They had a few n/a choices for beer, I had the lemon drop cocktail (Thursday special $8 cocktails well liquor). Ordered buffalo egg rolls, unfortunately they were very dry, no buffalo flavor. For dinner my husband had the Mozambique Mussels, they were supposed to be spicy but were just more vinegary- not bad just not what he was hoping, The dish came with crostinis to soak up broth. I was trying to decide between the brick chicken and the steak tips. I had the steak tips there before and they were excellent! The bartender suggested since I had them before to try the chicken. Great choice- it was so flavorful and moist! It came with asparagus and choice of starch. I picked roasted potatoes. Not realizing it was sweet potatoes- I think it had a sweet liquid maybe maple syrup? Little too sweet for me but tasty, The bartender was serving on the floor as well as the bar because their server had gone back to Ireland the day before - but she managed it well, as the floor and the bar was filling up! There are tables that over looks water if you are so inclined, nice music playing in the background. We will be back!!

Extremely disappointing experience, especially for a birthday dinner…read more I made and confirmed a reservation both online and by phone the day before, only to arrive and be told Estella was walk-in only. We were eventually seated at a dirty table that had to be cleaned. The manager, Solstice, was dismissive from the beginning and failed to communicate important information, including a dining time limit because of the show. We waited over two hours and never received my chicken pasta, despite asking multiple employees and being told it would take another 45 minutes. I ultimately paid for the check and left without my meal. The food was equally disappointing: * Calamari: 0/10 -- cold, mostly tentacles, missing cherry peppers/garnish, and we were told portions were reduced for the "game day menu" while regular prices were still being charged. * Lemon pepper wings: 2/10 -- over an hour, hard, missing pieces and barely seasoned. Katie thankfully corrected them. * Sweet & spicy wings: 1/10 -- undercooked and lacked flavor. * French fries: 8/10 -- honestly one of the better things we had. * We were also given what appeared to be used tartar sauce, which was extremely concerning. The cocktails were another miss. The Shoot for the Stars and Mango Mami were both extremely thick/syrupy and served in plastic cups for $18. The Tropical Margarita was good the first time and terrible the second. The bathroom was filthy, and hearing an employee openly complain about how nasty the women's bathroom was while cleaning it did not help. Eagan was the saving grace--he was pleasant and tried to help--and Katie immediately corrected the wing issue. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to overcome the overall experience. Solstice eventually said he would refund my bill, but I still haven't received the refund. We specifically chose Estella because my sister loves lamb chops and I wanted her to try them for her birthday. I canceled another reservation to come here. After this experience, I would never return and cannot recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

We were in town for the R&B Tour at Gilette Stadium last night, 8/17. In early June (two months…read morebefore the concert), we reserved a table to have a pre-concert dinner at Estella. Upon arrival, there was a line out of the door of the restaurant. We informed one of the staff members walking by that we had a reservation. He told us that we'd need to wait in the line and let the hostess know. It look 13 minutes for us to make it to the front of the line. There were two hostesses assisting when we made it to the front of the line. We informed them that we had a reservation and were told that our reservation was canceled because they don't allow reservations on event nights. Full stop here because I received a text message and email from OpenTable the day before our reservation asking that we confirm our reservation- which we did. I told the hostesses that there must be some confusion and I showed them the OpenTable text and email confirmation. One of the hostesses then said to the other that she was looking at the wrong place on the screen and that my reservation had not been canceled. At that point, they offered us a table outside. On a warm August day- no thanks. We agreed to wait for a table inside to become available. It took approximately 10 minutes to be seated. Our waiter came to the table to let us know that we'd have 90 minutes to dine and that we should avoid ordering any steak, burgers, or any other red meat because the kitchen was backed up and it'd take over an hour for us to get our food. We ordered calamari, garlic parm chicken wings, and truffle fries. About 15 minutes later, the calamari arrived at our table- lukewarm, bland, rubbery, chewy, bare patches, and detached breading. We waited another 20 minutes before the fries arrived. Still no chicken wings. The waiter told us that he had addressed this multiple times with the kitchen staff and they had ignored him. Like the calamari, the truffle fries were lukewarm and bland. The tardy to the party garlic parm wings were the best thing we ate last night and I'd rate them a 6.5/10. However, the lackluster food isn't why I ended up calling the manger over. After eating, I stood in line for the women's restroom. Upon making my way to the front of the line and inside of the restroom, I observed women yelling out from the stalls that they needed toilet paper and toilet paper was indeed being passed from one stall to another. Women exiting the stalls were informing women next in line that there wasn't any toilet paper in 2 of the 4 stalls, and to just yell out and someone would pass toilet paper to you. I've never seen anything like it. I felt a sense of pride (given the restroom solidarity) and also annoyed (given the restaurant's lack of care for guests' basic needs and comfort). Adding insult to injury- the toilets are discolored, there were no paper towels to dry hands after washing, and there was a mountain of discarded items on the floor next to the overflowing trash. How disgusting. After existing the restroom, I called the manager over- he told me that they were aware and were "working on it." I beg your pardon, sir. Unless you're in the market for bland food, brown toilet bowls, and poor service (we waited over 20 minutes and asked three different members of the staff to bring our check after our waiter disappeared), please skip Estella. TLDR: Estella gives brown toilet bowl energy. Don't walk. RUN!

I was also able to swap the pasta for one of my preference, which was nice. For $19, 2 eggs, and a slice of toasted bread the 'avocado' shouldn't be grainy and like it came out of a tub. It just wasn't edible. The eggs had an artificial butter taste like movie theater popcorn and were served on top of the toast which made it very soggy. I would not recommend. I'm rating 3 stars. Afternoons amazing! I had the 8 ounce sirloin which you could cut with the fork. It was cooked perfect and everything came out hot and fresh just like I wanted these otherwise I would've sent it right back cause I like my food to burn in my mouth. They also have for a couple dollars more you could get a filet mignon with special butter on top for $24. Everything came with a soup or a salad. It also came with a pasta or potatoes so starch and a vegetable or instead of the vegetable the day which was a carrot and green bean mix you could also get instead you get coleslaw. I got the coleslaw. It didn't really have a mayonnaise type dressing on it so that was a different kind of taste and it wasn't very cold so I kinda was concerned about that so I only had one bite. But the baked potato that I got was scolding hot. The butter melted right away in it, which is to me as a perfect potato came with sour cream. The steak like I said was tenders could be cooked exactly the way I like it you could cut it with a fork even though I had a steak knife. My partner had the veal Parmesan, which was a very large piece she can see from the pictures with he substituted Angel hair pasta for ziti. I think he should've stuck with a Z because Angel hair was just cooked too much. I was kind of soft like really soft like al dente. But the server was wonderful. She was very friendly. Kurdish came over as each person came in and offered to guess all drinks or a cocktail or something. She was just very involve which was wonderful. Then when it came time for dessert, we had a choice was great and not pudding or ice cream. We got ice cream with the choice of vanilla chocolate or Oreo cookie. I get vanilla the other half Oreo cookie. I did ask if we could get chocolate on it chocolate syrup there wasn't enough charge of a dollar for the hot fudge. It wasn't much so I just split it with my other half cause I didn't want to pay the app charged for two of us. I had a cocktail it was very very good. I don't remember it now, but it had like makers, mark bourbon and stuff and cherries. I didn't know how expensive it was until the bill came cause I didn't realize it wasn't priced on the menu but that's OK. I will learn and not get it again. I felt the bill was kind of high for what we had. We were gonna go out the next site to celebrate our anniversary, but with the price that we paid for dinner that first night on Tuesday we didn't really have enough in a bunch left to go out the next day. Our bill for this was $75 for the two of us. I know that's probably the average price now for going out to dinner, but I just thought that was a little high, but I didn't expect it to be really that much but we had a set price for dinner. But it's all brand new now. The insides all changed over. It's a little bit of dark wood, but I think like a cherry finish it kinda looks like they have a separate area completely from the bar to the restaurant. It isn't blocked off completely but it's made so you really have a separation there and we had gotten the function room in the back which seated with our party was 27. But I think you'll easily fit in 50 people in that back room. We've already decided when we go back. He wants to go back and try the burger but if we do that, we'll probably just get the one sandwich just to see if it's more reasonable period for us but it was wonderful. I really had a good time.
