I'll start by saying today was my first time using Union Auto Repair. Alec and his crew were fast and extremely fair priced! I saved just over $300.00 by using Union Auto Repair vice going to Mossy Nissan in National City. I highly recommend Union Auto Repair! They are now my go to mechanics here in San Diego. They exceeded all expectations for the work I had done. Thanks Union Auto Repair! read more

Friendly service at a decent price. Can't beat that. We've brought personal and work vehicles here. Would recommend.

Very reliable mechanic. In today's world it's hard to find honest service. I'm am very impressed in their professional approach and very friendly service. It's my second time bringing my car here and I highly recommend them for your car repair needs. Two thumbs way up. read more

Got new rear brakes at a good price. Work was done quickly and they did a great job. Will be going back to get the front brakes done.

Took my Honda Accord into the shop and the staff helped me immediately and did everything they could to get my car running again! Great customer service and support from Alec and the team. I'll be coming here for any future repairs because they're very trustworthy and efficient with their services. read more

These guys really know their suff. There's so much knowledge, experiece, and the will to go above and beyond, in these guys, and all in the customer's best interest....I took my Volkswagen Eos a few times, and they haven't disappointed me. Always offering advice and/or recommending whatever they see you'll need in trying to save you time, money and headaches later on... I'd recommend them anytime...even if it means I'll probably have to wait to be scheduled for a repair.... Check them out... read more

These guys are awesome! They responded fast and got me in and out . I needed a sensor on my car fixed and they did it for me no problems! I called around for a week and got really high estimates. I called a mobile mechanic who suggested me to this place and I'm so happy i chose them. I will definitely be going to them here on out. read more

We have had two cars worked on so far. We really like how honest and efficient this auto repair shop is. Octavio is very good at diagnosing the problem. It's hard to find honest people who do good work efficiently. I am happy with Octavio and Union Auto Repair. read more

A very reliable and honest mechanic...I had been going there for years and because I had moved farther I had to take my car to a different mechanic...long story short I had to bring car back to him to fix the damage caused by the other mechanic....I will never go elsewhere again! read more

My neighbor recommended Union Auto Repair. I had my car towed here and needed a new starter. Was quoted over the phone and they were able to fit me in right away. Thursdays seem to be a good day for them. The staff and mechanics were honest and respectful. They replaced the starter and I even got my oil changed as well. I paid what I was quoted at and feel like I got a good deal, they don't gouge you. I would recommend Union Auto Repair to my friends and family, and I will bring back my car here for maintenance needs. Thank you. read more

I had Jose change my Alternator and Starter. He had to remove the plastic fasteners to disconnect wires, flashing and such... In short he broke about 12 or so fasteners and did not informed me. Wires were hanging and could entangle with the radiator fan. I called him multiple times to resolve and he kept denying that he had done it. I inspected the car before and after the work, and there is not even a shadow of a doubt he did it. He did offer to fix, if I drove down to Chula Vista. It was not worth my time to drive to Chula when I could buy and replace faster. Cost was not the issue. It was the quality and lack of transparency that I am arguing... In short, I will never have him work on my cars and will share my experience with all. read more

friendly service but failed to test drive car before repairing. took in for wheel bearing noise, told them sounds like one side ( left?) to check it out to be sure. they repaired it without test drive to confirm which side. I picked up the car and noise same or worse. took it back and they confirmed never test drove before or after. paid them to replace the other side. they said it was very unsual for both sides to be bad at the time. maybe they weren't. read more

I've never felt compelled to write a review for an auto repair shop until now. Union Auto Repair quoted me $300.00 less than the other transmission repair shops that I contacted. I found Octavio and his team to be professional and trustworthy. I really appreciate how they didn't try to sell me any additional services like other shops I received quotes from. They were also super quick and got me back on the road in record time. I will definitely be coming back to this auto shop if heaven forbid, anything goes wrong with my vehicle. read more

Had to replace my husband transmission while he is deployed and I am in Michigan. Rick was extremely helpful in making this an easy and stress free experience! Thank you so much! Will always recommend and go here for future needs! read more

Rick leadership is amazing. I took a 1989 BMW 325i in pieces to Union Auto. Within a few weeks what I got in return was unbelievable. They did an awesome job putting my car back together. I would recommend this shop to my elderly grandmother. This shop has become my new number one go-to shop. The service, the personal attention and the commitment is what makes this business a great business. Most businesses could learn a few things about customer service from these guys. Keep up the good work Rick!!! read more

All the reviews about this place is TRUE! Enrique and the crew are awesome! They go above and beyond to check, fix and even give you options about your car. I'm never take my truck to GMC or soapy joes for any maintenance repairs! I'll be recommending them to all my friends. read more

Came in to shop in hopes of getting my RAV4 Toyota diagnosed and fixed; praying to get an honest work done w/o the run around hassle. Mr. Enrique definitely went above all expectations and assisted me with such humbleness and professionalism. He and his skilled mechanics quickly worked on my car in a efficient-fast timely manner without any delay. Mr. Enrique definitely put such a high priority and attention to the task at hand and effectively communicated with me continuously during the repairs. At the end of the day, my car was repaired and I left satisfied knowing that I've found a great shop for future repairs/ maintenance. God Bless Enrique and his work crew, I am very appreciative and thankful for all your hard work, honesty and integrity. read more

These guys are fast, honest, excellent mechanics. They have constantly repaired both my gasoline and diesel vehicles many days sooner than I'd have expected, with far better workmanship than I find out there on average.. They actually know how to troubleshoot stuff and properly fix it, as opposed to MANY shops I've encountered that just throw new parts at the vehicle (at your expense) until it works, and rip your wallet apart in the process with BullS##t. fees, absurd hourly wages, and.. well you know...... There are quite a few ripoff auto repair shops out there...Union Auto IS NOT one of them!! Trust me, I know good shops from bad... I won 4th place in the National Plymouth troubleshooting contest when I was a kid back in 1967, and I totally know both sides of this auto repair world. I just dont fix my own cars anymore cause I'm too old! Bottom line Union Auto is my #1 go to for car repair. Good guys!!!! read more

I am a 24yr old disabled veteran and single mother on a very fixed income. My 2007 Chrysler Sebring was overheating and leaking fuel and a plethora of other issues. I know absolutely nothing about cars and was new to San Diego area. When I tell you that THESE GUYS TOOK CARE OF ME, that is an understatement. Very reasonable prices, honest people, with quality and very time efficient work! I felt at home and relieved. I recommend them to anyone with any type of mechanical issues! I've had a few shops do some auto work here and there but after doing business here Union Auto will have all of my business in the future. Fast, efficient, and a good price. All you can ask for with car repair. Great shop read more

I have to say I'm not one to give out good reviews easily, but this shop is GREAT & deserving of one, I had my daughter's car in for a water pump that needed replacing & also mentioned an oil leak that no other shop was successful in stopping; these guys were able to fix everything right the first time. Enrique & Octavio are excellent in explaining the repairs needed to do the job right, they will show you the damaged/replaced parts & they are great with their customer service & people skills. Did I mention that I had several quotes done & that UNION AUTO REPAIR was a few hundred $ lower than the others? Believe me when I say you won't feel like you're being robbed by these guys. The way I found out about UNION AUTO REPAIR was they were recommended by another auto repair shop (South Bay Tuning) which also have good reviews but didn't do the type of job we needed, kudos to them for such a good referral. read more

I can honestly say I've never felt more comfortable and taken care of by a mechanic that I didn't know anything about beforehand. I brought my car here with very short notice and Rick had it fixed by the next day with a very reasonable price. I don't even live in Chula Vista but I will for sure be bringing my car here for future services. Thanks Rick!! read more
