They do have an ATM on-site. The batting cages were reasonably priced at about $10 for 5 games with 16 pitches each. The facility and equipment are a bit outdated, and some machines were slow or inconsistent with the pitches. I'd recommend bringing your own bat and helmet if you have them. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, which we appreciated. Most importantly, my godson had a great time! I'd definitely return, just with cash and our own equipment next time.

I just wanted to set the record straight because I have had business owners in the past message me all upset and whatnot. If you've never taken archery lessons before, swing through...this place was A-OK. I thought I was going to have to add the listing to Yelp, but someone did 9 hours prior...small world. And they also used a Groupon. I was originally going to go to the Staten Island based Groupon archery offering since it was 1/2 as much, but since I would have had to pay the toll to get to S.I, I figured it evened out. For 30 minutes, me and the one other guy taking the intro course learned about the methods and safety of archery. And then we put arrows into things for a little under an hour. We got about 4 rounds in I believe and were alternating on the 4 target course (narrow room on the second floor of some building) with a family of 4 who were obviously members and obviously practiced...they were on some Katniss and Legolas type ish. I feel confident picking up a bow and arrow now. Learned a lot from Q and Tyler. Q provided the archery lecture and it felt like a James Bond movie...you know when Q explains the gadgets to Bond. Except our Q was a woman. With a 99.9% safety rating. Ask her where that .1% went. I went to the 12 PM lesson on a weekday and I think the preceding lessons were packed or so I overheard. So I'm glad I chose the first lesson. It's why I chose the first lesson. Next up, fencing! And then ninjitsu.

We were…read morea large group (at least 20), and the instructors did a nice job staggering our group with safety instructions and prep while a set of tots were taking aim at the targets. Overall, it was a cool experience. We were buddied up and I paired with my friend, who immediately pigeonholed himself as troublemaker/class clown. He got some special attention from the staff and I received a couple of demerits for not following instructions (I'm oblivious, not insubordinate). Yes, friends, I had two of my arrows removed from my quiver at one point, but I couldn't really blame them as I had ample warning. Once I earned my way back into good standing, the arrows were returned. Shooting was fun and pretty straightforward after a few tries. My only criticism is that they should spend a little less time on the prep and let us loose sooner with the bows (time flies pretty quickly when you're shooting arrows). But I get why they over-prepare with the safety lessons.

The weather was in the high 70's ... not too bad for us humans but the staff at LSP made sure their horses were sprayed down and wore a protective cover over their ears, eyes and head which I'm assuming is to keep them from getting burnt by the hot sun. This level of care of their horses is exactly the type of institution that I love to support. You can tell they love and understand their horses. The entire staff was engaging and a gentleman named Rodney was superb. He made our experience an amusing one with his knowledge of the horses and their personalities. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! P.S. Got the pleasure of seeing what they called the "biggest horse" at the stable. His name is Norbit and he reminded me of one of the horses you in see in Budweiser commercial. Definitely a sight to see!

There is a large, wood-and-tire playground with two big climbing structures, slides, swings, tire…read moreswings, bridges, tunnels with a soft mulch surface. There is no shade here and it gets hot mid-day. It is not obvious, but you can park right next to the playground by the bike racks. Next to the playground is a sand volleyball court. Further north there is a baseball field, and a paved walking trail around the park, where you can see a cannon, a gazebo, and the berms created for flood control (Bound Brook has had a hard time with hurricanes in the last several years). One of the largest American flags that you are likely to see proudly flies over this park. The Green Brook which borders the west side of the park is a tributary of the Raritan River and offers good fishing opportunities.

Came for a tournament recently, so I can't speak much about the coaching or regular use of the…read moreclub. But the tournament was well run. Although I was a little surprised by the lack of a cord/weapon check at the start, but it was a small event. The club itself is a nice facility. There was plenty of workout equipment. There is a sitting room for parents that is air conditioned and heated (as appropriate). If I ever move back to the area, Hub City would be my first choice. (In fact, I regularly recommend it to friends in the area to try the introductory program.) They have all of their prices listed on their website, which many clubs don't do. I follow Hub City on facebook and they regularly have advertised specials for both Adult and Children's classes. Most recently was a $300 10-week adult class that included mask, glove and jacket - that is a steal! Hub City is also one of the few clubs I have seen offer a Mommy & Me program for kids under 7. I don't know too much about it, but it is a great way to introduce your child to a sport they could reasonably do into their 90s.
