The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the products are pretty expensive (equal to a higher priced sephora line). I'm fine with cost if it is worth it, but their prices/products seem a little too "mom and pop". For example, the face oil I purchased wasn't full when I brought it home and opened it. So i went bak to see the other bottles, and they all kind of had slightly different amounts of product. My boyfriend also picked up a serum for me and he got a different pump than the dropper the product had two months prior. ALL THESE THINGS ARE FINE, just maybe lower the price until you have all the fine details ironed out.

Amaya (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) was incredibly helpful with my fragrance selection. Every scent smelled so good that it was honestly hard to choose just one -- I wanted to buy them all. She was patient, understanding, and really took her time explaining the origins and background of each fragrance, which made the experience feel thoughtful and personalized. She also let me know about a sample option that included the same four fragrances I really enjoyed, which was a great alternative while I decide on my final purchase. I had never heard of Aesop before, but the welcoming customer service and the incredible scent that drew me in from outside made me want to explore and learn more. Because of Amaya's knowledge and kindness, I now know exactly what I want when I come back. Amazing service, amazing fragrances -- I will definitely be back to make a purchase!

This isn't so much about the store, but about the brand…read more I've been a huge Madewell fan for at least the past 10 yrs. Lately, we're not in alignment as much. In the past, I depended on Madewell for consistently delivering on quality leather goods: tote bags for work, leather boots, loafers and cute casual bags. As an educator, those were my staples. They also had great smooth cotton graphics tees and my faves were when they'd collaborate with orgs such as the NY Botanical Gardens. Rummaging through the sale sections during off season is usually catch some great cardigans and blazers for the fall and great bandannas and jewelry to add a little razzle dazzle. Nowadays, the prices have risen astronomically. Little stackable earrings are now on average $58 and the clasps are weak and poorly made. One day after purchasing 2 pairs from this store, they're coming apart. Purchase a purse, the leather is trashy. A lot of the classics that myself and half the teachers at my school used to purchase have been removed from the rotation. Super annoying! Madewell, please get back to basics. I know the political climate has driven production up , but don't loose your entire customer base and maintain integrity around production. Thanks

It's a shame there aren't more Muji stores around the Tri-State, so having one in Williamsburg feels like a small win. This location is your typical Muji size: compact, clean, and well-organized. It's on ground level and easy to browse through. I do find the Hudson Yards location larger and more spread out, but this one makes the most of its space. When you first walk in, you're greeted by the stationery section, neat rows of pens, notebooks, and writing accessories that are always tempting. To the left, you'll find the home section stocked with cleaning supplies, linens, slippers, and dishware. A few steps up takes you to the apparel area, along with accessories, skincare, and other small lifestyle products. I usually stop by for their pens, smooth, consistent, and great quality, and their notebooks, which come in a variety of sizes and textures. Everything here has that simple, calming Muji aesthetic that makes even the most practical items feel special.
