meet a sales associate at this location that didn't go above and beyond - everyone here is so helpful and friendly! Obviously the candles are amazing, no one needs to be told that. Would definitely recommend this one over the Soho location. read more

I had such an amazing experience at Dyptique Brooklyn the other day! From the second I stepped in, I was greeted by the lovely Maura who patiently and kindly showed me almost their entire line of fragrances. We sampled many of the top sellers in addition to ones she showed me that matched my preferred scent profile. After careful deliberation over the many amazing fragrances in their line I came to choosing the one I loved the most. Top notch customer service and care from Maura. Will definitely stop in again soon! read more

Diptyque in general is one of those brands that you have to have an idea of what they are. Going there to without looking online about their products can be a little bothersome because the staff are there to help but they're also not going to hover (which may be good for a neurodivergent). They literally leave you alone to explore. I've also never seen more than 3 staff in there so when it's busy (which it usually is) expect a tad of rushing. It's only because they have to get to everyone and give everyone a "luxury" experience. Every time I've been there, I've "sensed" stuffiness but if you're cool, they're cool. Today Kyasjha helped me. She went above and beyond. I went there specifically for the Fleur de Peau body balm I've been wanting. Then I asked about the Eau Capitale fragrance I smelled and wanted some information on it. I was trying to move quickly since it started to get a little busy and it was just her and another associate. She was patient and helpful and decided to pick up the Set of 5 Eaux de toilette with some of her helpful recommendations. This is one of my favorite stores, with some of my favorite types of people, with some of my favorite scents. read more

My first Diptyque experience was at Rescue Spa and I loved the scents, so I drove to Brooklyn to get the full experience. My favorite house scent is Baies (light and floral with a hint of berries). My favorite perfume scents are Do Son (sea breeze and white floral) and Tam Dao (warm incense, sandalwood, and cedar). Is it worth $200 a piece? Yes and no. The scents are very unique and I like to collect perfumes so that was how I justified it. However, it is definitely on the pricer side and the perfume only lasts 3-4 hours max. If you are obsessed with a certain scent, then splurge. If not, I recommend the sample set or roll-ons. read more

I have lived in Williamsburg for 30+ years and have welcomed many establishments, this isn't one of them. I've stopped here several times in the hopes of having a different experience, however, it's been consistent with with it being a horrible one. Everyone here is smug and standoffish. They will never get my money. Do better and get friendlier more welcoming staff Diptyque. Wish I could give 0 stars. read more

Happy to have a diptyque in the neighborhood but I will say there are some downsides. First and foremost, almost all of the staff is not friendly and smug. I have bought so much stuff from all of their locations and I was so excited to have a store here but these people just ruin it. Except for one girl who works there who is nice. Plus they're always out of stock on things. The last time I came in combined the smugness of the staff with their restocking issues. I asked for a hand soap bc the last time I came in they said it had sold out. I picked up the hand soap, showed it to him and he said "yes! We have it now. I'll grab it for you." I ended up not needing anything else so I went to the register to check out. That's when I noticed that he charged me for a refill bag. When I asked him why he did that he said "oh I thought you wanted a refill." So I asked him to refund me and rather than apologize and credit me he goes "don't you just have a bottle you can put it in?" AND THEN ROLLED HIS EYES AT HIS COWORKER. Dude- I worked in retail for a decade of my life. I can't imagine being this outright crappy to a customer. I was so uncomfortable after that and told him that no I didn't have a soap pump at home to which he responded that they were sold out of the soap and then I stood there awkwardly for 5 minutes as he took his time refunding me. It was so awkward I haven't been back since. Come for the not sold out products and leave quick! Talk to no one except that one girl lol. Today I ordered a candle online knowing that there may or may not be one just 4 blocks from my house. I'll never know. read more

I'm only here to tell you that if you want to snag a gorgeous little candle at Diptyque, but are overwhelmed by the impressively abundant collection of scent profiles and smells, just ask for CRYSTAL. She will take care of you! Crystal knows all things Diptyque and she is the absolute nicest and non-pushy, sales person you'd be lucky to ever meet. She taught us how to actually sniff a candle correctly, and helped me through the maze of scents to find one that I eventually left with. I wasn't planning on purchasing a candle and wanted to visit this shop just for fun since I recently gained my sense of smell back, but the genuine care and attention we received from her was special enough to want us to have the full experience of this candle-shopping moment. Remember, that's Crystal with a "C", and not Diamond though she's one in the rough! read more

I love this Diptyque location! I travel out of my way to go here versus the stores in Manhattan, because they are always so helpful and friendly, & the store is beautiful! read more

I absolutely love Diptyque but I had a pretty bad experience at this location in particular. I had received a mystery package from Diptyque and thought that I could bring it to the store so they could help me identify who sent it to me. The sales associate I went up to was incredibly rude and didn't even bother to try to help. I was pretty disappointed given how much I love and respect this brand and would have expected some better customer service from a luxury brand. read more

Very bizarre customer service - whoever is working there should truly be fired. My husband and I went in to smell some candles and check some soup - the way they spoke to us was truly disgusting. They should honestly leave the business of sales. read more

Truly amazing experience with Gabby who provided so much details on each candle note. She was so patience and went above and beyond. I ended up getting 4 candles, perfume and one diffuser. Thank goodness I'm not near this store or I'll go broke! But definitely worth it!! read more

Terrible customer service. The manager made me feel like I was doing something illegal for returning a perfume that was unopened within the return window. She was a blonde woman. Never ever going back into this store and I plan to call corporate to get a full refund because of the way I was treated. She treated others in the store very differently and as a black woman I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable. read more

Coming into the store is a little stressful. The sales associates don't let you casually smell stuff. They beeline to you as soon as you touch a bottle, and want to recommend things to you and spray test strips for you even if you say you're just browsing. I just need a little more space. read more

So I'm visiting from Portland and decided to walk around Williamsburg after meeting with a friend. I randomly walked into the store to see what it's all about. Once the customer were taken cared of I was approached by Christine and was instantly drawn to her positive energy! She made me feel so comfortable and was so knowledgeable of the products and was able to show me options that aligned with what I gravitate towards. While she was grabbing samples I chatted with them and their colleague Jordan about the wonders of of 30's, boundaries, and being unavailable. As a first time customer they both provided such an amazing experience! Thank you so much! I will definitely be back!!! Thank you Christine and Jordan! read more

My partner and I were on vacation in New York not long ago and staying in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. One day while exploring around the neighborhood I noticed the Diptyque boutique and had to go right in. Diptyque is one of my top 5 favorite niche brands. It smelled so delicious inside. The two young ladies that work there (one of them is Britt) are the nicest friendliest people you can ever find. Right away Britt helped me with my selections and made me feel right at home. Next time I am in Brooklyn I will visit them again and again. read more

Beautiful store/horrible service. Staff was aloof and unhelpful. With other options available I won't be going back.

i went in today looking to see what the la droguerie collection was all about and i am sold! jamal was super sweet and super helpful in explaining the candle technology and maintenance. they also took the initiative to introduce me to some of the other scents offered in store that matched the profile i was looking for. will definitely be back in once my candle needs flare up again. read more

I want to make Corporate aware of the excellence of the entire Williamsburg Boutique staff. I rarely leave reviews, but having a past in the luxury retail industry I am acutely aware of how challenging it can be to form an efficient team, skilled at client relation management in order to drive repeat business. You've definitely succeeded here in Williamsburg. You'll be seeing more of me & my dollars very soon... read more

I went to the Diptyque store at the Brooklyn location to initially look around/sniff around. I was immediately greeted by a S.A name Gaby. We discussed the scents I like along with notes to find the best perfume and candles for me. Gaby was extremely knowledgeable and even provided me with a few samples of the fragrances that I was interested in. A few days later I purchased a kit that contained a tuberose candle + do son perfume along with the do son perfume oil. She was even able to provide me with tips on mixing different scents together. My first visit was initially to look around, but my sales associate was so great that I purchased all these items without giving it a second thought. If you're looking for someone that is patient and is knowledgeable, I would highly recommend to visit this location! read more

Shout out to Jordan and especially Crystal!! She assisted me and my sister over the weekend for about an hour through our shopping process. She graciously let us sample all of the scents we wanted, very knowledgeable on every product in store and never pressured us just to make a sale. I don't think they even make commission there! We ended up each buying a 5 piece set of mini perfumes/ colognes of our choosing. The product is obviously great and speaks for itself but overall great experience at that stores location. read more

Went today and honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had in a boutique since covid. Gabby helped me at this location and was not only kind and gracious but super helpful. I literally walked out with more than I intended (all great of course). Honestly, in times like these, it's the little things and she was so helpful that I had to do a review. read more
